Overall another good MW holiday, top marks for all the hotel staff, housekeeping restaurant. Food was good as always lots of choice. However there was a noticeable shortage of MW staff on the beach this time. James the beach manager does a fantastic job and works really hard himself to ensure the guests have the best experience. But the team was lacking in staff which meant waits for and limits on boats on the water due to lack of safety boat cover and in order to comply with their insurance. At times it was operating a 1 in 1 out policy. Boats that were wanting to come in were made to go back out as not enough beach staff to land the boat. Not all the beach staff have James work ethics. We also heard other guests saying cycling was understaffed. Not really what you expect on this type of activity holiday. Hopefully MW management will address this issue for next year.

We have just returned from a week in Lemons as a couple with university age daughter. Great location just 25 minutes from the airport. Island is quiet and unspoilt. Interconnecting rooms booked with elevated view across the bay to the wonderful sunsets and grandstand position for the sailing area (should have brought binoculars). Room clean and tidy but in need of refurbishment (we were in ones that were billed as refurbished (?!). Bathroom tired. Bed comfortable but pillows and duvet definitely showing signs of it nearly being the end of the season. Cleaned daily although it would have been nice if the cleaner hadn’t turned up at 8.30 every day ! Towels a little threadbare and bath mats bleach stained and unravelling. Shampoo, shower gel and soap provided. No conditioner or body lotion. One pool towel each, again a bit threadbare but appreciated. Aircon very efficient. Pegs on the driers on the balconies. Activities :- Loved the bikes both road and mountain. Plenty of both. Tom and Ben very helpful and keen to tweak with odd minor issues. Lots of guided tours should you wish to ride in company. Good quality roads. Can’t speak for tennis as not our thing but seemed lively. Didn’t participate in the Tipsy Tennis ! Classes - plenty of choice. Outdoor yoga and Pilates a joy in the evening breeze. Aqua aerobics silly fun in the heat. Didn’t try anything more energetic. Watersports - daughter completed RYA 1 with Will and thoroughly enjoyed it. Only one other person on the course so practically private lessons. Plenty of kayaks and SUPs. Husband had a foil board lesson which was fun but sadly low winds prevented him from going out again. Windsurfing equipment plentiful with sails showing signs of end of season fatigue. Lots of people enjoying lessons. Beach staff really proactive helping with launching and landing. Straight into the water to assist. All pleasant and chatty. Rescue boats buzzing around constantly happy to bring you back in if you’d had enough or the wind had dropped off. Dinghies - good range & in great condition. Always something available even when the racing was on. Pool a perfect temp for swimming. Same depth throughout (1.4m). Really quiet. A joy to swim lengths. Never any issue with securing a sun bed. Toilets in childcare adjacent to pool in need of refurb and showers in the building very dated and cramped. Food was spectacular. Evening meals are buffet style taken outside. Daughter is a veggie and she was spoilt for choice. Not just the usual veggie burger. Fresh choice of salads, bbq meats, sea food etc. small selection for dessert but more than adequate and supplemented with a choice of ice creams. Better value to order carafes of wine than bottles. We all very much looked forward to 7.30 every night. Breakfast choice very good. Hot and cold and plenty of fresh fruit. This is taken upstairs. The area is a little cramped and gets quite busy. Slightly precarious with small, loose children and hot food

Lemnos is a lovely island, the location is good - a short taxi ride from town. The site is pretty steep so it won’t suit everyone as there are quite a lot of steps. Our room was good, with a comfortable bed and good air con, which we needed even though it was early June. The rooms were spotless but could probably do with refurbishment. The food was some of the best we have had at Mark Warner but the self service format disrupts the meal and conversation. The sunsets were spectacular. I did not appreciate the feral cats wandering around during dinner. The sailing area was good but the maintenance of the boats was not of a high standard eg sails with no battens. The pool area was very nice but probably needs more umbrellas in high summer. Staff were helpful and friendly throughout, the manager and her team were very welcoming. The post dinner “entertainment” should be stopped immediately, give the staff the night off! Ridiculous quizzes, loud music, nothing Greek! It’s a lovely quiet location with beautiful views, during school holidays it might not be quite so quiet but the island is small and quiet. Even in early June it was over 30 degrees.

The good: Hotel was great, food was tasty, room sea views were fantastic, hotel and Mark Warner staff helpful and friendly Needs improvement: Road bikes hadn't been maintained and were unsafe. They were pulled after a guest had a tyre blow out. There was only one Mark Warner cycle staff member and there really needs to be two to cope with any mechanicals (we had two mechanicals and had to wait over 30 minutes for a member of Mark Warner staff to bring a replacement bike) The top tennis court is uneven with many folds causing dead bounces - it needs resurfacing.

Mark Warner Holidays are so versatile for all ages, demographics and different wants from a break away - it is what you make it and I have a different experience every year. This year it's been fab for me as a female, solo traveler aged 31 (outside of kids holiday season) - I felt very safe, looked after, and part of a community, yet independant and able to explore whenever I fancied. Typically I don't stop bouncing from activity to activity (a whole range of land and water sports), chatting to everyone, but this year I balanced this with recovery, relaxing days where I kept myself to myself on sun loungers and in the room courtyard (it was equally as lovely). For me, it's the staff at this resort that make the holiday so special - management's professional warm and friendly style clearly shapes a collegiate, welcoming, and enthusiastic team who focus on ensuring the guests are happy and having a fun/relaxing time. On the other end of the spectrum, there were some families who utilised the amazing childcare facilities (for their young babies) which had no impact on the adult feel to this holiday - I think it's an ideal place for a friendship group that's at different stages of their lives, able to do their own things whilst also having the ability to socialise together as and when they choose at breakfasts, day activities, late afternoon beach bar drinks and / or dinner. I would highly recommend this resort.

Another nice holiday at Lemnos Village. Location is good, pool and beach close by and always tidy. Staff are very friendly and polite, couldn't fault them. Only criticisms are the rooms are very very tired chipped paintwork on doors and walls, rusty waste paper bins in bathrooms and dated furnishings and sanitary ware. Slight sewage smell in bathroom. Internet is very bad could hardly get any most of the time. Breakfast and Dinner are excellent with huge choices. Would be nice to maybe offer a courtesy bus to Myrina a few times a day as there isn't anywhere else to go and taxis can start mounting up?

All the staff were nice, had a great atmosphere and a very nice accommodation with fun activities to do. The boats were in good condition and gave a vast amount of boats. There was a great variety of food options with lunch dinner and breakfast which was all delicious.

Great Mark Warner holiday in the sun. Good food, great staff and sunshine! The resort is very clean and all equipment is good. Take a bike out and cycle to the local port. Beach is clean and a stones throw from the hotel.

We had a wonderful time at Mark Warner resort Lemnos 30th August to 7th of September. Timing wise as most children were back to school it was mostly adults, some with their inbetweeners! We enjoyed the activities across the resort, including the sailing and of course the water polo! The quality of food was good, prices for food and drinks (outside of breakfast and dinner) are a bit more than they would be off site but not excessive (We averaged £25 a head a day for snacks, lunch, and all alcohol). The Mark Warner team were professional and attentive. George the manager was omnipresent, friendly, and informative. Improvements I would suggest would be for Mark Warner could bring bottled water to the airport to pick up new arrivals, offer a personal trainer session to help guests plan their exercise activity goals and maybe review the evening entertainment. All in all we were very happy, I wasn’t too bothered by the Greek rowers, who were letting of steam by the pool but weren’t a problem. We also staged a GB vs Greece water polo match on the Thursday morning which was fun and of course we won!! We are attending to return.

Really poor decision to allow a huge group of unsupervised teenagers to descend on Lemnos Resort for 2 nights. It changed the atmosphere of our holiday from a great active break to a PGL style kids’ camp and has really put a dampener on the holiday for all Mark Warner guests. I discussed this with the resort manager, George, who essentially told me that this was too good an offer to refuse as there was no way they’d get such occupancy at this time of year. He did not even offer a reduction in the bar bill or any form of compensation, despite acknowledging this was far from ideal. The Mark Warner website implies exclusivity, but the influx of 100 14-year-olds with barely any supervision is not what anyone would expect. No doubt we have paid a lot more than the rate offered to the rowing contingent. Despite this, the food has run out (a late booking of said 100 extra guests), Mark Warner guests have been kept awake at night and it is all very disappointing.

Wonderful stay first time here having previously holidayed with other activity holiday operators for summer activities. Good range of equipment for sailing and cycling. Rooms are very clean and comfy beds. The hotel grounds are very well kept and presented .the sunsets in the evenings are magical and definitely get a prime spot to view from the bar. Areas for improvement : WiFi service is very poor for this standard of hotel. Variety of food could be better ie same breakfast every day the orange juice is not fresh but tastes more like orange squash and very weak one at that. Dinner lacked variety and one evening one of the main dinner items ran out very early and the catering staff were pretty rude when asked if there was more coming. Evening waiting staff could be more attentive to clear plates from tables when sitting with numerous dirty dinner plates for much longer than is necessary. Evening entertainment could be improved particularly as there is no where to walk to in the evenings unless you get a taxi into the nearest town. Mixed opinions on the mark Warner staff this year clearly run by a lot of very young students maybe they were too tired from their nights out and a busy season but didn’t feel the high energy vibe from them.

We travelled for two weeks, end of July into beginning of August 2023. We had another brilliant holiday at Mark Warner Lemnos. The hotel is very well run by George and his team, and we couldn't recommend it enough. The food was fantastic, and meal times were an absolute joy. The rooms were clean and the grounds were very well kept. The Mark Warner beach team were excellent as ever, as were the childcare team and the restaurant staff and cleaning team. The bar prices were a bit punchy as ever, but nothing you can't get over. The view at sunset from the terrace is arguably the best there is. Thanks to all for a lovely holiday.

Great holiday hence I will give the resort 5 stars and the staff and MW staff were excellent. Good Premium suites are worth the extra...website doesn't show how fantastic they are...beautiful furnished and views to die for....drinking prosecco with that view everynight was special. Pool is very nice to swim in Tennis is very well run thanks to Matt and Will Food...breakfast....poached eggs to die for and great spread of food Dinner....Salads and desserts Bad Resort needs money spent. MW head office very proudly told me it had 4 tennis courts....but didn't say one didn't have a net😂 Matt and Will did an excellent job with 24 tennis players on their drills. Bikes....I am told by other guests weren't great but for us were perfect and well run by Cat. Ugly MW drinks reception was terrible. Canapes were a joke and looked like they had been made by a kid and the Sangria was tiny and poor. George gave his welcome speech surrounded by terrible drinks and one canape and after that I thought he was a bit of a joke. No manager welcoming guests should have stood for that. Food Anything that was cooked on a grill, pan or rotisserie at dinner. Having dry chicken off a rotisserie was ridiculous, tough beef bourguignon cooked infront of you or tough meat cooked on a grill in front of you was terrible. I wasn't expecting lobster and fillet steak but I was expecting cheaper meats cooked well and not cooked horribly. How George or the restaurant manager can't see this is Ugly. Dinner is always a highlight on holiday and I always try a little bit of everything to see what I like. Hence I know how well the salads were prepared, and fish cooked in sauce but the show piece cooked meats each night were poor. The resort is recovering from covid so I have no issue with equipment needing money spent, but won't forgive poor cooking of cheap meats. This is our 3rd MW holiday and the only resort we wouldn't return despite having a great holiday.

Now, this is not a 5 star luxury experience - it is however one filled with the warmth of welcome often not seen, a care and commitment that makes it a hugely enjoyable place to be, with staff who do go not just the extra mile but much more to ensure everyone has a good time. Range of activities is good - tennis, sailing and cycling in the main. Kids catered for admirably, non-stop staffing of sessions from 9am through to 12.30pm, 2.30pm - 5.30pm and evening activities - all targeted sensibly in 6 or so age groups. Plenty of great fun for children of all ages. And also the opportunity to book onto courses to bolster knowledge specifically - unless you're an absolute perfectionist I'd embrace all that is on offer, not get worked up about whether the sailboats are the latest versions etc because there's enough for everyone and everyone had a great time when I was there. If you do, however, there are new cycles and rackets! The accommodation is perfectly fine, cleaned perfectly each day, air conditioned and spacious enough. Yes there could be improvements - if it’s a rainy evening there’s not so much to do, the Wi-Fi is poor so on the downside no Netflix worked but on the upside meant was less bothered by work. Hotel staff incredibly joyous and polite. MW staff equally committed. Mostly university students working their summer so to an extent the coaching and supervision not the best but perfectly fine - the fitness chap was the only one who was lacklustre and somewhat full of his own self. Range of activity good - good at breakfast average (gripe would be why the juices were some sort of 1970s powdered version rather than fresh given the abundance of fruit. Food in evening was very wide ranging in choice, quality good. Prices of drinks very good - compromise is it is mainly local so you’re not getting brand name wines but value is incredibly good. There’s also not a lot going on late evening - bar is ok but not welcoming in its layout or quality. Sofas are old and tired. Five school (Black Rock is exceptional).
