I have never felt so compelled to write a review for a hotel. Our stay at Jinling Mandarin Garden Hotel Nanjing was a disappointing one. First of all the theme room we reserved was a very small room with view of another building with absolutely no privacy. The corridor and the room reeked of cigarette smoke at all time. So much so we had to turned off the centralised cooling system and rely on a fan I requested from the front desk. Anyway the cooling system was set at 23 and felt very stuffy. The light in the toilet turned off after a certain period and the motion sensor was not the most sensitive. I paid for comfort and do not appreciate to be dictate when and how to use them. I like my room to be 20C and lights on during the time I’m in the shower however long it takes. And absolutely do not appreciate to be subjected to inhale secondhand smoke for the last 2 days. It was a birthday celebration that has been ruined, not only that you didn’t take note of the request, first was given a room without a bathtub then we finally settled with one that has one but stank with cigarettes smell and with absolutely no view.
Breakfast was very average but sufficient, full unhappy staffs standing around. Coffee was excellent though. Beside the good location right next to Fuzimiao that’s nothing good about the hotel unfortunately. It takes lots of tourist groups so the breakfast area gets very busy. For the price we paid there are many more better hotels to choose from in the area. My biggest regret in this trip.

Central and strategic location in city centre. 5-star hotel, good service, large and functional in different aspects. Metro station is just next to it and both lines 1 and 2 are available. Room inside is very clean, spacious and cozy with international TV channels. Overall, can't go wrong. Some top notch (and pricey) restaurants here.
The hotel has a low premium during the May Day holiday and is very cost-effective. I took my niece out for a trip. When checking in, I called my brother and sister-in-law to confirm. The hotel has a high sense of safety and deserves praise! The only drawback is that there are no children's toiletries and no footrests. It is not very convenient for children under 1.2 meters to wash.
Listen to the flowing water, watch the flowers bloom and fade, enjoy the garden scenery, and taste the Huaiyang delicacies. The Chinese garden style of the hotel is so surprising. The environment is first-class, and there is a view at every step. It only takes 5 minutes to walk to the subway station. There are Fangshan and Niu Shoushan nearby, which are worth climbing. The hotel staff are very friendly. Thanks to Manager Ethan Qian for his meticulous and thoughtful arrangements. The accommodation and dining are very good. The breakfast restaurant is clean and tidy, and the staff are well-trained. It is a special pleasure to enjoy the small bridges, flowing water, flowers and trees outside the window while dining. Duck blood vermicelli soup, shredded radish cakes, and salted duck are so delicious that I was so full that I bought 2 of their special salted ducks as gifts for friends. I will definitely come here often in the future.
This stay was great! The hotel has an elegant environment, clean and tidy rooms, and complete facilities. The bed was very comfortable, which gave me a good night's sleep. The staff was friendly, and Li Mingyue provided thoughtful service, making everyone feel at home from check-in to check-out. The breakfast was rich in variety and tasted very good. The location of the hotel is also very convenient, with convenient transportation around and many restaurants and snacks nearby. In short, this was a very pleasant stay and I highly recommend it to everyone! I will choose this hotel next time I come here!
The whole family is very satisfied. Everything is very good, the food is good, the accommodation is good, and every service staff is super considerate. They took our luggage, greeted us, and made us feel at home. The experience was super good. My family members kept praising us. We will stay at Hongqiao Hotel again next time we come. I would like to give a real praise to Miss Ji Yuwen! When checking in, they were as friendly as old friends, and they would greet us proactively every day when entering and leaving the hotel. The most surprising thing is that she remembered our travel plans and proactively provided weather reminders and traffic suggestions. They also helped us pack our luggage when we checked out. Such a warm service!

Clean room and close to airport. Great choice for people reaching Nanjing late at night or early morning flight as hotel provide free pickup service at the airport and it’s close distance means travelers can get a good rest soon after a tiring flight. Might make sense for hotel to tie up packages with airlines that arrive Nanjing airport late at night.
The hotel environment is very good. Unexpectedly, the customer service Tao Yu called me in advance and added WeChat to arrange the specific check-in process. It felt very comfortable. The welcome fruit was prepared as soon as I entered. The children's toiletries and breakfast were also prepared in advance. good
During the Chinese New Year, the CEO and sales director of Jinling personally picked us up at the airport. They were very friendly. The counter staff were enthusiastic and could help solve problems in a timely manner. Mr. Zhao, the airport pick-up person of Shanshui Phase I, also picked us up at the airport. He was enthusiastic and provided thoughtful service. I am very grateful to all the staff of Jinling for their efforts during the Chinese New Year. Thank you.
The hotel is great for the price. Good location across from a park with a lake. Beds were comfortable, and clean. The room was cleaned daily. Bottled water provided. The towels were soft and absorbent. The buffet breakfast, at 30 RMB was good. Coffee! A good selection of choices. You can fry your own eggs. Steamed buns and fried noodles. A good choice. Friendly staff. A convenience store right off the lobby. One peculiarity: The toilet was immediately behind the door, which always hit it when entering. The shower is small, and the water escapes to soak the bathroom floor... But towels provided. Toiletries provided are good.
