Hotels in Hauptbahnhof, Munich

The lady who always on the AM shift at the counter is very mean. The guy on the PM shift is much happier and better, like what I would expect from a good customer service. The cleaning lady wore her normal shoes to clean inside the hotel, so not very clean on the floor. The lights to my bathroom was spoiled but she only noticed it at the end of my stay... The location was very good, munich main station right behind the hotel. For Flixbus Station, its a 18mins walk away.

We arrived at the hotel in the afternoon, and the receptionist provided clear and helpful information during check-in. The entire check-in and check-out process was smooth. We booked a room for three adults, and the sofa bed had already been prepared before our arrival. Room is spacious and we can easily open our 28inch luggage on the floor. All the coffee and drinks on the table were complimentary, but the minibar was not, as explained by the staff during check-in. The shower area can become a little slippery after use, so avoid wearing the bedroom slippers into the bathroom, as you could potentially slip on the wet floor. The water pressure for shower head was strong, and the water temperature remained stable throughout our stay. The cleanliness of bath towel could also be improved. The only feedback I have is regarding the noise from the main street. Our room was located on the 6th floor and faced the tram line. We could clearly hear people talking downstairs, as well as the noise whenever a tram passed by. If you’re a light sleeper, this is something to keep in mind. The hotel’s location is very convenient. There are plenty of restaurants on the same street, and it’s only about a 150-metre walk to the S-Bahn/U-Bahn station. You can also access Munich Central Station through the underpass. While the location is excellent, the street can be quite busy, with many people gathering in the area. For security, the hotel requires a key card to enter the building after 10:00 p.m. and before 8:00 a.m. You’ll also need your room key to access the lifts.

The hotel is rated as a 3-Star hotel and prices accordingly, though it leans closer to a 2-Star standard. The primary advantage of the hotel is its location, which is situated within a walking distance from the Central Train Station of Munich (Hauptbahnhof). Yet, the amenities of the hotel are not on par with the convenient location. The room was very small, to the degree that there was not enough space for the hotel to include a bathroom inside of the room. Instead, a toilet was installed near the entrance door to the room along with a sink and a hairdryer, and a shower unit was positioned in the middle of the room next to the bed. This was the first time that I came across such a configuration. Another less usual feature was the choice of curtain to cover up the window: The window of the room was covered by a nylon shower curtain rather than standard drapes. Even though this nylon shower curtain was successfully able to be used to block out the lights from the outside during the night, it was placed in an improvised way that made it hard to open it up or close it down. The building itself is rather old, and while the equipment appears to be maintained, it shows signs of age and may require renovation. These characteristics would have been more acceptable if the hotel clearly marketed itself as a 2-Star hotel or a budget option, but the 3-Star rating and associated price point seem unjustified given the room conditions and the availability of other hotels in the area with better amenities and cheaper prices.

The hotel has a great location, not far from the main train station, making it very accessible by public transport. The staff was friendly. The room was small but clean, with a very comfortable bed. Unfortunately, there were no free power outlets at the desk or nightstand, as they were occupied by the kettle, espresso machine, and tablet. The bathroom was very small, and the elevator was very slow. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Knew it was small, but think small and subtract 10 square meters. Hong Kong small. Stupid small. Can’t fathom more than one person in this room as you can’t even get out of your own way. Coffee maker was cool. Ditto the pretzels in the morning but when they put the hardened and inedible day-olds out later it comes off more as an insult. 3pm check in is also something you’ll likely need to account for. Staff guy seemed personally offended that I showed up any earlier than I did, but the lady later on was friendly enough. Location is convenient to Marienplatz. All in all, not bad. But if I find myself traveling through Munich again I’ll no doubt be looking elsewhere.

My room was clean and bright with a big bathroom. Nice view facing the train station :) staff were all welcoming and helpful! I stayed close to Xmas and they gave me a bar of chocolate as gift! So sweet, I’m grateful! Location is great, 1 min walk from Hauptbahnhof station and 5-15 min walk from all old town spots! Great value. Highly recommend.

因為住過薩爾斯堡的cocoon 所以來到慕尼黑依舊選擇入住 有好有壞，比起薩爾斯堡房間較大 馬桶與淋浴是分開來的還獨立兩間 這點我是蠻喜歡的但玻璃設計會小尷尬 而以整體細緻度來說是薩爾斯堡的較佳 像公共空間來說薩爾斯堡全面開著冷氣 而且是有營業的餐飲 櫃檯有免費蘋果拿、 玻璃瓶裝水與氣泡水 這裡就什麼都要錢～ 行李寄放區是有另外做櫃體上鎖的 這邊的行李寄放區就較為陽春一點 而且慕尼黑這區域感覺比較多怪人 外出自己多注意安全～ 其他也沒什麼好嫌，比上不足比下有餘

This hotel boasts excellent transport links, being super close to HBF Central Station and right next to DM. I booked a day tour and found that many tour buses depart from a hotel just over 100 meters away, making it very convenient for catching those day trip coaches. The hotel lobby offers complimentary fruit daily; I grabbed an apple every day, along with some candies. The rooms don't have bathtubs, and the beds are quite small, with two beds basically pushed together. The mattress firmness was just right, and the pillow height suited me well. There's a Nespresso capsule coffee machine with 8 capsules, replenished daily, and six tea bags, which is nice – I particularly enjoyed the ginger tea. The environment is clean and hygienic, and they provide shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and body lotion. This was a pleasant surprise, especially after staying in Nuremberg later and finding no facial tissues there! The sound insulation of the windows is decent; while it gets quite noisy when open due to the electric trains right by the station, the train sounds at night didn't bother me or affect my sleep. I must say, the breakfast is excellent, with a fantastic variety and delicious options. However, when I arrived at the hotel around 8 AM, the front desk informed me that early check-in, usually after 3 or 4 PM in European hotels, would cost dozens of euros. I figured the price was acceptable, so I checked in early. But then, at my next hotel in Nuremberg, I arrived at 12 PM and was allowed to check in without any extra charge when I asked if early check-in was possible. So, it's not really comparable! The hotel offers free Wi-Fi with good speed. They also provide a complimentary bottle of mineral water daily, which is a great perk as water in Europe can be quite expensive, around 20 RMB per bottle.

I already became a regular guest at this hotel. The hotel is positioned very close to the central train station (Hauptbahnhof), which made it easy for me to reach the hotel straight off the train. Check in was straightforward, and I very like the reception staff, who are always very kind and welcoming. The rooms are contemporary and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, with good water pressure, and the bed was comfortable. Regular housekeeping was provided as expected. A substantially good stay for a great price.

Condor Hotel is a very convenient property that I tend to visit often during my stays in Munich. Even though it is situated as a 3-Stars hotel, I find it to actually tend more toward a 4-Stars standard. The hotel is located in a very convenient proximity to the Munich central train station (Hauptbahnhof), making it easily accessible for me upon my arrival to the city. The check-in process is always smooth and efficient, as it was this time as well. The team is always nice and helpful. The rooms are a highlight, and even though they are not large - the rooms do combine modern design trends with a classic touch. They are immaculately maintained, featuring spotless bathrooms with powerful showers and beds that ensure a comfortable night's sleep. Daily housekeeping keeps everything pristine, and the overall service is attentive. Considering the prime location and high quality of the facilities, the Condor Hotel provides exceptional value for money. It is a highly recommended choice for anyone seeking a comfortable and convenient stay in Munich.
