I chose to stay at the Windsor Court because it is the destination for those who actually live here to celebrate special moments in their lives. We were not disappointed. This hotel is the epitome of what people think of when you hear southern hospitality and charm. It is a lovely property. We stayed in one of their suites and it was nicely appointed. While we enjoyed our stay there are two things that need special recognition. 1) All the doormen but especially Corey who is an absolute star. My mom is 91 with limited mobility and without Corey I have no idea how I would have gotten her in and out of all our taxis and cars—and he secured the best driver to get us the airport. 2) Whomever runs their in-room dining has their A game on. Not only is ordering a pleasure they are extremely fast and everything is beautifully presented (and their beignets are excellent). I have stayed at one of the other 5 star properties in New Orleans and it was very nice but there is something far more authentic and personal about the Windsor Court.

For legal reasons all of this is alleged, of course. Word to the wise, especially women, there’s a predaceous atmosphere here. Seems like the intention is to hire attractive impressionable women and encourage alcohol consumption beyond belief. One of their own volunteers likened it to “sex tourism”. It makes for a weird time. Great place to go if you’re looking for underage drinking because they’ll supply that. Got my wallet stolen on Bourbon St (watch yourself if you go), can’t help but feel like part of it was the negligence of Kat the volunteer leading. She was too drunk to properly guide. She didn’t even check on me after my wallet was stolen. I don’t blame her though, it’s on the owners. They put all the responsibility on the naïve and unpaid volunteers. The owners are never around, they just do the paperwork there. I was able to make the most of the trip but overall the hostel has a weird vibe. —— If you want to know the full story; Everything turned extremely sour when there was a misunderstanding with my reservation. I don’t blame the worker who missed it, it was a simple misunderstanding. My reservation was booked for one day shorter than I thought, they didn’t catch the mistake so I slept the night there and was charged in the morning (had I known this prior I would’ve booked different hotel for the night. Due to how much sound travels in house it’s impossible to sleep). They had no card on file because I canceled it due to the theft. They would’ve been outta luck if I had refused to pay, I could’ve challenged it due to their lack of due diligence. But I enjoy being honest. Hence why I’m leaving this review. I was waiting for my mom to send her card info so I could pay and Kat insisted on watching me pack. She sat on the floor attempting to manipulate me while packing, even tho I had earbuds in. She wouldn’t let me walk away from the fight, which tells me she’s miserable in her life. Her pride finally gave up after I continued ignoring her and packing for 5 minutes. She was attempting to have me sit in the office until payment arrived, instead of packing up. Sounded counterproductive to me because I was making myself busy, having a panic attack, while waiting for my mom to send payment info. There’s only one door to leave so this intensity made no sense. She also refused to give me a towel, even though I had an hour until check out. Seemed like an ego trip for Kat. Not to mention she didn’t sleep the night before working, she was busy partying. Kat might’ve done it, but Myrridas didn’t do anything to stop her. It was so so weird. So unprovoked. Felt very “mean high school girls” which is not that you want from “professionals” while on vacation. I understanding wanting payment but I agreed to once the card info came in and I wanted to carefully pack until check out time. Kat was acting like I killed her first born baby. My husband and I stayed for 6 nights for an anniversary trip we took to New Orleans We loved it. The property was beautiful. And the room was spotless. Housekeeping supplied us with plenty of towels and an extra blanket when I felt cold. The bad was very comfortable but kind of hard to get in and out if due to us being very short The only weird thing about our room as the half a shower door. There was a glass door but only on one half and every time I showered I made a mess.There is an onsite breakfast. The coffee is complimentary but the breakfast is 15. We enjoyed making our own waffles so much we went twice. The young man who was staffing the breakfast on Tuesday was the best server I had my entire trip and the waffles were amazing. If I return to new Orleans I will definitely return to the Madison St charles

I postponed 4 times and stayed 8 nights in total. The location and value for money are really great! There are many attractions such as the French Quarter and cruises, outlets, the World War II Museum, and the Lafayette Cemetery in the Garden District. There are various food bars nearby. I, a person who cannot do without Chinese food, ate 8 days of American Southern cuisine. Get in the habit of having a margarita cocktail a day. The New Orleans are also friendly and will greet tourists who help us not know the road. If we have fun, we are reluctant to leave. The hotel is renovated in two hundred-year-old buildings. The front porch is filled with rocking chairs that are customary in the southern United States. It provides hot water and coffee for 24 hours. There is also a lounge area where guests can bring things back to eat. The room was clean, the bath products were good, and the bed was comfortable. Just outside the window of the room on the first floor was the wall with New Orleans architectural features, but it was not afraid to disturb. There are old-fashioned trams outside the hotel for easy transportation. In short, New Orleans music, food, marshland and voodoo ghost culture are very interesting. Unfortunately, I did n’t catch the carnival, but this trip has made me happy
