Would i stay again? Absolutely! Pros Bicycle provided to enjoy the nearby rice fields, local country lanes - you can even ride into town to enjoy the river, museums, restaurants and many temples. I really enjoyed a few hours out on the bicycle, even though it was old and rusty. The food menu is good, lots of seafood options but other options too, from western to local. The food is high quality, although the ribs maybe had too much overpowering layers of flavours. The restaurant is a very chill vibe, high quality furniture and decoration but with reasonable prices. Loads of drink options, from cocktails to beer, a huge selection of wines etc. Very impressive bar. No toothbrush/toothpaste but good quality gels, shampoo, lotion provided. If you don't pay extra for breakfast, complimentary toast with some homemade jams and a coffee are still provided. The resort organised motorbike rental (its always best to go through the resort/hotel in Thailand). 450 a day which is probably the most I've paid, however I thoroughly enjoyed a couple of days touring the local area, travelling south to Sao Din Na Noi and in the north, Doi Phu Kha National Park. Incredible trip, stunning scenery. Highly recommended. The owners are always there if you need them, either to have a chat or answer questions. Staff were very friendly with good English. Someone said in a review that the rooms were old with dim lights - this is completely untrue. The rooms are beautifully decorated in traditional Thai style but at the same time feel new. The balcony of some rooms have stunning rice field and mountain views but if you don't have that, walk a few metres to the fields with lots of seating to enjoy the views. The gardens around the rooms are well taken care of. Trips can be booked through the hotel. Bottled water provided in room (complimentary) with a well-stocked mini bar if you want extra drinks or snacks (charged but no price list seemed to be there). Cons There is no safe for passport, cash etc in room No kettle in room even though coffee, sugar was there 😅 but if you pay to upgrade or booked the mountain view room, there will be a coffee machine There is no mosquito repellant by pool, in the restaurant or in rooms - possibly because they are usually burning or flammable liquid which wouldn't go well with a resort made entirely of wood! Some electric options maybe? Can hear motorbikes/cars occasionally on the nearby road and almost a constant sound carried across the rice fields from the distant main road. However, this is Thailand and i'm not sure this can be avoided, anywhere. As with most hotels, the light switch situation is unnecessarily overcomplicated. The restaurant charges for ice buckets and bottled water is almost poured without specifically asking, and is charged.

Beautiful scenery… a very quiet and peaceful place. If you want to be away from anything and everything for a while. This is the place. I recommend this hotel to those who want to have a perfect time of their own. I stayed there for 3 nights alone. I felt kind of isolated but had a healing time. Room was clean and has a beautiful balcony. Staffs are friendly and service was great. Location is away from the main city and grab service is not easily accessible. But I had a great time for myself here.

To be honest, I am really disappointed after reading the comments and photos. In addition to the good service, the hotel rooms are old, the lights are dim, there are many mosquitoes, and the experience is not good. Will not recommend to friends.

Arrived with some delay but what a very friendly welcome I had! And I felt that kindness throughout my stay. Hospitality of the highest level, not only by the owners, but also by the staff. During the construction of the resort, everything was well thought out: beautiful materials (teak everywhere) and well designed. Room/bungalow was perfect. What a beautiful place to stay. I felt very welcome there.

Skin burned by the pool After seeing good reviews on this hotel I decided to stay at Nan Saison Boutique Resort When we arrived we were well received They showed us the bungalow very quickly, especially since I was expecting a slightly more pleasant view. The rice fields aren't not nice it's not the season I think. Finally we decide to go eat there. Nothing special. Fairly average apart from the price which is high. We offer you lots of bottles of wine that are not even stored in a cellar, especially in Thailand with the heat. Eat in Nan there are very good restaurants except that if you have you own transport the resort is isolated. We spent the first night in this 2 bedroom wooden bungalow. I was a little surprised that there is no partition at the top of the walls, so we hear everything that happens in the living room and the other bedroom!! the next day, my 2 children decided to go swimming in the pool, and that's where the problems started after playing for an hour, they both had burns on their bodies! Due to the high level of the chemical product surely Chlorine I know what I'm talking about, I take care of swimming pools in Thailand, They could have warned us at least especially that the next day, when I reported it to the receptionist, he told me clearly and confirmed said that they had treated the pool the day before with a chlorine and that it was normal and that it would dissipate!! And finally on the day of my departure, when we woke up, we wanted to take a shower and surprise no water flowing from the tap. We heard because I know Thailand. And that can happen, but hey we should leave and I called reception who told me they didn't know when the power was going to come back. It’s still unfortunate in a hotel where I spent more than 500 euro for two nights that they don’t have a backup generator. In fact after 2 hours of waiting we left without washing!! I'm not used to complaining, because I also work in tourism in Thailand. But here I had to point it out when checking out. I asked the receptionist if he could make a commercial gesture, He didn't want to know anything, he told me it wasn't possible even to call the owner. Mr roger Because I had seen him the day before at his counter and he perhaps could have given me an answer on the burns of my children in the swimming pool and the water cut off in the morning, I sent an e-mail to the hotel on the day of my departure, telling Mr. Roger to call me back, for four days, no news That's why I'm reporting it because my 8 year old daughter still has symptoms today and so that it doesn't happen again. Other than that, we had a great stay while we were away Good luck

The perfect ‘get away’ from the city. The entire team at Nan Seasons Boutique resort were extremely hospitable and friendly. All services match the style of the resort which provides the best accommodations in Nan area. We enjoyed all the food ordered. Keep up the great experience.

Without doubt this is absolutely the best place to stay in Nan if you’re looking for high end accommodation. Beautiful bungalow can be yours overlooking the rice fields. Very good food in the restaurant. Staff that knows how to treat the guests. Here they write HOSPITALITY in capital letters.

We were looking forward to our Nan stay as we had planned white water rafting and a cooking class with elephants through the hotel. On arrival, due to monsoon rain, which could not be helped, we were informed that our excursions were cancelled. This left a bitter taste as we were in contact with the hotel days before and they did not mention any of this. We then we’re encouraged to book another private city tour which included salt mines. I asked about this and one staff member said salt mines might not be possible due to rain, so I replied asking if they are sure? The staff member then asked another staff member and said actually it is fine and booked the tour for us. We then found out only during the tour that this was not the case and we could not visit the salt mines. The tour was pretty good besides that however, considering the amount of rain there was, and the tour guide was very kind and hospitable. This ended up being an expensive leg of the trip though, with an upgraded room that was communicated to us as being an extra 700 baht only, however it ended up being an extra 700 baht per night which I only found out when checking the costs during checkout. To avoid unnecessary hassle I didn’t say anything and just paid it. At this point we just wanted to move on to the next leg of our trip. The room was quite nice, however there are some small things worth mentioning. Firstly, there was no hot water in the shower. I did mention this once to staff but nothing was really done about it. Secondly, the mosquito net over the bed had dead mosquitos in it and wasn’t really cleaned properly as part of the daily cleaning of rooms. Other hotels we have stayed in have mosquito repellent incense sticks which smell nice and have worked well, something that could be done for the rooms here I think. Upon leaving Nan, our plans changed and we needed to get a taxi from Nan to Chiang Rai. I spoke with the Dutch owner Roger about this and he helpfully booked us transportation and assured us that because he gives a lot of business to this taxi company, that he got a reduced price for us down from ~5500 baht to only 4300 baht. This all seemed great however the taxi actually ended up being the husband of our tour guide driving us in their car, and it was all paid during hotel checkout. All in all Nan was an interesting place to visit and staff were nice but at times tended to feel a bit overbearing. As we were the only guests there it feels like they tried to do everything they could in the nicest way possible to get more money from us and have it all done through their resort, which was not cheap at all. Even when we wanted just to go to explore Nan city on our own and asked for a restaurant recommendation, we were politely asked why we don’t just eat at the resort restaurant (although did eventually get recommended a good restaurant in the city). I feel this is a small business with nice enough staff but needs some improvements as we left us feeling rathe

A hidden gem in the North of Thailand, beautiful resort in a dito setting, just top! Clean, spacious, eye for detail rooms. Also the Dutch hosts/owners are born for the hospitality industry, they have what it takes to be one of the leading resorts in Nan province. I ll be back for sure!
