The room is simple and elegant, clean and tidy, warm and romantic. The butler-style service is meticulous and makes people feel at home.
The hotel has an excellent environment, embedded in a wonderful hillside, surrounded by trees and green grass, with cattle and horses roaming behind it. The Western-style breakfast is delicious and hearty, and the service is attentive, making people forget to leave.

We stayed here for two nights to rendezvous with some friends. The whole experience was amazing. The welcome we received was fantastic with a delightful lady showing us around and to our room. We booked a suite and it was clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, the hotel grounds kept immaculate. It's in a very rural location but just five minutes drive into Peebles. We were so sad when we had to leave.

There are not enough words to describe this magical place. First, the service was impeccable. I truly felt like royalty. Every last detail was thought of to make our stay perfect. The property is spectacular and perfect for a walk among the beautiful gardens. The house is beautiful and has so many lovely amenities. Our room was perfect with very comfortable beds that got turned down each night while we were at dinner. The bathroom had a clawfoot soaking tub that I could have stayed in forever. The good!!! Wow! We loved everything we ordered for the two dats we were there. Honestly, we didn't want to leave. They certainly set the bar high for our first two nights in Scotland. I will be back with the rest if my family for a longer stay. Thank you for your wonderful service.

Fabulous - there is no other word to describe Cringletie , We have stayed more than five times there and it gets better each time. Reception, rooms, beds. linen, service , dinner - everything was perfection . The seven course dinner was superb - packed full of flavour and every course was a delight. The chef deserves a medal for his work. The hotel is located in a wonderful location and the entire ambiance is serene and so peaceful. What an amazing hotel - we are so fortunate to have been able to experience it again.

What a Gem of a hotel. If you like the personal touches and a relaxing stay with a gorgeous room, very attentive staff and food that would match ANY Michelin star restaurant, then this hotel is for you. We recieved such a warm and friendly arrival from Harriet on arrival, who checked us in and showed us to our room. The room looked and smelt devine with a gorgeous view across the well manintained lawn surrounded by a burst of warm yellow from the daffodils that surrounded it. We spent the afternoon in our company in a beautiful but cozy lounge. Dinner was at 6.30pm. I would recommend that you start early due to the indulgent 7 or 9 course taster menu that Head Chef Robin and his small but hard-working team produce. Every dish was faultless and I very much hope we get back again to taste another menu. Every member of staff that we interacted with made us feel at home. Nothing was ever too much trouble so let me round off with thanking Bill and Ann (the owners) who run a beautiful hotel . Jenny GM and Hubert - restaurant. Thank you all. We will be back again. 10/10

Real treat. We stayed at the Cringletie on the Sunday Taster Package in a Classic Room. 7 courses with paired wines was absolutely delicious. Room was lovely too. Staff were attentive and professional. We would recommend a visit to this little gem of a place in the Scottish Borders.

I stayed with a friend recently and couldn’t fault this hotel. From the incredible 5 course evening meal to the very friendly and welcoming staff this was a real treat. We stayed in Traquair (the disabled twin room) which was very comfortable with a huge bathroom. The surrounding area was beautiful and I would definitely return.

Lovely visit to Cringletie, for family weekend. Lots of really lovely homely touches, and a warm welcome. We were particularly grateful for the care that was taken for my daughter who is vegan. Even the shortbread in the room was vegan. Dinner was a fabulous experience for us all and the service was superb. This was our 2nd stay and we hope to be back again.

Beautiful setting for this wonderful hotel. From the minute we walked through the door, we felt relaxed. All staff were very friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff made every effort to make us comfortable. Also, the owner spoke to us and other guests, which was a nice touch. Food was delicious. We hope to return.
