⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Most Memorable Stay of My First Trip to China I did a lot of research before choosing this guesthouse in Lijiang. Then I saw a photo of Aobai and somehow felt a calling 😂. I'm so glad I booked it because this turned out to be the most memorable stay of my entire trip. From the moment we arrived, Ah Zhi and Xiaofei came to pick us up from the drop-off point and helped with our large and heavy luggage. We were travelling with children and walking slowly, but Xiaofei patiently walked with us while Ah Zhi pulled the luggage trolley all the way. My first impression was that Ah Zhi and Xiaofei looked quite serious and intimidating 😂, but after getting to know them, I discovered they are some of the kindest and most helpful people I met during my trip. The guesthouse is tucked away among the shops, making it peaceful, quiet, and cozy. We were welcomed by beautiful lady boss Wang Hui with high-quality Pu'er tea and flower pastries. The hospitality started immediately, and the tea never seemed to stop flowing. Xiaofei, who constantly made sure I never went thirsty. Every time he saw me, he would offer me tea or stop by for a chat. Although my Mandarin is limited, communication was never a problem. We used Google Translate whenever needed and even had a few of our famous ”fresh air sessions” together 😂. Before long, it became an inside joke whenever Ah Zhi or Xiaofei saw me. Of course, I cannot forget Aobai, the true star of the guesthouse! The owners were always happy to let Aobai out whenever my children wanted to see or play with him. After one play session, Xiaofei even noticed my coat was covered in Aobai's fur and handed me a lint remover. Such a thoughtful gesture. Breakfast was one of the most unique experiences. All guests sit together at one long dining table, creating a warm and homely atmosphere. As a Muslim, I couldn't eat the noodles, but that was not a problem. I enjoyed steamed sweet potatoes, corn, and eggs, while the staff kindly prepared hot water for the cup noodles I brought for my children and even provided milk drinks. Everyone was respectful of my dietary restrictions. There is also a free-flow coffee machine in the lobby using freshly ground coffee beans. Thank you, Ah Zhi, for making fresh coffee for me. When I requested milk for my coffee, Ah Zhi and Xiaofei happily helped. These little gestures made me feel so welcome. It rained throughout our stay, but Xiaofei and Ah Zhi constantly reminded us to take umbrellas whenever we went out. Even when they were having dinner, they would come out to assist us, greet us when we returned, or see us off when we left. A special thank you to Wang Hui, Ah Zhi, and Xiaofei. Their warmth, kindness, and hospitality made us feel completely at home. On checkout day, our train was very early, and Ah Zhi kindly sent us off with flower pastries and milk drinks for the journey. Xiaofei also recommended a halal restaurant nearby, and the food was exceptionally delicious. I would also like to thank the other staff members whose names I unfortunately did not get. Every single person we met was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely caring. I already miss Aobai and would return in a heartbeat. Thank you for making my first trip to China such a memorable one. This French-style courtyard hotel in Lijiang perfectly met all my needs! 🏡 It's just a twenty-minute walk to the Big Waterwheel, so I didn't have to deal with the crowds at the Old Town entrance. Being off the main thoroughfare meant I could explore the Old Town at my leisure, avoiding all the noise. The moment I stepped through the gate, the street noise just vanished. This perfectly solved the common problem of Old Town guesthouses being noisy due to their proximity to the street and constant tourist traffic. The suite was spacious and didn't feel cramped, unlike many other guesthouses. While the room itself didn't offer a snow-capped mountain view, the exclusive rooftop terrace was perfect for relaxing, enjoying the breeze, and gazing at the distant, continuous mountain range – truly a cure for travel fatigue. The concierge was incredibly thoughtful and attentive throughout my stay, promptly responding to any requests, which saved me the hassle of worrying about everything when I went out. The breakfast was decent and convenient, so I didn't have to search for food elsewhere. The soundproofing in the room was excellent; the outside tourist noise didn't disturb my rest at all. It truly offered a tranquil escape amidst the hustle and bustle. Both the location, comfort, and service were ideal. I'll definitely be choosing this courtyard again on my next trip to Lijiang.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They confirmed my check-in details and the hotel's location in advance. Upon arrival, they immediately offered to help with my luggage and even assisted with purchasing tickets for the Song Dynasty City show (I didn't realize discounted tickets needed to be bought a day in advance, but the hotel managed to get them for me). They were consistently warm and welcoming whenever I saw them. The breakfast was plentiful and, more importantly, delicious, with a fantastic view from the restaurant. The room was spacious and modern, featuring a double vanity and a large dressing mirror, perfect for two women to get ready simultaneously. My friend was extremely pleased. Initially, I was a bit worried based on some user-uploaded photos on Amap, but thankfully, the hotel's photos on Trip.com were accurate and trustworthy, not misleading. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

This hotel experience was absolutely fantastic! The service was so warm and welcoming, it felt like coming home. Someone helped with my luggage when I checked in, and whenever I left, the staff would ask where I was going and give really practical advice. Their attitude was unbelievably good. The location is convenient, and the room facilities are complete. Even the alpacas in the garden are super cute and not afraid of people! I'm just a bit annoyed that the peacocks didn't spread their tails. Overall, the experience was excellent! Highly recommend giving it a try!

I traveled to Lijiang alone this time and chose the Lanye designer B&B. The overall experience far exceeded my expectations. I couldn't find any fault with the hygiene, environment, service, or facilities. Firstly, the hygiene was exceptionally well-maintained, providing a perfect surprise. The bed linens were soft and skin-friendly, visibly clean and dry. The floors and bathroom corners were spotless, without any water stains or odors. Toiletries were neatly arranged, and every detail was meticulously cared for, making my stay feel incredibly secure. The B&B boasts a 500㎡ healing garden, creating a wonderfully ambient atmosphere. It's very close to the Big Waterwheel in Lijiang Old Town, making it extremely convenient for exploring. The courtyard's greenery is artfully arranged, and you can see the snow-capped mountains when you look up. It's a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling city, allowing you to experience the lively atmosphere of the old town while enjoying a peaceful and comfortable private space. It's perfect for taking photos. The owner's service was warm and just right. Before check-in, they thoughtfully sent travel guides and proactively helped with luggage upon arrival. They also kindly recommended authentic local cuisine and off-the-beaten-path routes. Any questions were answered promptly, and the entire stay was attentive and considerate without being intrusive – the balance was perfectly struck. The entire house features FUTURE smart facilities, offering an excellent intelligent experience. Lights and appliances can be smart-controlled, and the mattress is incredibly comfortable, truly living up to its 'deep sleep space' name, allowing for a good rest after a tiring journey. The hardware is brand new and in perfect condition, operating smoothly. The soft furnishings are sophisticated yet cozy, combining both aesthetics and practicality. Overall, it was a nearly perfect accommodation experience. If I come to Lijiang again, I will definitely choose this B&B again. I sincerely recommend it to anyone traveling to Lijiang.

I booked this hotel specifically for the rooftop terrace, hoping to see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain view. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate. It was foggy during my entire stay, and I couldn't see any of the snow mountain. 😨 The room itself was very quiet. However, since the hotel is located within a residential building, walking down the corridor, you can pretty much see everything happening in the neighboring apartments. The hotel's amenities and services were quite good. During my stay, I was able to enjoy the Thangka (******* painting) display and afternoon tea. However, the breakfast selection wasn't very extensive, and the staff management wasn't great either. There wasn't a dedicated person to confirm room numbers. The young man cooking noodles was asking guests for their room numbers while preparing their food.

I specially booked this place for my trip to Baisha, and I didn't expect the location to be so fantastic. It's right at the entrance of the ancient town, and the direct shuttle bus stops right at the door—no need to drag luggage over the cobblestone streets. The room was quite clean, equipped with smart home systems, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a direct view of the snow-capped mountains. Lying in bed in the morning, I could watch the golden sunrise on the peaks; totally worth it. The public area features a large lawn and a viewing platform, and they have a campfire in the evening, creating a great vibe. The butler was very welcoming and provided a useful travel guide. Great value for money, definitely a top choice in Baisha. Overall, I'm very satisfied and will definitely stay here again next time.

Attracted by the Song Dynasty aesthetic of the courtyard, I booked this guesthouse, and it truly didn't disappoint. The courtyard boasts an elegant and rustic charm, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the rooftop terrace offers panoramic views of the ancient city. It's picturesque enough to get great photos just within the guesthouse itself. Its location near the north gate of the ancient city is super convenient, close to popular spots for photos like Da Shi Qiao (Great Stone Bridge), the Paper Umbrella Street, the Great Waterwheel, and Sifang Street. The guesthouse owner was incredibly nice, even helping us book a table at a popular internet-famous restaurant and recommending a great little bar. We stayed for two nights, and they provided airport/station pickup. Upon arrival at the ancient city entrance, there was someone with a cart to help transport our luggage, and they even carried it upstairs for us. Our two-day stay was truly hassle-free and comfortable. This is definitely the right choice for a family trip.

Banyan Tree Lijiang is absolutely beautiful! Even though it rained both days of our stay, the traditional Chinese courtyard felt perfectly in tune with the weather, offering a unique charm. Before booking, I was a little worried after seeing the hotel's pictures – I'm not sure how they took those promotional shots, because in person, the scenery far exceeded my expectations. All my photos were taken with a phone, so they're quite authentic. The service was also excellent; when my child wanted to sleep alone, they even set up an extra bed for them. The hotel offers plenty of activities to keep kids entertained, and there are small animals and many fruit trees on the property. The osmanthus flowers were already blooming during our visit, filling the air with their fragrant scent. On our last day, they even arranged a travel photoshoot for us. All in all, it was definitely worth it!

This guesthouse was incredibly heartwarming. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly, with a really personal touch. The location is super convenient too, with a parking lot right outside, making it easy to get to all the scenic spots. The front desk lady even upgraded my room for free! It was truly a worthwhile trip!
