The Lowell was full where I usually stay so booked The Mark thinking it would be comparable bc of location and price. Not even close. Robotic service, hideous decor, tacky clientele. Zero attention to detail. It seemed staged for instagram posts, especially the new crab shack outside. No heart and soul. Laughable amenities including a drawer full of free Hershey Bars and Oreos. Steer clear. A pig in lipstick is still a pig...

The Mark isn’t just sumptuously lush, it’s welcoming to family and dogs, the staff is endlessly kind and helpful and the service is A+. We stayed for a few weeks and would never stay elsewhere. Just the best in every way. Stylish and super chic, you would be forgiven if you thought it’s all about the Mark name or reputation, but it’s truly the warmth of the front desk, the smiles and pleasant nature of the bellman, and the super-connected and knowledgeable concierge that make the Mark so special..

First time stay but won’t be the last. The Mark is head and shoulders above the competition. Special shout outs to Avery on reception and Susannah the concierge, both of whom led their colleagues by going the extra mile to make our stay even more perfect. We were lucky to have breakfast credit - great way to start the day and after a late theatre trip, the bar food was a perfect end to our day. Gym was perfectly adequateOne criticism - internet was poor with the expectation that you might pay for upgraded WiFi - come on guys - it’s 2025! Loved the Mark - and especially my souvenir ashtray - thank you Susannah!

The Mark is an exceptional hotel. Having recently spent the first 3 nights of my trip at another Upper East Side hotel that was a little underwhelming I decided to switch to The Mark for my last night. My only regret is not staying at The Mark for my entire trip! Truly the icing on the cake with the most comfy beds, gorgeous bathrooms and great lighting. Nothing worse than a dark room! The staff were so welcoming and the food delicious. The Mark has the perfect vibe. If you are picky then this is your hotel. I look forward to returning!
