Hotel Castlepollard

Myself and my wife stayed in the castle varagh hotel for three nights over the weekend and it was fantastic.There is absolutely nothing I could fault the hotel with the hotel it's self is lovely well decorated modern style hotel.Bedrooms are all spotless and well maintained by housekeeping.All the staff at the hotel and I mean all are an absolute credit to the castle varagh nothing is too much trouble for them and everything is done with a smile on there face but in my opinion there was two members of staff that standout and that was Catherine and Wayne the general manager and her assistant they have to be the most pleasant and hard working managers I've seen in any hotel being doing reception pulling pints and serving food clearing tables nothing is too much trouble.To finish if your about in the area or looking somewhere for a lovely quiet break away I would thoroughly recommend the castle varagh

Not great service. Advertised breakfast till 12. Went in at 11.20 to be told breakfast is done and only soup. Why advertise incorrectly? Few people also behind me looking for breakfast to be refused. Must be making enough money to be able to turn away customers

The rooms are finished to highest standard very clean ,cleaned daily. The hotel has top chef that gives good portion sizes and good selection to suit all tastes. The bar and public areas modern like rooms. Staff great service and friendly and experienced. Good mix of ages give homely modern feel. Well positioned to go to lakes, Castle Tullynally Castle beautiful gardens and inside your. Great walks and short drive to good shopping and Dublin. Enjoy just like l did with my husband.

We stayed at the Castle Varagh Hotel while attending a reunion. The hotel has recently been renovated and was extremely clean. The staff including those in the restaurant were attentive and very friendly. The hotel itself was surprisingly large with plenty of meeting rooms and gated parking in the rear. We would recommend this hotel and we will book it again.

The rooms are very spacious, modern and exceptionally clean, staff very helpful a large car park to the rear that is secure, a good selection of food and breakfast was delicious, located in a lovely village surrounding with all the necessary conveniences and central to a good range of sightseeing for castles, Abbey's and lakeside picnic areas. Overall a fabulous hotel and area would definiately return and recommend to others

Went to the bar here with family on Tuesday night after a long day tending to a family member in hospital. I have to say the staff really make this place! it's changed a lot interior wise since i was young living in Castlepollard and it was called the Pollard Arms. There was a man behind the bar, didn't catch his name but super friendly, kind and really couldn't do enough for us. If you are in the area this place gets my vote and will be back next year, great job guys!

Went for something to eat in this hotel today Only had starter one alcoholic drink and shared a dessert. The bill.came to 44 eur which we thought was expensive. One rock shandy 6 eur one glass of wine 7 eur chicken wings starter portion 9 eur. We wont be dining there again. Far too expensive.

Stayed for 4 nights for work reasons. The hotel is very up to date and modern and comfortable to stay in. Nice bar with lovely pints and lounge facilities. Dinner was reasonably priced and delicious. Breakfast was tasty also. The hotel rooms were very clean. All staff were excellent and friendly Would recommend. Mark.

We are visiting Ireland from Spain and stopped off for some food at Castle Varagh Hotel in the picturesque town of Castlepollard. This is a really beautiful hotel. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. The staff are very polite and welcome especially Glen the young man that served us. We wish we could stay longer here.
