Hotels in The Ming Palace and Nanjing Museum Area, Nanjing

Zhongshan Hotel & Jiangsu Conference Center is an established government-run hotel with an excellent location. It's within walking distance of both the Presidential Palace and Nanjing Museum. The hotel grounds also house historical attractions like the Lishizhe (勵志社) building, which guests can visit. Additionally, it's a convenient 15-minute walk to the metro station, making it easy to travel to various attractions across Nanjing. The in-room facilities are a bit dated, showing clear signs of age, but they are perfectly functional. Service was decent, with staff attentive to guests' needs and making an effort to accommodate them. The room was well-equipped with fire safety amenities, including a smoke mask and an emergency flashlight. I was particularly impressed with the room's cleanliness. When I wiped down the desk with a tissue, there was no noticeable dust or grime, indicating that the cleaning staff takes their work seriously. The hotel breakfast is a buffet, quite simple but sufficient. The soundproofing in the room was a bit poor. At night, I kept hearing a 'thump' sound, seemingly from the floor above – I couldn't tell if it was someone closing a door loudly or dropping something heavy. These sudden 'thuds' would often startle me awake, and I was always left wondering what the noise was. Overall, I was satisfied and had a comfortable stay! Recommended!

The service provided by Xiao Liu at the front desk was very good. He gave me handmade cookies, which was completely amazing. The overall environment is very nice, and there are gifts. Wow, it's really thoughtful and very interesting. It's very suitable for experiencing it with your partner. It unlocks new stores. I will come back next time when I have time. Great value for a 5-star hotel! Rooms are spacious and decor is nice, the included buffet breakfast offers a lot of variety and is tasty. The hotel is located right behind the Nanjing Museum, is “close” to the Ming Tombs, and is close to the Ming Koo Kung subway station which provides easy access to many sights in Nanjing. There is even a street food bazaar right next door! The only downside of this hotel is that it does not offer a free laundry room.

Hotel spot clean and service good. Only set back as follow 1. Booking through Trip.com needs credit payment in advance as usual.  2. During check need to pay in advance towards the hotel. Later Trip.com will reimburse back my credit card bank. Which makes in convenience for me, my credit card bank and trip.com.  3. Hotel does not trust customer like us. Where we need to place RMB 200 holding during stay. I don’t understand why they need RMB 200 holding during stay. What happens customer forget to collect their RMB 200. Will the hotel send back to customer if deposit was paid in cash.  That is my setback. This was our first time where hotel neeeeeds to collect payment directly from customer. My God Oh.  Warmth regards

My stay at Qingmu Platinum Hotel was absolutely perfect! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the hotel's upscale vibe was palpable. The warm yellow lighting and exquisite decorative accents created an incredibly inviting atmosphere. The room itself was an even greater surprise; it was spacious and brightly lit. The bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, and the mattress had just the right firmness, guaranteeing a perfect night's sleep. The bathroom featured a thoughtful wet-dry separation, and the toiletries were a high-quality, aromatic range. Every detail reflected their dedication to guest comfort. The front desk staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and helpful. The breakfast selection was extensive and varied, and the hotel's proximity to Zhongshan Scenic Area was a huge plus. It's an excellent choice for both business travelers and tourists alike. I will definitely be back!

A year later, I came here again to enjoy the autumn in Jinling! A hotel under Nanjing Cultural Tourism Group! Facilities: Enjoy a comfortable and quiet sleep (I like the smart mattress); Environment: Excellent geographical location, Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Qinhuai River, Xuanwu Lake, Nanjing Museum, Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, Meiling Palace and other core business districts in Jinling are all within 5 kilometers; I woke up the next morning and watched the ”Jinling Sunrise” in the room (see Figure 2, 3) It was so happy! Be sure to enjoy the rich breakfast and Liuhuachun food here (enjoy a 10% discount with the room card)! Six Beijingers who have enjoyed Beijing roast duck for more than half a century actually swept away the ”Jinling Roast Duck”! Take the ”Love of the Yangtze River” tiger night cruise on the Yangtze River (see video 2, Figure 5, 6), 2 hours of night tour of Nanjing, tasting the ”Liuhuachun” food on the boat, adding unexpected fun!

Every time I go to Nanjing for a meeting, I stay at Guyu Lanting. The hotel is located near the Nanjing Museum. Although it is not a new hotel, it is warm and comfortable. The room is very standard, with large windows and good ventilation, but it is very quiet and has all the facilities. It is very clean, especially the bedding is clean and comfortable. The service staff are very polite and kind, and the front desk also upgraded my room. It is convenient to go shopping around, and there are many delicious foods in Nanjing. It is a hotel with a relatively high cost performance among the surrounding hotels!

Facilities: The facilities are quite comprehensive, and the location is very convenient for getting around. Service: The front desk offers luggage storage and even provided welcome fruit. Environment: The place was clean and hygienic. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place, especially since it's reasonably priced. As for food in Nanjing, there's a lot to choose from, but I strongly advise against eating near the Confucius Temple (Fuzimiao) area. It's overpriced and frankly, the food isn't good. Trust me, I've already made that mistake for you!

Excellent service and a truly comfortable stay! The hotel is clean, cozy, and absolutely up to 5-star standards. All the staff are incredibly well-trained and attentive. Special shoutout to Aurora 宋凤秀 at the front desk — she went above and beyond when I asked for information. Not only did she offer detailed guidance, but she even volunteered to help pick up my delivery from another building because she was worried I might get lost.

Very satisfied. The tea and snacks provided in the lobby are very warm. There is a free laundry room and gym on the first floor, which is very convenient. The front desk check-in is very professional and quick. Ms. Du in the lobby is very enthusiastic and patient in introducing attractions and food. Zhou Zhiyu's service is also very good.
