Stay 1 night with 2 room booked. Location is strategic,near to everywhere,behind the trans shopping mall,but room space quite small and quite old furniture. Swimming pool is great and clean. I stayed for one night. It’s not far from train station, less than 20 minutes walk. The hotel allowed me to check-in earlier despite no personal request when booking. I booked the cheapest rate without breakfast because I didn’t know what they offer for breakfast during these times. One thing I remember the most is that the towel and linen smelled nice, I think it’s jasmine. Amenities were enough, including slippers. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Luggage rack and door handle were not in a good condition (screws were loose), and the safe box was locked, I couldn’t use it. Hotel played instrumental musics on speakers, but it’s quite disturbing when it’s 10pm and you could hear it from the room. Cleanliness need to be improved. I found the dirts from previous guest under the bed frame, and public restroom on lobby wasn’t clean enough. Receptionists were ok, I didn’t interact with other staffs. I don’t mind staying here again.

If you'd like a hotel with a view in Malang, and centrally located inside the city, this is the hotel for you. It gives me a great value for the money. I stayed at standard twin bed room with a balcony with mountain view. The location is superb. I can walk 10-15 minutes to Kawi Street, where many restaurants located. However, a few things that can be improved. I went to the gym at 6 am, and no one there. However, AC wasn't turned on. So, after 20 minutes of intense workouts, you'll be drenched with sweat. No towel inside the gym was available. Bring your own from your room and bottle water as well. Maintenance and house keeping can be improved. I visited my sister who stayed on the 7th fl executive suite, and there was a hole in the curtain. And the room could use more deep cleaning. The bed sheets in my room can be replaced with the one without hole in it. With the years, some of the amenities could be replaced.

Just go away from this hotel. I booked for superior with kingsize bed, when i checked in, they told that only twin bed available. Well, then i take the key and find my room. Surprisingly the room is sooo bad, the lamp is broken, no hot water, no tv channel at all, wifi isn't working, dirty and spot on linen and pillow. And the best part is the bed is so uncomfortable, so i decided to ask for refund and walk out the hotel, they told me that they can't help me with the refund. The best part is when i ask for refund the receptionist is having me with his mouth full of food, very bad service and place, also spooky. I stayed in room 333 if you wonder

Receptionist and hotel staff are friendly. For star hotel *** plus value there is the swimming pool, and if the color is so delightful at night, the pool color can change. The hotel price is according to the standard of *** star, but if the holidays there is a adjustment for the price increase. This hotel is suitable for staying with family. The students around the hotel have enough options. Close to the clean and well-established Oro-oro Dowo Market and Malabar City Forest. Unfortunately couldn't try his breakfast, because our family had a trip to Bromo. So can't give testimony Take care and improve hotel service.

I checked in at 1 wib in the morning and was directly served well by the staff who looked fresh and friendly even though it was still in the morning. The room is although more narrow than Amaris in other cities (Ex: Jakarta and Bandung) but it's not a problem. The breakfast available varied Amaris typical and tastes quite good. The location is also on the main road of Malang city, even though it is quite far to the main square. What I like from Amaris Malang City, the water coming out in the shower is very loud so it's like the body's being a muscle flexed and the hotel's view north offers a beautiful mountain view

I was staying there with my family. Totally got Balinese vibes with a good ambience. Room is just common as usual but the outdoor area is great. Maybe you need to improve your hospitality of staffs. Sorry, as I am a hotelier too, I would say the hospitality should be increased more. I was about to re-schedule my stay but I canceled because it was not FOC. But then when I checked-in the staff was asking me for the charge of re-schedule (in fact I didn't re-schedule). I mean how could you missed it? I also was asking for the hairdryer to be sent to my room but the staff didn't give it directly until I need to call back and remind and no sorry at all on the phone. Oh I can't remember the name but there was a guy that assist me to the room and when I met him in the next day he still remembered me and greeting me in polite way. I didn't get his name but he has clear skin and thin body. Say my thank to him. But overall it was great to have you (Ubud Cottage Malang) for my holiday. Seriously, didn't mean to say anything bad. It was just suggestion to improve. Thanks

The entire hotel is like a historical museum, with many old objects inside. There is free afternoon tea and Indonesian traditional snacks after 4 pm. The front desk staff is also very friendly, but I don’t know why I ordered the Executive Suite instead of giving it to me. The one I chose was Superior Deluxe because we were going to Bromo Volcano at 12am the next day and only stayed for a few hours. Generally speaking, it is worth recommending.

This hotel has the worst service I've ever experienced. And the front desk, FENI. and the manager ANIE are the worst people I've ever encountered in hospitality industry.(photos attached). My experience was, I came with two other people. Booked and paid two rooms for 3 days 2 nights. Check in process, the front desk lady isn't even warm at all. Very rude. And she asked for deposit. And I said I got no cash so I will just go in the room first, and waiting for my other friend to arrived from the airport to just pay the deposit later upon their arrival. She rudely said NO. I asked nicely but she again said NO. She said I just need to wait, or use my credit card. And because her attitude was already HORRIBLE, I then refused to go along with her request. She then added ”You're from the big city, impossible you have no money”. Unbelievable. Long story short, I asked for the manager and surprisingly, the manager is no help either. She even more rude. Once she said ”you got no cash? People from big city must have credit card right?” Yet I still asked for help and understanding to pay in a couple hours. She said ok, (rudely) asked for ID card of three of us until we pay the deposit. Then I agreed. But because I left my wallet at home, I gave her my passport. And she touched the passport and said rudely ”I don't want this, I want ID card!”. I don't understand how she doesn't consider passport is a legitimate government ID. Then we decided to better leave and book another hotel instead staying at this already HORRIBLE hospitality. They also doesn't want to give us refund. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. DONT STAY

During our visit to Malang we stayed 2 nights in this hostel. We can describe it in 1 word as: RUIN. Both the showers, as well as the toilets, as the beds are very dirty. We doubt that it is being listened here. We also asked for help at the reception for booking Bromi, Ijen and the waterfalls in the surrounding area, but we received very little to no help. Tip: If you decide to stay here and book a trip, go to the other side of the House Jon, a very friendly service! We will not come back here anymore.
