Just returned from a short break at the Park Hotel. This was our first visit to this hotel and we would definitely return. The rooms were comfortable and the staff were helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was restful and homely whilst still providing the facilities of the nearby Hydro.

My hubby and I just spent five fabulous nights at Cringletie House on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. We brought our Bedlington Terrier along with us and it’s fair to say that he wasn’t just tolerated, he was very much welcomed! The food was exceptional. We enjoyed the best porridge we’ve ever eaten (it’s served plain but you can add fresh cream, whisky prunes, salt, sugar and as much whisky as you want because you get given the decanter!) The seven course dinner menu each night was beautifully presented and delicious. Our room was very comfortable and contained everything we could possibly need. The house and gardens are very well cared for and stunning. What we appreciated the most though was the staff. What a great team of friendly, knowledgeable, professional and efficient people. We didn’t use our car once we arrived and enjoyed walking into Peebles and Eddleston along the cycle path. We really can’t fault our holiday and would love to return in the Summer months.
