Petra Moon Hotel

Petra Moon Hotel (not to be confused with Petra Moon luxury hotel which is adjacent) sits approx 250m from the main entrance to Petra Visitor hotel and Museum. The hotel is very comfortable and exceptionally clean, with good showers, and amenities. Both the bar and restaurant are on the 5th floor, as is the swimming pool (10x5m), jacuzzi and sunning area. The bar is dry but has a selection of non-alcoholic beers, non-alcoholic wines and cocktails. Breakfast is excellent (at 12JOD/person if not included in package). Both the reception and staff were very helpful and friendly and let us store our bags after checkout (and shower by the pool) after a long day at Petra while waiting for the bus to Amman (that leaves in the car park behind the visitor centre). We had an excellent stay, and the hotel is highly recommended

The hotel is right outside of Petra entrance. 5 minutes walk into the archeological site. Overall, location, service, cleanliness, food are excellent!

It's perfect place for my family to stay at reasonable price. It's very close to Petra enterance and breakfast was really good. Small details were well arranged for customer.

Hotel is supery located just in front of Petra visitor centre which makes things very convenient. It is also a short walk to nearby convenience shops, restaurants, forex etc if you need anything urgent. The hotel is maintained well, well lit and have a cozy ambiance which provides a good rest after a long day in Petra.

The door in my bathroom is a broken one. Didn’t have time to report during my stay, but obviously the maintenance team may work harder. The location is the best, and all the drinks & little snacks in the mini bar are complimentary! It was a bit chaotic during the check-in as it was a busy hour. i

The image shows a pool. There was no pool. Most facilities are shared with the Petra Moon luxury hotel less than 2 minutes away. This includes the spa which was limited but fine. The breakfast was good, but being a 2 minute walk from the Petra visitors centre was the best thing about this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful

Extremely close to the front entrance of Petra with a free car park behind and to the side of the hotel. Breakfast is pretty much the same everyday, but pancakes and eggs are made fresh, which was appreciated.

We arrived in Petra with suitcases via the JETT bus, so minimizing the distance we had to walk with luggage was a key consideration — and this hotel was a great fit. Pros: • Excellent location — about a 2-minute walk from the JETT bus drop-off point and the Petra Visitor Center; nearby there are restaurants, souvenir shops, and small grocery stores. • Communicating with staff in English was fine, and they were friendly. • Good variety in the breakfast buffet. • The room included a sofa, which was a nice touch. • The room was quiet. • Heating/air-conditioning worked well. • A large bottle of water was provided in the room. Cons: • The door stopper on the floor was placed in the narrow walkway next to the sofa — I accidentally kicked it a few times, which was painful. Not the best design choice.
