The Historic Blue Moon Hotel - NYC

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful and gave us a tour of the art and the premises. The rooms we saw were immaculate, refined, and the views of the city unmatched. It is impressive what this family-run hotel is doing to revive the history of the American immigrant story in New York City.

What a lovely Hotel! A wonderful part of history that has a chic style of it’s own. I was privileged to meet the owner Randy when I arrived. He gave me the low down on the history of the building and the art that was hanging in the lobby, that he made of found articles and such when first purchased the building. Great location and staff, would stay in the Junior Suite again, any time! Thank You!

Most unique place in New York, probably the only Hotel actually run by real New Yorkers, super historic and makes you really understand what New York is about. Amazing, caring staff always at the ready. Really recommend. Tip: Sweet dreams Cafe in the Lobby has some excellent dining options as well

Great Hotel. We heard there was a beautiful hotel in lower Manhattan (Lower East Side) with beautiful ambience and fresh and plush and highly comfortable rooms and so we tried The Historical BLUE MOON hotel. Feels Like home. We actually came to eat at their restaurant, SWEET DREAMS, and we asked to see a room . Well it was not a tiny NYC hotel room; it was a well appointed apartment. So I booked it right away. All the staff and owner were particularly friendly and welcoming. The rooms were OverSized- especially for lower Manhattan- and so beautiful and comfortable. So "homey" with kitchenettes, soaking tubs and all the comforts and conveniences one would want. Further, the great restaurant, called SWEET DREAMS, with lovely art and history incorporated in every inch of the hotel. And, such delicious, homemade Italian cuisine style food. I fell in love with the lovingly restored gorgeous hotel as well as with the cozy and atmospheric Sweet Dreams Cafe. The food is in itself an experience and delicious; the rooms at the hotel are spacious, have great amenities, and a wonderful view.

Perfect location, surrounded by all the NYC go to neighborhoods such as Soho & East Village. You are stone throw away from the Williamsburg Bridge where you can walk over to Brooklyn. Huge apartment sized rooms with well-equipped kitchenettes, soaking tubs, high ceilings and terraces. The café is awesome, with great Italian food and pastries and piano music. This is my new go to place in NYC!

Wow, what an incredible stay! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the warmth and hospitality of the staff. The room was luxurious, spotless, and comfortable, with amenities that exceeded my expectations. But what really made this hotel stand out was the exceptional service - everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping team went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcome and taken care of. The location was perfect, too - just a short walk from all the local attractions. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough - it's truly a gem. Five stars isn't enough - I'd give it ten stars if I could!

What an AMAZING hotel! It is evident that every detail in this is a work of love. The neighborhood, personnel, food, atmosphere, and hospitality are all excellent! Thanks to the owners' repair efforts, artistic collages, and loving care. It was truly remarkable. This is where you HAVE to stay!

A unique experience in a very charming, artistic setting. Not your average New York hotel, but more reminiscent of a European trip. Altogether pleasant, clean, and well-appointed. We really enjoyed ourselves, and warmly recommend you to visit!
