The vineyard was beautiful and it was magical seeing the kangaroos in the morning and at dusk. The breakfast and food at the restaurant was delicious.

The front desk is kind and polite, the work efficiency is fast and patient, and the environment is also very beautiful. All in all, everything is perfect, allowing me to spend a perfect holiday

Great for playing with friends or as a couple! Great for relaxing And there is free tasting of red wine, which is a very novel experience and creates different memories with friends.

We stayed one night only , Room 6 in Hermitage House , after a day at the Bendigo Art gallery. Clean and cosy , with an outdoor table and chair ( too cold in winter) numerous rooms adjoined a delightful lounge with a gas fire, a well stocked kitchen with microwave, Nespresso machine, cups etc.. We had a Wine presentation, complimentary for in house guests at 4pm, very personal with just the two of us! Purchased their Sangiovese, to bring home and enjoy. Thoroughly enjoyed my birthday mid week trip!

This winery is situated about 15 k from Bendigo, and overlooks the CB vineyard Our group of 18 had arranged platters and wine for a restful afternoon The platters ranged from cheeses, meats and breads etc. All were very tasty ( but perhaps a little on the light side) A wine tasting area was also available We were seated outside but under cover A very relaxing couple of hours Good for couples or groups

We highly recommend the restaurant offerings and reasonably priced at 85$ pp for 3 courses. The tents were clean and comfortable. The AC unit was a welcome addition during our hot trip. The 2.5km walk around the winery was a nice way to finish off the evening. Unfortunately the let down was close proximity of tents and noisey neighbours. We politely spoke with them to no avail and the reception staff member neither acknowledged, validated or dealing with the issue.

Really nice experience from check in to check out, unfortunately we stayed during the storms and lost power, so we did not wine or dine but the accommodations itself was very nice. Our favourite part was the bathtub!! Some extra blankets would of been nice but overall a nice stay.

We stayed a night in a Deluxe Room in Hermitage House. The room was huge, as was the bathroom, and had expansive views out over the vineyards, as well as some of the glamping tents in among the eucalypts and passing kangaroos at dusk. Our stay included a free wine tasting at the cellar door, covering most of Balgownie's extensive range. We also dined in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast - both of which were very good. A relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Well today we arrived to check into our One Bedroom Unit Suite 2 that we booked direct online. Was extremely disappointed when I looked into the spa bath which still had the used towels and was not cleaned. Very unhappy, not good enough.
Response from Property: HI Robin, Thank you for taking the time to review our property, we value all feedback and use this to learn about our errors and improve our offering. We are sincerely sorry that you had this poor start to your experience and we hope other parts of your stay were to a better standard. We take pride in our offering and this was of a great disappointment to us, I have spoken to the responsible department and advised that this is indeed unacceptable. It is my understanding that two other team members from other departments did come and rectify the situation as soon as they were notified.

Lovely setting but the 54.00 platter was really poor value. More like 30.00. Let’s hope when inflation comes down yr not charging same Would be nice to see that happen but I doubt it. Post Covid for business is tough but dont rip off the punters

Quiet and blissful location overlooking the winery being 15-20mins away from the city centre. We liked the balance and mix of homestead and glamping without feeling over commercialised. Great to have the community kitchen which was clean and well equipped. Seeing the family of kangaroos, bird wildlife, winery with the solar panels farm and wind mills on the side was a nice touch. We stayed at the Homestead Queen which was nice, spacious and warm. We may try glamping next time!
