The hotel is a comfortable one with well appointed rooms and all room amenities though it's a bit dated now. The hotel staff were very warm and hospitable, and they provided us with a high floor room and extended a complimentary cake for my birthday. And yes, there was bathroom towel art on arrival. All in all, a nice experience.

So clean. Near bus 25 going around to Cotai area. Peaceful area. The Filipino staffs are very friendly. We got a free upgrade to a king bed with bathtub. Will recommend this again.

Room is clean, location is good and walking distance the main attraction, only down side is not convenient of transportation as not easy to call taxi.

I have stayed at Hotel Royal with very good experience. Thus I chose to stay at Hotel Royal again this time. Regrettably, I did not have the same good experience this time. The reason is that I was told my hotel room was upgraded to a better one. I did have an expectation to stay in a more comfortable one.
However, as soon as I checked in around 9pm, it was the same size as the last time. I thought it was acceptable but actually not up to a normal one. The reasons were not only the drainage disgusting smell inside the washroom, and the TV did not function properly as without voice from the Jade News Channel ( 83) as well as no Jade channel (81) available. I had to request Front Desk to arrange Engineer to get it fixed.
Although the TV voice was fixed by two of their staff, the odd smell still remained on the following morning. I checked out at 11:00 with an unpleasant experience and might consider staying at another hotel next time.
I have written a very brief comment to the hotel.

Love to stay 皇都 Hotel in Macau, nice and friendly peoples in front dest, the hotel's room was cleanest and big.
10-12 mints walking to 新葡京,13 mints walking to 大三巴. Few minutes walk to buses station. Restaurant's are all in front of it.
Beautiful hotel we love it, we will stay it again if in Macau next time.
