We had a fabulous time visiting this I believe newly opened hotel! As the lounge is only opening later this month we have received alternative offerings in the bar which were delicious. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Looking forward to come back once the lounge has opened!

I'm really conflicted about this hotel, in some ways it's a great hotel and in others not so much. I'll start with check in, I booked a ”Queen bed” which to me means bigger than double especially as there is an option for just a double. so had to pay to upgrade to a ”executive room” which had the bigger bed, so another €60 on to our bill, but was discounted from €90. room was big, bed was very big and very comfortable. had to ask for a kettle (had a coffee machine but no kettle) had a minibar so a fridge which the first room didn't have even tho website says a minibar. all rooms have balconies but no furniture out there so I had to ask for chairs, also dont think the balconies have been cleaned in a while, i left foot prints in the dust. bathroom was old and needs refurbishment, shower pressure is rubbish, water drains very slowly and bath has all gone rusty. our first room was right next to the second room and overlooked some car park but then right next to it is a factory and then behind that some excavation work is taking place, the 1st night all was quiet as it was Easter but the second night from 3.30am lorries with there reversing noises where going on and that night the factory noise went on till almost 10pm. this is not the hotels fault- but if booking a room I would ask for a different location for room. breakfast was beautiful, everything u would want, all presented lovely and u could have omlette made to order. we used the resturant the 1st night, the food was very nice but very expensive- but we later found out this is how Germany is. Husband used the gym- mini gym as they call it and it is mini but it kept him happy for an hour. pool is a added bonus but pictures make it look bigger than it is, Sadly it was far too cold for me to get in and the steam/sauna are only turned on at certain times and we missed the time slot but they both looked good sizes. all the staff we came across, from reception, to restaurant and breakfast staff and especially the cleaners were lovely, very polite and helpful if u have any questions or requests. we would stay here again if it was the original price for the larger bed and if we had a different room location.

Stayed here with my family (2 sons, 11 and 13.) The hotel was very kid friendly- my kids were greeted and they had a play area (with a video game) and a few games for the room. The location was great- about a 5 min walk to the Deutsches Museum and about 15 walk to Marienplatz, but seemed to be off the beaten tourist path. The area felt very safe, and there was a small mall next door that had 2 grocery stores in it (great for simple meals!). It also had a subway stop (Rosenheimer Platz), where all the main lines stopped. The room itself was great. My kids enjoyed the free minibar (but I was told this was being discontinued.) The pool was nice- the kids loved it! It is smaller than it looks in the pictures and was too cold for me. The bathroom was nice- the toilet is separate from the shower/sink/tub area. The sink area had the best lighting of any hotel bathroom I've ever stayed in. Plenty of hot water, and my kids were amused that there was a TV speaker in the shower area. If we return to Munich, we would definitely stay here again!

GGuest User 2023.01.31
This hotel is located a few train stops away (Station: Harras) from the central train station, so it was not difficult to get to it. The infrastructure of the city is such that getting around is relatively easy. One just has to follow the directions on a map, whether physical or online, and you are good to go. The check-in process was smooth. I realise getting up and walking to where my room is, that the hotel is quite large, so if you are not up to walking a lot; ask for a room close to the elevator. The room is large and well maintained. I appreciate the bottle of water on top of the minibar fridge for guests. There is a breakfast place just a short walk away if having breakfast at the hotel is not something you would like. Not a minor issue, but it does say in the directory of services that laundry items sent in before 8.30am would be returned by 7pm the same day. However, mine was not and luckily, I was not departing the hotel the next day. It was attributed to a manpower shortage, says the front desk team member; and I know it to be a prevalent issue worldwide. The internet connection in the room is also very slow, especially in the evenings, in my opinion. If you decide to forgo the servicing of your room, hang a “go green” pouch on the doorknob and you will receive a surprise gift. Aside from the bakery around the corner, there are a few eateries close by. Despite the shortcomings, it was an enjoyable, fuss-free stay.

A city like Munich cannot be pinned down. Its charm lies in the non tangible: in the relaxed kind-heartedness of its people, in their palpable cosmopolitan attitude towards others and their own traditions as much as in the new thinking that is welcome to blossom here. Munich promises a lifestyle of ease, sophistication and devotion. This atmosphere, this attitude, flows through this new hotel. Where once stood a private mansion - in front of the city, free and close to nature - now stands a residence in the middle of it all: outside, there is the bustle of the Stachus square; inside, an atmosphere of sophisticated ease awaits. Here you meet those who keep on seeking, who are not satisfied with the status quo, who want to deeper understand and transform things for the better. The Koenigshof Munich hosts the soul of Munich.

Overall everything you could hope for in a luxury hotel, especially during peak Oktoberfest weeks. New hotel with gorgeous finishes, ideal location within walking distance to Oktoberfest and immediately next to the train station. The staff was beyond attentive, particularly Fabian who guided our group to the Oktoberfest table at Augustiner-Keller and was an excellent host. Several other concierge staff members were also wonderful at booking and rebooking airport transfers when our flight moved up to a 5am departure. The 9th and 3rd floor bars have wonderful views and are very relaxing with excellent service as well. We’ve stayed at Sofitel for previous Oktoberfest and preferred the smaller scale and service here. Only small downside is the rooms can be quite dark and one bedside plug was taken by the phone so you had to unplug to charge.

My husband and I stayed at the Munch Marriott while on vacation for a few days. The staff was helpful and professional. The lobby is going through a much needed update (during May 2023) - I would love to see it after the update - I think it will look amazing!. Our room, while clean and sizable, definitely needed an update. I am hoping that after the lobby update they continue the process to the rooms. The hotel is convenient to the U-Bahn. My husband and I were able to easily navigate from the hotel to ALL of the stops we wanted to make in the city.. The hotel staff was even able to get us our tickets on the U-Bahn, which saved us a stop before boarding. I look forward to staying here again after the updates to the hotel!

GGuest UserWe had an absolutely wonderful time at Sofitel Munich. The room we were staying at 425 had a nice spacious room with many amenities. All the staff were very friendly especially Manager Mr. Umut was very accommodating and very helpful. He was always greeting us with a smile and took care of all our needs and requests. The bar was also very luxurious with many nice cocktails. We will miss Sofitel and will definitely come back next year!

GGuest UserGreat customer service, very comfortable room excellent location. I stayed there for 5 nights. The subway is at 5 minutes walk and main central station (Hautbanhauf) is -2 minutes walk. But the city centre is just 20 minutes walk as well. I was able to walk everywhere without any issues. The best part was that Oktoberfest location is also just 5 minute walk!!

GGuest UserWhile the hotel stay was comfortable and the rooms a nice and clean we found the front desk staff rude and unhelpful. From the start they have shown no courtesy, I called up the hotel from the station to inquire about the location and landmark and found the person speaking to me couldnt care less about giving directions. Then when we arrived there, there was no one at the front desk. Since there are two Holiday Inns adjacent to each other we were confused as to which one is ours and kept the cab waiting to check. Finally we had to let the cab go as not one was there to answer our query. After a long wait the lady manning the front desk finally emerged from the cabin and was very rude with us. She couldnt find our reservation, we had to panic call the booking.com customer service and incurred a huge mobile bill for the international call only so that we could confirm our booking. She insisted we had not paid for our rooms and we had to argue and show proof of payment. Any query we had about the hotel amenities or sightseeing were unhelpfully answered. The person who looks after the snacks corner was the only congenial and courteous person. The hotel is within walking distance of a train station and the bus stop is right outside the drive way, There are some good restaurants about 5- 7 minutes walk from the hotel. Lidl is a stones throw away so are a few other grocery stores. Once you get the hang of the place its pretty convenient. The only reason why the rating is average is because the hotel is good and the rooms were comfortable and neat. Otherwise only based on their customer service it would be poor.

We thought this place was great. Its between two subway stops south of the old town, so a 5-8 minute walk depending on which one you choose. Both of these stops are just a few stops from the main train station. There was construction going on at the hotel while we were there, but we were informed of this in advance. As the Euro cup was going on at the time we had little choice for a reasonably priced room (meaning less than 275 euros/night), so we chose this one (for 224 euros for three people). The construction activity did not begin until after 9 am, so it was no issue, other than navigating scaffolding in front of the building, and there being workers right outside our window. Not problems for us. The room itself was great. It was one of the few of the ten we stayed at on this trip that had A/C or that had A/C that actually worked. Very cool during the hot weather we had during our stay. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. One thing that some people may not like is that the shower is separated from the room by a glass wall and a curtain. There is nothing hiding the front entry to the shower but it faces a wall and not the room. Bit of a privacy issue there, especially if traveling with teens. The toilet is in a separate tiny space with its own door (which slams shut loudly). This was nice in that someone could use the toilet while others used the shower or sink. They had very nice toiletries. Towels and bed linens were clean and fresh smelling. We found the beds extremely comfortable. Another reviewer mentioned the motion activated lighting under the bed. We've not seen this in any other hotel anywhere. It sounds nice but we found it quite bright, and took several minutes to turn off once activated, so it disturbed other sleepers in the room. We ended up stuffing pillows over them. But many travelers may find it a welcome feature. Breakfast was offered for about 19 euro/person but we chose not to get it. Found it strange that when my wife asked for a glass of orange juice in the morning she was told that was only available as part of the breakfast. The breakfast is held in their beautiful lobby/bar/restaurant/garden area. Really modern space. Some evenings the place is jumping with millenials having a blast. One thing to note, on Tuesdays they have a drink special and it seems like a quarter of the neighborhood is there for it. We weren't aware of this and couldn't understand why it took us over 45 minutes to get a drink and quite a while to get a food order put in. That said, the pizza (pinsa) was delicious if a tad pricey. We had many pizzas on this trip (my family does not like German food- so we went to Germany???) and this was one of the better ones for sure. Like I said, did take a while to order it and get it. Salads were definitely overpriced and unlike every other one we had on the trip it was quite puny. But the wait staff tried to smile through it all and did their best. In fact we found the

GGuest UserI booked this hostel last minute, and I've never stayed in a hostel before, so I can't really compare it to other places. Despite reading reviews on Hostelworld about the single rooms being hot, I have no complaints about the room. I stayed in Munich when the temperature had a low of 20 Celcius and a high of 30. I had no issues with the room. I did have a large fan on in the room, which kept it cool. My room also had its own balcony and I sat outside to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. Perfect for those who love their own space or couple. My only gripe was that the WiFi was slow at times, so I couldn't even search the website to test internet speed. I had a data roaming plan, so this wasn't that big of an issue. I would stay here again if I'm back in Munich. A Lidl at the end of the street and the Train station is a 2-minute walk away. It couldn't get better.

GGuest UserWe stayed at the Adina for 4 nights in a studio with a sofa bed. We loved having the washer/dryer and oven/microwave in the room. We were able to keep up with our laundry which really helped on our trip. We were able to walk to get groceries, although there isn't a store real close. With the sofa bed out the room is a bit tight, but it was nice to have the table and booth seating. We had a Frauenkirche view room on the 22nd floor and the views of the city and sunsets were amazing. We stayed Monday through Friday, and the first three nights were great. Thursday night the music at the bars below us in Werksviertel Mitte was really loud and lasted until 2am, so we didn't get much sleep. Even though we were near the Ost train station, we felt a bit isolated. In retrospect we wished we would have chosen a hotel closer to the Altstadt.

AAnonymous UserI am not familiar with Munich. So I made book in a wrong hotel. I thought this hotel is located next to Alstad. In fact it's located in Munich neighborhood called Scwabing. My Mom has Osteoarthritis knee pain. So she can't walk too far. The hotel refused to cancel for free since we booked non modified reservation. This hotel is okay. But not for old people there is no kettle, no refrigerator, no tea, coffee, no shower cap. Hotel also didn't prepare shampoo for us. Design is okay but too simple. Location is not at Alstad and it's too expensive overprice for hotel located on Scwabing

白色的玉石Hear me out: this hotel has THE BEST - meaning most professional - service I have ever encountered in any hotel - and I say it from my experience from staying at 4-5 stars hotels as a general rule. Regarding service: - ALWAYS replying to every email (unfortunately letters sometimes land in a spam folder, a little flaw) - 24/7 there’s always someone at the reception ready to assist (mind it’s not a branded hotel, but a family-owned business), making sure that there aren’t any unsolved problems or unsatisfied needs - all website-provided informations are up to date - there’s a shuttle bus from a train station for guests (till 5pm) - staff is perfectly trained and experienced. There’s never any personal attitude, just a smile and clear communication. Of course speaking well English. - Bonus: I arrived quite before check-in hours and checked out a bit late too; didn’t have to say a word and no word was said (or called). Even got an advise how to efficiently manage my luggage for my next trip. Location: a bit far from train & metro stations. Amenities: a very big swimming pool! And a sauna, and a gym. Downside is that those amenities are in a neighbouring building, so if you’re still wearing your swimming suit, you need to walk on a pedestrian path for two minutes like this. It feels weird. But there are lockets, showers and fresh towels too, if you prefer to change your clothes first. Concluding: best combination of price, location, fun, and quality.

Very Good
BBuchijiunanguoThe hotel is newly renovated, but the decoration smell is very strong. When I woke up in the morning, the formaldehyde smell made me uncomfortable. When staying in the hotel for more than three nights, the room will only be cleaned once, and only towels will be changed every day. The hotel service is unsatisfactory. They only smile and apologize to you without any real help. When I woke up, I had allergic rashes on my hands and back. I asked someone to change the quilt, but the front desk staff replied: ”Ah, it's really strange. This has never happened before.” I don't know what to say. . . For a newly opened hotel, it is not normal for this to happen, and no hotel dares to say that its beds can be made so that no guests have ever reported allergies. The hotel said it would cost an extra 50 euros to change the bed sheets and duvet covers. I said you should go and solve the problem. Finally, after thinking for a long time, the solution was to change the bed sheets for me😅😅😅😅If a customer has allergies in your hotel, just asking for a change of bed sheets is already basic. Even though I asked, I didn't ask for a room change or upgrade. That's it, I still made things difficult in every possible way. At 8:30 in the morning, frying bacon in the hotel kitchen activated the fire alarm. It was so cold that everyone stood outside the hotel and felt the cold wind for more than ten minutes without even having time to put on their clothes. During the whole process, no management staff came out to apologize or compensate. There was only one front desk staff standing there to apologize. . It's okay that I didn't encounter any problems when I stayed in this hotel. But when I did, it was really unpleasant and affected my travel mood. Please be cautious when checking in. I still read the recommendation from Xiaohongshu. Spend 1,000 a night and get an extra fire alarm training
