Sierra Lago is a wonderful resort in one of the most beautiful settings in the world. The pristine lake, thick forests and abundant nature will dazzle you from The moment you set foot on this magnificent property. Roberto and the entire staff including Javier were there to honor our every request. My wife renewed our vows at the lakeside chapel. It was truly inspirational. Sierra Lago is well worth the long, winding sometimes bumpy drive. You won’t regret it!

Great place with staff doing whatever it took to make my whole wedding party happy. Roberto was excellent in everything we asked and needed. Great hospitality from Patty and Roberto. The resort is an amazing place and Roberto is an amazing host.

This was not a good wedding destination. They did not keep the restaurants open, so only the meals chosen by the couple were available and only at the times chosen. No other food was available to the guests. There is no ac, and even with the cool nights, the rooms are warm. The biggest issue was the reception dinner. Unbeknownst to the bride and groom, you were only given the option of food at your tables. The resort alternated between salmon and steak for each guest. If you did not like or want the choose picked by them, you had to trade with someone at your table. No other food options were even available to anyone, children included, and the same went for drinks because the resort did not open their full bar only feet away. Despite its beauty, I do not recommend. Especially for a wedding.

Very disappointed, I booked a buen fin promo, with free upgrade from standard cabin to suite and they didn't want to make it valid. They charged me extra and didn't respect the promo. Won't come back just for that, this is false advertising..

Couldn't be happier with our choice to visit Sierra Lago, as we traveled from Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta. From the cabana amenities, to the meals, to the beautiful lake and surroundings, the restaurants and the horseback ride...Sierra Lago was everything we hoped for and more. All of the staff made us feel at home. Rodrigo, Hugo, Ceasar and many more restaurant staff, Javier (2...securiy and bartender), Jose (stables), Nancy and Julie. Everyone we came in contact with helped make our stay memorable. My wife is already planning our next trip back. Thank you for making our stay a beautiful memory.

My family and I stayed at Sierra Lago for three wonderful days. Everything from our arrival to departure was perfect. The staff was very professional, pleasant, helpful and always had a smile. Our cabin was comfortably amazing and the turn down service was a nice surprise. We enjoyed the peace and serenity of the environment as there are beautiful flowers and picturesque landscaping throughout the resort. We enjoyed horseback riding, kayaking, paddle boats and swimming in the pool. Did I forget to mention the food? 😊 The menus had a good variety and we were quite pleased with every dish we ordered. What a stress free way to spend some much needed time away. Thank you Sierra Lago! We will be back!

We had such a wonderful time, there was so much to do between kayaking, paddle boards, carriage rides, horseback riding and hiking along with the beautiful landscape along with the usual pool food and bars. We didn't have a chance to do everything. The mountain location is so beautiful and relaxing it is a great place to get away to for peace and calm. The staff was excellent, the non-english speaking staff were very very gracious and helpful to full full our every want and need. Used Google translate to help our Spanish speaking, and they were always eager to help figure out what they could do for us. Lilia, Daniel, Isaac, Alejandro, Christian, Domitila, Hector these are just a few of the whole staff we got to interact with and got to know the best and feel like we became friends with. They made our stay extra special. Leticia as general manager should be very proud. Thank you all so much for making our stay so very wonderful and we can't wait to see you all again!!!

We cannot recommend the service, food, and overall experience highly enough! From Patty at the front desk, Cesar, Rodrigo, Hilario, and all the food service crew, and Brenda was amazing. Housekeeping was very good. The whole team took good care of us and treated our three year old with Down Syndrome like a Princessa

I’ve visited many resorts in my life so I can say without a doubt that this resort is the closest to “Heaven on Earth” that I have experienced. I cannot say thank you enough to the amazing Sierra Lago staff for taking such great care of my husband and me during our stay at Sierra Lago Resort. Special thanks to Rodrigo, Hugo, Cesar, Jose, Christian, Nancy, Julie, and Juvencio for making us feel so special! The beauty of this secret hideaway is simply breathtaking. So many things to do… We enjoyed walking and riding bikes around the serene lake. We went horseback riding on the lush trails with our wonderful guide Jose. We enjoyed hiking up to an amazing view of the Sierra Madre Mountains. We can’t say enough about the delicious food from the breakfast all the way to the dinner. And after a day of being active, we relaxed in our warm and cozy cabana. Our room was perfect from the large comfy bed, amazing shower, large jetted bathtub, gas fireplace, to the awesome view of the lake. We will be back for another visit, that is certain! Thank you, Sierra Lago Resort and Spa!
