GGuest UserThe only parking option is valet parking, which costs $37. The scenery is nice, right by the river. The swimming pool is relatively small. The monotonous breakfast is a common feature of Western hotels, but there is nothing to complain about.

FFrench DudeLocation: The hotel is conveniently located near the airport, but it actually takes a 20-minute detour by car to get there. It's not easy to find because they changed their name to Holiday Inn Express without any clear notification. Breakfast: The breakfast area was under renovation, so breakfast had to be taken in the lobby area between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM on the first day, then it changed to 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM without any notice. The breakfast options were limited: eggs, steak-like items that resembled cardboard, milk cartons, juice, coffee, and bread. Dining Options: There are no dining options at the hotel. You have to take an Uber or use Uber Eats to get food, as there are no nearby restaurants, just other hotels. The ongoing renovations meant no restaurant or bar was available on-site. Rooms: The rooms are spacious and I loved the sitting area. There are two TVs in the room, and the bathroom is perfect. However, like many American hotels, there were no toothbrush options and no hand showers. Staff: The staff were very professional and kind. I appreciated not having to present a credit card since everything was paid online. Wi-Fi: The Wi-Fi was good, but you have to re-enter the code every day. Overall, the Cambria Hotel (now Holiday Inn Express) has its advantages, especially with room size and staff professionalism, but there are significant inconveniences due to the renovations and lack of dining options.

GGuest UserAfter clearing customs, the hotel shuttle was easy to catch at Exit 5, running every half hour, which was very convenient. The rooms come with a kitchenette, perfect for longer stays if you plan to grocery shop and prepare your own meals to save some money. The breakfast was also excellent.

AAndreNice welcome at the valet parking and reception. We had to prepare sofa bed ourselves, although stated during booking that we will use it. Showering without flooding the bathroom was not possible. The dinner in hotel’s restaurant was good. The balcony was quite spacious but is flooded if it rains. Fitness room and outdoor pool too small. You hear the metro rail quite well and the construction noise and the fire department unit alarms.

GGuest UserHotel itself was fine. Was a bit annoyed that the bar was not open even for a soft drink if wanted till much later. When I went down to get a bite to eat I was informed that most of the menu was not available and my selection was limited to about three items to choose from. What I found most annoying was that apparently they had some type of youth group training going on on my floor which was right next to my room. Numerous times I heard the participants laughing or conversing loudly in the hall way. Whenever I decided to leave my room to go downstairs I had to run through a gantlet of participants who were having their break out session in the hallway of which I had to walk through disrupting their conversations. While they were polite about it, it did make me feel uncomfortable to leave the room while they were doing this. When I did mention to the desk what was going on they told me about the group which was fine but I wish they would have put me on another floor if this was going on. Overall it was just an overnight stay here before a cruise but honestly next time I would choose a different hotel.

HHubertLocation SUPER! Food OK. Hotel old, room clean, but so, so. But it was Miami Downtown! If was the second stay in Miami on this winter school holidays trip, so it was just for one night only. The boy in the lobby for luggage also did his job well! The most terrible experience with this stay was the booking by itself. Because making it at the end we felt a bit in a hurry so even though we made booking 2 days in advance (prior to coming from Orlando), I made there a lapsus by making reservation with the start date. I was putting in as starting date the date of when reservation was made (also because of outer distractions), so could not cancel it any more (48hrs before start date of reg. only). So I made and paid second one as well. Facilities old but still OK (altghough it could be in much better condition; compared let's say to an older hotel by Lake Bled in my country, for example, let's say Hotel Triglav with Restaurant 1906 - I always loved it and I still do, altgough there are many by us (older, where I stayed in) (let's say a dozen, maybe not that famous as this one) (but then again just by us there were a few dozens newer ones (but relative to period of 30yrs I am doing that, then not so many), I did stay in, that were also super at least). Tried to negotiate a bit with employees in hotel reception, but they put it all back on me again and said, it was mine and trip.com matter only, relying for us to solve it by ourselves between us...

GGuest UserReview: I arrived at 7:00 AM and found no staff, no reception, and no check-in instructions. My wife and I had to wait outside until another guest happened to come out and let us in. Inside, I met someone who I thought was staff, but he was just another guest. He tried to help me contact the hotel, but no one — not even other guests — could reach the manager. There is no real lobby, just a yard. I waited three hours outside until someone finally responded. Then I was told I couldn’t check in until 3:00 PM unless I paid $100 extra. That’s way more than most hotels charge for early check-in which is about 20$. I asked for a refund so I could leave — they refused. With no choice, I left my luggage with the housekeeper (the only helpful person) and had to walk around the city with my wife for six hours before coming back. When I finally checked in, I just got a text message with a door code — no person, no welcome. The room had lots of bugs, and both of us got bitten badly overnight. There were even cockroaches in the kitchen. This is not a real hotel. It’s overpriced, poorly managed, and has no customer service. Avoid if you care about basic hospitality.

GGuest UserThere is a lack of cleaning, and the shower comes out with water every time it is used. Being next to an avenue you can hear a lot of noise. The beds are comfortable.
