We recently enjoyed a spa day as part of my sister in law’s hen do and it was fabulous. The communication between the staff and I upon booking was great and they answered all of our queries. Nothing was too much trouble. Some of us did a half day, some a full day and some a few hours and this was all well organised on the day. We could also add people on for lunch very last minute. The staff were very attentive and made sure the bride had a perfect day. Even little touches such as decorating the lunch area with balloons and confetti. The facilities are pristine and very modern. I would highly recommend. The girls also loved their treatments. We had a range including facials, massages and scrubs and everyone was very happy and felt pampered! Thank you again. I would highly recommend for a hen party and a spa day in general! :)

Stayed in a suite which was spacious and accomodating. Bathroom was luxurious and I had a gorgeous bubble bath after a cold day out in Whitby. The staff were all very welcoming and professional and both breakfast and dinner were tasty and satisfying.

Stayed in one of the new Spa suites for three nights, situated right next to the spa. It’s got all you’d expect, its own private patio area, a rain shower in a large well appointed bathroom with waterfall taps. Ample comfortable furniture, two doors leading to the patio area, from bedroom or sitting room. The only downside was an echo due to there as yet being almost no wall decorations, something I’m sure is both easily fixed and probably already on the todo list. The staff couldn’t be friendlier, nothing was too much trouble for them. Being dog lovers ourselves it was great to see how the pets were treated as guests as well as their owners. Next visit we’ll definitely be bringing our mad Sprocker. We also booked a half day in the spa on our checkout day. Overall, aside from teething trouble with the sauna, we left feeling refreshed, having thoroughly enjoyed our break.

The website portrays a 1st class appearance but unfortunately very different on arrival …hotel looking very tired and in desperate need of some updating and modernising in areas …on saying this the twin room was clean warm and of good size …the bathroom was lovely and warm with fluffy large white towels the spa was lovely …large steam room jacuzzi …and our treatments were 1st class and staff were very friendly and helpful . The evening 3 course meal was very disappointing and rather odd …the long potato croquet filled with something hard to describe was very disappointing but the lamb was very nice …the lemon olive oil sponge was like a brick and so cold (straight from the fridge) my friends frangipan was also extremely hard and freezing cold …all in all very disappointing. the breakfast next morning was fine …full English with cereal choices juices and toast …we walked round the grounds before leaving and was quite surprised to see several piles of rubbish and remains of building materials piled up …just made the place seem run down.

Where do we even start. We got married at Ox Pasture Hall on Saturday (20th April) and it was perfect from start to finish. We could set up throughout the week, the staff were attentive and caring and nothing was too much of an ask. Claire has been brilliant in organising our day and Kia did anything on the day to make sure it was running smoothly and that us and our guests were happy. The general manager lynsey was great at helping me get to the venue unseen before the ceremony. The bar and restaurant staff ( Harry, Harry, Morgan,Masie, Finley and Shelley) worked so hard and everyone wished us well and asked if we were ok or needed anything. The rooms and food were amazing. We stayed an extra night and the food at the onsite restaurant was some of the best food we've ever had. The spa was also clean and relaxing and again ran by happy, helpful staff, who couldn't do enough for you. The weekend was everything we could have asked for and more, and the staff were a massive part of this. And the grounds are simply beautiful.

Visited Thomas Carr fish resteraunt to celebrate my sisters 60th birthday. The entire experience from start to finish was excellent. The staff without exception were friendly, professional and went above and beyond . The food was delicious . I would highly recommend a visit to Thomas Carr at the coast. I’m sure we will be back !

Website makes it look stylish and although the Hotel is unusual we had a number of issues culminating in an overcharge (subsequently rectified). We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed a good meal in Coast the first night. Clearly though there is a lack of attention to detail-clean hospitality areas but cushions not plumped ashtrays left uncleaned garden areas looking unkempt. The restaurant second night had limited menu and my wife did not like the mains. The kitchen however was unable to offer a steak or a breast of chicken as an alternative which was a surprise-citing late food deliveries. So okay stay and easily could have been better

My wife booked a spa overnight with bed and breakfast for my birthday. It's local to us but we thought it would be nice to have a treat. The good: Nice welcome from reception and we were able to get there early so they looked after our cases whilst we went to the spa. The spa is relatively new and was very quiet. Nice big towels and robes, good sized pool and a great hot tub with powerful jets. The food at dinner was delicious and the service excellent. The room we had was spacious and reasonably clean. The location and the buildings are beautiful The bad: The walk to the spa is through some lovely gardens but they're spoilt by building rubbish left in sight next to a big shipping container. They fenced of the septic tank, why not fence this off? Every ashtray in the gardens was left overflowing for the 24 hours we were there, crunched up cigarette packets left too, and the seating outside our room also had a stubbed out cigarette. The bathroom has seen better days with one of the side panels loose. The people in the next room were either very deaf and had the TV on really loud or the walls are paper thin - as i could tell you what was on the TV . Fortunately they turned it off at 10,30. The steam room in this brand new spa was closed for maintenance. Someone said they were waiting for a part. The receptionist didn't mention this when we walked in and it's poor when we'd booked the spa. The following morning when we went back to the spa the excellent hot tub we had used before was blocked off and the other had floating brown scum in it and black hairs. Very offputting and we got out after a minute. The morning receptionist seemed to be put out when we asked for towels and said she thought we must be members as we'd signed in. We said we were asked to the day before and we were guests, so she asked if we'd booked. When we said no and did we need to she said no. We were not left feeling welcome. My wife was guided to book online for the evening meal but then when she did that she was told to call. She got no confirmation about the hotel booking so had to call back twice and both times they couldn't find her booking. It was resolved eventually but only after she was left hanging on the phone to the tune of the receptionist muttering about the system. In effect this hotel has pretensions to be a luxury hotel but they can't carry it off because their attention to detail is poor.

Hubby and I booked a short stay at this hotel, which describes itself as a luxury hotel & spa. We found nothing luxurious about it apart from the prices and it turns out the spa is completely separate from the hotel with seemingly no communication between the two. Our room was comfortable but curtains were missing hooks; WiFi was poor and intermittent with no password available; the internal phone didn’t work and there were no plug sockets next to the bed to charge phones. The only thing I enjoyed was coming back to our room after a day out and finding the bed beautifully made, towels folded and clean cups - thank you housekeeping!
