The Hotel is old but well preserved and it is very well located. It's supously alowed to smoke (everything) inside the hotel, what is highly unpleasant for non smokers.
Although the service is friendly, it's poor, in our experience we had no body towels in the room and after I request it, I still had to wait a couple of hours to receive the towells which were in the laundry.

Is it suitable for a short stay?
The facilities are a little old, but there is a microwave and refrigerator.
The beachfront location is great, and there is a restaurant next door, but there is no convenience store nearby. Unless the pharmacy next door is closed. . . I'm sorry.

The staff were great at this property and made sure to make up our room , upon request at the front desk. Downside was your doorsign saying “make up room” left on your door is not enough. You got to tell the front desk receptionist.

Spent 2 nights, clean room and comfortable. Heater didn't work so asked for a exterior heater. Room warm after that. Needed iron board and received after asking 3 tomes.
Free parking and nice beach area for walking.

Room was okay, pretty motel-vibe. Our room had a view of the side alley that was frequently used by staff, it was loud and we had to keep the curtains closed. The sink and bathtub didn’t drain, water backed up right away. It was disappointing. Staff was nice and there was a microwave and mini fridge in the room. We also didn’t have to pay for the parking which was nice.

Its location and price are very decent and it’s best features. It’s an old place indeed but with some renewed elements that make it feel less so. The fact that it’s a small place with limited rooms makes it cozy. The guy at the front desk (sorry man I didn’t catch your name) was super friendly and answered to all our requests with a smile. At some point during the night there was a disturbance on another room, though, but it was quickly solved.

I love the Foghorn Inn and stay there every time I come to LA for the film business. Beautiful view and amazing location at the lowest price in the area. The motel is older but well maintained. I wish they would update a few things but with over 20 trips to the city, I don't know a better place for the money.

I've always wanted to go to Marina Del Rey! The Foghorn Harbor Inn has been around since the 1960's. It is a staple here. It's right on the beach & clean. The staff here are EXCELLENT, HELPFUL, & FRIENDLY. Thank you For a Wonderful Stopover! Trina Grant of S.C.
