Hotels in Hauptbahnhof, Munich

The hotel is a convenient 8-10 minute walk from the train station. The area around the hotel is predominantly populated by residents and businesses that do not speak German. While there are several supermarkets nearby, none of the small shops sell water. The only option is a 1.5-liter bottle of 'mineral water' for a steep 2.50 Euros. Munich has very hard water, so much so that boiling a pot of water leaves a noticeable amount of limescale. The hotel does not offer luggage storage services. The double bed, measuring 1.3 meters, was fitted with two 1.5-meter mattresses, which easily slipped off. I wonder who came up with this makeshift arrangement? On the upside, the price was very reasonable.

The hotel is right next to the train station, making it very convenient for getting around. The room was a bit small, but it had everything I needed – small but perfectly formed! The cleanliness was excellent. It's one of the very few overseas hotels where you can actually redeem points. Overall, pretty good value for money.

We like the welcome drinks and good atmosphere for youth. There is lift to every floor including street level to ground floor. The 4You Hostel is behind us towards the right. There is bicycle rental nearby which we may use if it was not snowing. Usual hostel with shared bathroom. We had good warm shower.

You have to use quite a bit of force to lock the door, and the hair dryer had burned out with no replacement available. The location is very convenient, though it can be a bit noisy at night.

The location of the hotel is about 5 to 7 minutes walk from the central station. The hotel is a bit small and the room that I stayed is a standard size. The area nearby has many cafes and restaurants. The staff at the front desk are very helpful and nice as they tried their best to offer assistance.

This is a pleasant and spacious hotel. Although there's no refrigerator, we've found that's often the case in other European hotels we've stayed at. There's no parking lot, and the road for loading and unloading luggage is narrow and complicated, which can be a bit challenging, but it's something we can overlook.

This is a belated praise. We had a wonderful time here.Thank you so much Bernhaul at the reception (I hope I type your name in a correct way) for your friendly attitude and service. Luggage is stored free of charge for customers, whether you have checked out or not yet. If you want to check in early, you can email the reception to confirm, which is what I did, thanks a lot to Sarah at the front desk, she quickly responded to my email. The room is clean and it's close to the train station and the prices are reasonable. All in all, I don't think there is a better place than here to stay in Munich.

The hotel itself is actually good, but the check-in process was a complete disaster. I didn't receive an email with the access code, so I was stuck outside unable to get in. Every time I called the hotel information number provided, they either hung up immediately or I got a message saying: ”Your call cannot be taken at this moment.” After about an hour, I finally managed to reach someone who gave me the code so I could check in. It was incredibly frustrating, especially after traveling all day.

We arrived at the hotel in the afternoon, and the receptionist provided clear and helpful information during check-in. The entire check-in and check-out process was smooth. We booked a room for three adults, and the sofa bed had already been prepared before our arrival. Room is spacious and we can easily open our 28inch luggage on the floor. All the coffee and drinks on the table were complimentary, but the minibar was not, as explained by the staff during check-in. The shower area can become a little slippery after use, so avoid wearing the bedroom slippers into the bathroom, as you could potentially slip on the wet floor. The water pressure for shower head was strong, and the water temperature remained stable throughout our stay. The cleanliness of bath towel could also be improved. The only feedback I have is regarding the noise from the main street. Our room was located on the 6th floor and faced the tram line. We could clearly hear people talking downstairs, as well as the noise whenever a tram passed by. If you’re a light sleeper, this is something to keep in mind. The hotel’s location is very convenient. There are plenty of restaurants on the same street, and it’s only about a 150-metre walk to the S-Bahn/U-Bahn station. You can also access Munich Central Station through the underpass. While the location is excellent, the street can be quite busy, with many people gathering in the area. For security, the hotel requires a key card to enter the building after 10:00 p.m. and before 8:00 a.m. You’ll also need your room key to access the lifts.

The location was excellent and the staff were very helpful. The only downside was the hotel amenities are old and could not cope with the heat wave hitting Europe during our stay. The 1st room assigned to us, it's Aircon couldn't work. But hotel was able to immediate change us to another room. On last day of our stay, that room's aircon also broke down. The hotel brought in a fan to help us deal with the heat.
