Excellent service attitude .. I haven't set off yet.. The owner got to know my information through Trip.com..  You can prepare a yukata.. Because I am traveling alone with a child.. After arriving at the store, he will explain the nearby environment.. Attractions..Which restaurant can you go toand explain the closing time…the owner is very kind..took us to the room and patiently explained the facilities..if we have any questions, we can call him.He will come to help.. There is a home a feeling of. The environment of this store is comfortable and relaxing. I will stay here again if I have the chance.

The rooms at this ryokan are very spacious and clean. There is no separate shower booth in the room, but there is a sink, and among the three baths on the first floor, the single room (one) has a high turnover rate, so it was not very inconvenient. There was an English-speaking staff, and they were very kind, which was nice. You can check the availability of the open-air hot spring bath on the first floor through a tablet PC in your room and go down to use it. The breakfast buffet, which mainly serves Japanese home-cooked meals, is also excellent. After eating, I recommend taking a walk along the stream in front of the ryokan. If you go to Yufuin, I would definitely recommend this accommodation. The ryokan pub is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and dinner may be closed if you arrive late, so please check in advance.

The room is very old, the bathroom and toilet are separated, and the bathroom has no mirror. The bathroom and toilet are very high. It takes a pedal to enter. The hot spring is located underground. The health is OK. It is necessary to make an appointment and only one hour to soak. The store's service attitude is very good, because there is no elevator. The store picks up the luggage on the third floor. When checking out, there are also helpers to carry the luggage down, and stand at the door to personally send the guests away. The service attitude is very good. I woke up in the morning and saw that the surrounding scenery was good. There was a mountain and farmland behind it. The air was fresh and very comfortable.

My daughter and I stayed for 2 nights.
It was clean, and it seemed like a smoking room, but there was no smell at all.
Yasunaga is famous for its good water, and it was the best! The water in the Cheongtang was really, really good.
There was a separate hot spring in the room, so I went to the hot spring a lot.
The water was really soft and nice.
The food was delicious, and I had a good rest.
The delivery person was also really nice, and it was the best!

The accommodation is beautiful, the surrounding atmosphere is good, and there is an onsen hot spring to soak in. The food is delicious. **But what I am not very impressed with is the control of other service providers. Mostly, 99% on the day I stayed were Koreans who were not very polite. They did not know even the etiquette and rules of using the public hot spring. I am not sure if the owner of the accommodation has informed the rules of using the hot spring, which is something I cannot accept. They were loud, threw the earbuds on the floor, and were not orderly. They also wore shoes in the common area of the dressing room in the hot spring. I was very disappointed. It was a rather disappointing vacation, even though it should have been a good day for me. I lost the mood to soak in the atmosphere. I did not even have the heart to take pictures of the atmosphere with the accommodation.

We had a great 2 nights stay at this Ryokan. Location was near Yufuin Floral Village, and around 20 mins walk from Yufuin JR station. It was a nice walk to Yufuin JR station as there were many shops and eateries that you can visit along the way. Alternatively, there is also bus 36 from Yufuin but terminal that would stop near to the ryokan.
The staff were really outstanding, friendly and helpful. When we arrived, a couple of them rushed to help us with our luggage and to also shelter us from the rain. During the entire stay, they made us feel very welcomed.
The Western/Japanese room that we booked was very spacious and had all the amenities we required. Note that this is a 2 storey living area - level 1 had a bathroom with private indoor and outdoor onsen as well as the living room, while level 2 had a toilet (w/o bath) and 1 western bedroom as well as 1 Japanese bedroom.
There are 4 public onsen in the ryokan. 2 for female and 2 for male. They would rotate it during the day and night to allow everyone to try out the different onsen.
We also had our breakfast and dinner at the ryokan as part of the package. The dishes were different on both days. The spread was huge and food tasted great. Note that there are very few places open at Yufuin during dinner time.

My husband and I went to Yufuin and Beppu for a hot spring and relaxation trip, and we chose Yufuin as our first accommodation and it was a very satisfying trip!
If you're bored in a room with an open-air hot spring, take a dip, drink beer in the evening, and even after waking up! I enjoyed the hot springs to no end.
I loved the clean environment without any floating objects, so much so that I could tell they kept running water and paying attention to cleaning.
Although it was different from the cloudy sulfur of Beppu, I could feel that the water was nice here as my skin was soft all the time.
As seen in other reviews, the staff spoke English so there was no difficulty in communicating and they were very friendly.
This is a small view of Mt. Yufudake.

The hotel is at the foot of Mount Yufuin, which is a bit away from Yufuin Station. After visiting the town every afternoon, the old man will pick you up by car. After checking out, you can send it to the station. The traffic is basically no problem.
The rooms are large and clean, and the facilities are a bit old. The soup is very comfortable, which is the highlight of the hotel. The front desk will help with luggage and turn on the air conditioner in advance. Dining in the restaurant on the first floor, the dishes are good and the taste is so-so. satisfy.

Environment: About 10 minutes drive from the train station, the hotel driver will pick up and drop off, the hotel environment is very quiet.
Service: The service is very good, the hotel room is 10, the service staff is both in the number of jobs, but the service is very thoughtful.
Facilities: There is a bookstore upstairs in the check in, you can order coffee, very comfortable. The room is fully equipped and there is a private soup in the room.

The room window is full of mountains and countryside, and the taxi to the station is only 600 coins; secondly, the outdoor private soup is very beautiful, thanks to the Ctrip housekeeper for helping us to reserve the private soup in advance; then the dinner is really great, especially the wagyu hot pot, which amazed us in one bite; the service attitude is very good, the emotional value is full, the house is a bit old, but very clean, in short, it deserves a high score.

Rro4chThis was our favorite stay during our 11-day Kyushu tour, and it happened to be on our very first night. The room was spacious, comfortable, and incredibly relaxing, and the private onsen was amazing—we used it both at night and in the morning. The service from the hosts was exceptional. We accidentally left a bag of clothes after check-out, and they had it delivered to our next hotel the same evening! We’re so grateful to the person who drove up and down the mountain in the dark to bring it to us—it was a 30-minute drive away. Apologies for the inconvenience! Overall, it was an unforgettable stay, and we’ll definitely return.

I love sleeping on tatami - I slept for 10 hours!
Unfortunately I felt a bit dumbfounded when the dinner included is just ramen. On the trip.com photos there are two photos of meals and I assumed one was dinner and the other breakfast. Maybe this use to be the case but trip/ the hotel should specify better what is being served. Especially in small towns there aren’t many dinner options - there is an Aeon (supermarket) a short walk of course if you’d like a bento dinner instead.
Also no wifi in the room. As an international traveler I had to up my esim data for the day. They don’t advertise wifi in the room - they have it in the lobby so it wouldn’t be hard to get an extender to the rooms.
The onsen was nice however I found the outside onsen made a lot of noise- I’ve been to many onsen and this was the first that ever made noise from the filter so it wasn’t as relaxing as it could have been.

If you're looking for a budget-friendly hostel with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to be. The owner couple is incredibly friendly and makes you feel at home right away. I was greeted by a new roommate and the owner even took us on a night tour to Kinrin Lake and Floral Village, which was such a lovely surprise. The breakfast is absolutely delicious, and the couple’s romantic gesture of singing a beautiful thank-you song before you leave just adds a special touch. Their voices are stunning, and it truly makes you want to return

WWu Kwok ChungThe hotel is located about 7 minutes walk from Yufuin station. It is not so close to the walking street and so not so noisy and crowdy. The staff are polite and can explain to us in English. The room is big and they will serve you the tatami bed at 6pm. There are 2 public onsens, one for men and one for women. Only 1-2 people were using when I went in. I didn't book the dinner and breakfast there because there are many foods in the walking street. The view of the balcony is good too. I drank beer and sat very comfortably to look at the night view that night after taking the hotspring. What a life!

GGuest UserFirst of all, I was very satisfied with the location! It was nice that it was close to Yufuin Station and the bus terminal haha.
And the owner was friendly and could communicate in English, so I was guided well!
Above all, I went because of the hot springs, but they said that the family baths can only be used if a “child” is included..! We couldn't use the family bath because it didn't meet the requirements, so we used the public bath. However, since the public bath is only used by ryokan guests, we were satisfied that our family could use it almost privately for two days. In particular, I brought a grandmother in her 80s with me and she really enjoyed it!
I requested breakfast, and I was able to choose between 8:00 and 8:30, and it was a really neat and clean Japanese home-cooked meal! I stayed for two days and was satisfied with the different types of side dishes and drinks. It seemed like they paid a lot of attention to hygiene, and I felt like I was treated well, so it was a really nice place to stay.
Next time I go to Yufuin, this is a place I want to stay again! ☺️

MmummywandersThe hotel is slightly over 1km from Kirin Lake and the shopping lane but it offers free bikes for use by guests and cycling to the attractions is a breeze from the hotel. In addition, the hotel offers booking for three of their onsen amenities - open air, semi open air and we xtra hot osen. Guest can book the preferred slot at one of the onsen location and by about 8pm, the hotel will allow guests to book any additional slots at any of their onsens. We managed to have slots for all three of the onsens, each was well maintained and provides you to have privacy of quiet onsens. There is a hotel lounge where you can have free flow of cold and old drinks too...
