Itoen Hotel New Sakura Reviews

The location is really good. 10 mins away from the station. Easy to find. Big hotel, about 11 floors. The room is quite spacious, part in western style with beds and part in japaneese with tatamis. There is sink in themiddle of the room, quite comfy. Good view to the mountain and forest from the window, 9th floor. Nice yukata to wear, i liked the outerpart. Breakfast and dinner is buffet, quite big choice, free beer for dinner, not so many fruits, no cakes for breakfast (dinner only). There is sushi and sashimi choice, delicious food. Onsen is quite good, clean, big. Will recommend to stay here

first of I would like to thanks always trip.com for very nice & convinient bookings everytime,we stay new sakura hotel,because the interior of the hotel is mostly sakura theme,the carpet,the gorgeous chandelier, the wall design,etc.or cherry blossom in Japan,& so very affordable prize,we spend only 18,000 yen for 2 adults,with 2 breakfast & 2 dinner.Very near from kinugawa onsen station,only 3 hrs.from Tokyo.We amazed the room,so very big for the two of us,for very cheap prize,can accomodate even 10 person,the buffet breakfast & dinner also is so good but the most I want to share is the drink all you can alcohol beverages for 1 hour,like beer,japanese wine,sours, all kinds of softhdrinks,I enjoyed for self service alcohol drink all you can!the hotspring also is very good but the cons is take care in the outdoor spring because of the concrete stairs,especially for the elderly when slippery,there's & a little bit far from our room,the young staff also at the counter is nice & most of them are young japanese lady,so very entertaining,so many free amusement like billiard,majong,etc.with a nice sorrounding sightseeng site.& last after check out they give 2000 yen discount coupon for the next visit,Thanks God & trip.com for a nice autumn tour moment in kinugawa onsen Tochigi Perfecture Japan

Lodging at this hotel is a good choice of a high cost or price performance ratio, apart from its location quite near to the eki or train station. Foods in the dinners or breakfasts are abundant; and happy to have beer and sake in the dinner. Room is large enough for three guests. Pity that there is no Wifi provided in the dining9 place; also there is no covered outdoor walkway connecting the main block and South Wing and guests would get wet on the way to the dining place or onsen, when it rains. Lack of ramps but many steps connecting places of different levels. Parking lots are not close to the assigned rooms.

It was great that there was free karaoke, table tennis, and a private bath, but I felt that the soundproofing was a little lacking.

The room was clean and very spacious. Breakfast was good. The dinner buffet was plentiful. Unlimited beer and sake. There is a Lawson next to the hotel, just a 1 minute walk away.

The time of the dinner and breakfast buffet the next day was determined by the check-in time, and only late spaces were available. Also, the nearby parking lots were full, and Parking Lot 4 was far away, across from the station. The view from the room was a bit disappointing, as it was far from the river. It would be better if there were separate toothbrushes for the night and morning, as you could often hear conversations from the next room and in the hallway.

This is a hotel where you can experience a retro feel. Perhaps because of this, in the East and West wings you have to go out through an outside walkway to get to the main building or the baths, which can be difficult on rainy days. However, there are convenience stores and the station nearby, so I think it's a nice hotel. Retro hotels like this are becoming increasingly rare these days, so it's good that this hotel has such a long history.

It was a great feeling to go there for the first time. I will definitely go again if I have the chance.

My room was in the South Wing, a little far away, so I had to walk a bit to get to the bath and meals. The food was pretty decent considering the price. One hour of free karaoke was nice.

The service was okay, but there were few waiters who spoke English. The hot springs were decent. The highlight was the buffet, with free beer and wine. The breakfast was also very good. The surrounding area was very quiet. It is definitely worth a visit.

I really like this place. The atmosphere is nice, I can learn about Japanese culture. The dinner and breakfast are enough for sightseeing. Actually, I want to stay for a few more days, but I have other plans to travel. Next time, if I come to Nikko, I will stay here.
