The Black Bear Lodge was very nice. Stayed mid-week, the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable - the only things that really matter for a short stay. They run a shuttle to the mountain every 10 minutes or so and drop you off right at the door - a great amenity. Also had dinner in the restaurant - it was good and very convenient. I recommend the place.

The AC was loud but bearable. Facility was clean and comfortable. Daily housekeeping was top notch!

Very close to the mountain with a convenient shuttle service that runs every 5 - 10 mins. Breakfast included with rate
Staff are polite and try to be helpful.
Surprisingly the lodge does not have a laundry room which would have been convenient to dry out ski clothes.

The staff was very helpful and there was a great selection of food in the restaurant they had on site. It was my third year in a row staying there and there was nothing bad about it. I enjoyed the stay very much.

No modern conveniences. No microwave or frig. Not near anything, Had to drive at least 5 miles to get to anything.

Hotel was very noisy . No staff around . The grounds had a lot of trash around and there was also trash left in the lobby . The room smelled extremely musty .

The hotel was in walking distance of the little ski village and lift at Stratton. The breakfast was ok but the hot items (sausage, potatoes) were way too spicy. On Friday morning the breakfast was dried out but good on Saturday. On Thursday evening there was coffee in the lobby but we were told it had been there about 4 hours. On Friday evening there was fresh coffee and tea. There was daily housekeeping.
