Mountain View Hotels in Ulaanbaatar

I really loved staying here. The place was incredibly clean, comfortable, and cozy, and it genuinely felt like a home away from home. Everything I needed was already there, which made the stay so easy and relaxing. You can really feel the warmth and care that went into making this place. I’d happily stay here again and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and peaceful place to stay.

We booked for one night with breakfast. At check-in, we explained to the reception that we would be checking out before breakfast and asked them to pack it for us to take away. They said 'okay.' In the end, no breakfast was prepared for us in the morning, and they claimed they didn't remember our request. Basically, they decided to save money on us. We ended up checking out angry and hungry. The room was clean, BUT the toilet/bathroom door was framed with a mirrored panel, allowing you to see everything happening in the bathroom through the reflection. This detail seems to be specifically designed for some fetishists. There's no door in the shower, so water just flows onto the floor and splashes everywhere.

The room was clean and tidy, and the housekeeping staff were diligent. However, the hotel's liaison for Trip.com customers provided very poor service. They did not address or act on my request to adjust the check-in date, even though it was still a month away, which significantly impacted my overall experience. Similarly, the Trip.com liaison for this matter was also very poor, offering only robotic responses and showing no effort to advocate for the customer. When I return to Ulaanbaatar in the future, I will not choose this hotel again. The prices are comparable to five-star hotels like Kempinski, but the service is far from it.

I recently stayed at Shangri-La Ulaanbaatar, and overall, I had a very positive experience. What stood out most to me was the excellent location and the consistently great service throughout my stay. If you’re considering this hotel, I’d recommend it—especially if location + service are your top priorities.

The entrance ambiance, room cleanliness, and amenities were all great. The toilet also had good water pressure, so flushing was never an issue. I stayed at a different hotel in Ulaanbaatar the night before, and the toilet there didn't flush well, so this hotel was a much more comfortable experience. I highly recommend having the hotel arrange your transfer to the airport. They arrange proper luxury cars that match the hotel's prestige, and the comfort level is significantly better. The only area for improvement is the dinner on the first floor. The staff's service was fine, especially the male staff who was excellent and constantly attentive to the surrounding tables. Regarding the food and drinks: many drinks listed on the menu were actually unavailable. It was disappointing that there were only two types of beer. For food, we ordered a salad, T-bone steak, and lamb leg. The T-bone was tough, and although I requested medium-rare, it was thoroughly medium. The lamb leg was tender, but considering it as local food, it was just okay. If the drink menu were more extensive and the cooking skills improved, I would use the restaurant again.

After two-and-a-half weeks in Western Mongolia, my friend and I treated ourselves to two nights at the Kemnpinski before returning to our homes. The room was spacious and spick-and-span clean. The bedsheets were exchanged already after one night. The dinner at the Japanese restaurant was wonderful in a private room that allowed us in-depth conversation reminiscing about our experiences. The second night we treated ourselves to massages and facials at the spa - the best we have experienced in hotels. Breakfast offered a wonderful selection of fruits, veggies, eggs, cheeses, and good coffee. All-in-all a great experience.

My very 1st trip to Ulaanbaatar has been made perfect with the staying at Best Western Premier Tuushin Hotel. It’s located in a very central and convenient area, just next to the Sukhbaatar Square. Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast has a good selection. More importantly, the staffs at the Reception desk are extremely friendly, professional and helpful. I wish to give 10 out of 5 for their incredible hospitality. In particular, when I inquired the airport bus, Degi not only helped me downloading the UB Smart Bus app to check out the buses but also prepared a small map to ensure I can find the bus stop at night. She also helped us in arranging a cab for work. Bold, a young gentleman on his gap year, warmly received us upon arrival. He even took some cash out of his own pocket when I asked for help in getting smaller notes for the cab charge. Besides, they also speak very decent English, making our communications much easier and impeccable. I shall definitely come back to Best Western Tuushin for future trips to Ulaanbaatar. I had a pleasant stay at the Ramada Hotel overall. The service was excellent—staff were friendly, helpful, and made the experience smooth from check-in to check-out. The location is a major highlight for me, as it’s very convenient. I had to pick up my husband early in the morning from the airport, and it only took about 45 minutes, which worked out perfectly. There is also a lounge on the top floor, which is a nice feature, although it felt a bit old-fashioned. In fact, the hotel overall has an older style and could benefit from some modernization. The room itself was on the smaller side but still comfortable enough for a short stay. One issue I noticed was with the bathroom ventilation. Even though I was on a non-smoking floor, when I turned on the ventilator, cigarette smoke seemed to come through. Once I turned it off, the smell disappeared. Additionally, we stayed two nights, and housekeeping did not come to make up the room, which was a bit disappointing. This is an area the hotel could improve. Overall, despite a few inconveniences, I would still recommend this hotel for its great service and excellent location.

A really excellent hotel! The reception staff are so friendly and professional, and they speak very good English. They helped give me directions to nearby ATMs and also called a taxi service for me to go to the airport on my last day. The room was always very clean and the bed was comfortable. They have a laundry service that is quite cheap, and it was very convenient - you just have to put your dirty clothes in a bag and give it to reception, and they will return it to your room (usually on the same day). The breakfast was also delicious - a combination of a cooked breakfast, fruits, yoghurts, salad, cereals and cakes, along with tea, coffee and juice. I really enjoyed my stay here and I would definitely come back!
