Pet Friendly Hotels in Yan'an

The homestay was very cozy, and I was amazed at the owner's kindness and warmth; she is extremely welcoming to foreigners. She even cooked us two meals, both of which were delicious. In addition, there is a small trail network behind the homestay which leads up a canyon to a seasonal waterfall, which was totally unexpected and a beautiful surprise. We will definitely come back the next time we are in the area and would highly recommend.

San Mao and Xiao Yan, a friendly and helpful husband and wife team, owners of the hotel, served as our tour guides. San Mao expertly led us to the most captivating sights, while Xiao Yan provided valuable insights and answered our queries. Their culinary skills shone through as we savored our meals at their restaurant. They also offered wild honey, a delightful treat that her father had discovered in a tree. The hotel’s prime location near the town entrance, ticketing counters, and tour coach embankment made it an ideal choice. The rooms were clean, bright, and spacious, providing a comfortable stay.

First, my booked room was somehow broken, and I was moved to a windowless room, which they said was an upgrade. I figured I'd make do for one night, and the lack of a window wouldn't bother me. However, the room's design was seriously flawed, prioritizing useless decoration over practical function and causing endless annoyance. Take the tree in the room, for example; its decoration clashed terribly with the rest of the room. I don't know what the designer was thinking. The lights on the tree were connected to the bathroom, requiring guests to turn them all on or off. The windowless room was already very dark, and having to keep the lights constantly on or off was a clear violation of the principle of functionality over aesthetics, resulting in a terrible user experience. This was especially problematic for guests who needed some light to fall asleep in a windowless room, and there seemed to be no effective solution. I hope this room will be redesigned, starting with removing the gaudy, non-functional tree. I also suggest the hotel use more yellow lighting for decoration, instead of the slightly unpleasant green and purple. Overall, the design was poor, the service was okay, and the breakfast was rather simple. I stayed there for one night, but I didn't really understand the hotel's design.

This place is super convenient, just 300 meters from Hukou Tourist Center! The owner is incredibly welcoming and hospitable. The room was clean, tidy, and smelled fresh. They also offer a budget-friendly breakfast for only 10 yuan per person. When we left, the owner even gave us some local wild dates as a gift. Highly recommend! 👍👍👍

The guesthouse is a five-minute walk from the scenic area ticket office. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. The owner was very welcoming and helped us carry our luggage upstairs. The yard can park five or six cars. We ate at the guesthouse; the mother-in-law's cooking was excellent. Breakfast was ten yuan per person, including two vegetable dishes, an egg, a steamed bun, and the highly recommended millet porridge. If possible, they could upgrade the TV to a larger one. For a one-night stay at Ganquan Grand Canyon, Feng Meizi's place offers great value.

And the price is not high, it is very cost-effective to use the points deduction. It is also very easy to find after getting off the highway, and it is very close. The parking lot is on the underground floor, and you can take the elevator directly upstairs. There are a lot of luggage, and the girl at the front desk came down to pick it up. The service is pretty good! One night in Yan'an, very satisfied!

It is convenient to park your car at the hotel and visit the scenic area. The cleanliness is acceptable. At least the beds are new and look clean. The facilities in the room are average and sufficient, but you can't expect the same as in a big hotel. Eating is quite convenient. The boss can cook whatever you want and you don’t have to go around. The dinner tasted OK, not particularly delicious but not bad either, just OK. Breakfast is 10 yuan per person, simple, and the fried side dishes are more appetizing, I like it a little more.
