Very enjoyable stay overall with group of friends. The hotel is very clean all around and the staff is very hard working and friendly. Buffet had a nice variety each day making reservations at the specialty restaurants really just an added plus if you could snag one. Beach was beautiful. Lots of peddlers on the beach, but after the first day you notice it's the same individuals repeatedly. They will largely leave you alone if you're not interested. Hotel staff are always nearby on the beach if needed. The bed was an issue, we booked a king bed, but in reality it was just two full sized pushed together with a large gap in the middle. Not a comfortable arrangement at all for sleeping with your partner. Lastly, there were a couple questionable characters on the resort being served by the bar tenders (not wearing a hotel bracelet), who tried to get us to come party off site with them. We did not appreciate this situation. Overall, a nice no frills adult only inclusive resort option in the Bahamas.

The food, while plentiful, was average at best. The steakhouse was an Outback type restaurant. We spent two of our three nights there eating dinner at Atlantis restaurants. The staff at Riu was great and made the stay better than the food tasted, and the rooms were nicely done as well.

The staff were excellent. Lobby was beautifully decorated, but then rooms seemed outdated and not as luxurious as lobby area. There is not much to do on bad weather days and the inside bar seemed very dated. The beach was beautiful, but could become over crowded at times. Would go back for food and staff, but that’s it.

They kept it way too cold inside for no warmer than the weather was. There was no place to go and warm up.

Pros: best food we’ve had at an all inclusive resort!
Great view and location - walking distance to ****** & stores at Atlantis. Some shows were good but others just relied on audience participation
Cons: Had to get on their app early in morning to get a reservation for specialty restaurants
No beach toys like kayaks etc.
2 pools are right next to each other- no real outdoor space at resort except for pools and the beach
Elevators were a pain- we were lucky to be put on top floor with great view and huge room but could only use 1 of the 3 elevators to reach our floor. Yet this elevator was shared with the entire resort so it took quite awhile to ever get an elevator. They should have made 1 elevator for upper floors only.

The hotel was old and the food was horrible. We paid for a junior suite with an ocean view and got a small room over looking an abandoned hotel. Hotel is falling apart and it is not maintained. Hotel Manager is rude and not helpful in any way. Way over priced for what you get. We will not go back to a RIU hotel.

I loved the staff. They are friendly but my services were out of their hands because I booked through *******. Un able to keep me close to my friends. No ocean view or view of Atlantis. Couldn’t arrange transportation because I booked through *******

Great property and service. Close to the beach, not overwhelming. Very well appointed and clean. The staff was very friendly. There were plenty of food options.
The beach area is beautiful.
I was disappointed with the sales folks on the beach area. It was annoying on a daily basis.
