Wombat’s The City Hostel Munich Werksviertel

Staying here during Oktoberfest, the hostel was decorated with a great atmosphere. The room had an en-suite bathroom, a very large and clean bed. There are lockers with combination locks, and also secure lockers for luggage, which is very safe. The facilities are excellent, with washing machines and dryers, a kitchen, a workspace, and a cafe. If every city had a Wombat's Hostel, this would be my first choice.

Service: The front desk staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English, making communication a breeze. Facilities: The building has two elevators, which was really convenient for carrying luggage. The soundproofing on the room windows was great; even with lots of people watching the World Cup outside, it was quiet once the windows were closed. Environment: It's located in a large park-like area, which seems to be a business park with many young professionals. There are plenty of snack stalls and fast-food options, making it very convenient. It's easy to find from the East Railway Station; just take the overhead bridge and follow your navigation. Hygiene: Overall, it was very clean. The only minor issue was that the en-suite bathroom tended to accumulate a bit of water, and there was a raised step, but it wasn't a big deal. The cleaning staff were very diligent and cleaned the room thoroughly every day.

I really liked this place; it's a huge hostel, I think around seven floors, though I can't quite recall the exact number. They have laundry facilities, a shared kitchen, and a common area where singers occasionally perform, which I found really charming and thoughtful! Each room has four people and shares a bathroom. I even got to meet one of the singers who performed there, which was hilarious!
