The establishment was very beautiful and serene, and everything was clean and very luxurious. The shops in the surrounding area were very traditional, which was lovely to experience, and there were many convenience stores dotting the surrounding area. The staff was excellent and super helpful and kind. They also helped us to arrange several tours, our favorite being the island hopping tour. The one downside to this place is that the restaurants and the amenities were very expensive. Prices were inflated, sometimes quadruple the amount outside so we saw many people frequenting places off the premises. My recommendation would be to have more variety of places to eat and drink that won’t break the bank and I’m sure this establishment will have many more customers. To add, the breakfast was absolutely phenomenal, some of the best I’ve ever had in my life. It’s definitely worth checking out and we will definitely stay here again.

Regent Phu Quoc, a 5-star resort, had an amazing and attentive staff that exceeded our expectations. However, the resort lobby was uncomfortably hot due to its open space concept upon arrival. Despite this, our room was fantastic and included a private pool. Unfortunately, the resort layout lacked open space and ocean views, making everything feel closed and stuffy. Additionally, there was no airport transfer provided, which is disappointing given the resort's high price point compared to other resorts. On the other hand, the food was the highlight of our stay, with some dishes being hits and others misses. The beef and chicken pho were amazing, but the egg benedict was not good. Overall, while we had an amazing experience and would consider returning, we don't think it's worth the high price for most occasions.

After being stuck at home for the past 3 years and watching replays of Getaway, we finally got out of Australia and arrived in Phu Quoc. Stepping out of the taxi we were warmly greeted by the concierge staff with the traditional 'Xin Chao' as they escorted us into the beautiful Movenpick Resort foyer. Immediately my wife and I felt relaxed. This was what we had missed during COVID, escaping our busy lives and enjoying such beautiful resorts. Check-in was seamless and we were in our room in no time. I had an issue with our room and spoke to Linh at reception who was so nice and professional, and quickly resolved the situation. And in a flash we were by gorgeous pool and enjoying tropical cocktails. We spent the next 3 days laying around the pool, in the sun loungers looking out into the ocean, taking naps in the hammocks between the palm trees and enjoying the ocean breeze as we watched the sunsets. The Spa was amazing and one of the best we've experienced. The pre-spa sauna, stream room and spa baths was sooo relaxing. Breakfast was a feast to the eyes with delicious authentic Vietnamese food and a great international selection. The afternoons were spent devouring all sorts of enticing desserts during Chocolate Hour (and all for free, what a bonus!) We loved spending our evenings at Aura Beach Club as Vu was so helpful and attentive. He even got the whole team to sing Happy Birthday to me which was such a pleasant surprise. When we returned to our room, Linh and the reception team had organised a birthday cake and some gifts from the Resort. So sweet! It's things like this that make our holidays even more memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed Movenpick Resort Phu Quoc and the wonderful staff that made it so special. We will be back! and will bring all our families and friends :)

Excellent service, convenient location, and extremely helpful staff. I'm in utter love with this place. The décor of the brand-new room was sophisticated and elegant. The hotel employees provided excellent service, which made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Leila, in particular, was kind and thoughtful in setting everything up for us, and she always comes with a big, genuine smile, which makes us even happier. She went above and above to make my stay as enjoyable as possible by planning my routes to visit various locations on my own, explaining in detail how to get there, and reserving my ticket to the airport. We want to express our gratitude for making our experience spectacular and incredibly memorable. Overall experience can be expressed in 3 syllables Fa Bu Lous, can’t wait to go back.

Stayed here for 5 nights in January and after the first day was so close to checking out and staying somewhere else as it just wasn't up to standard. Whilst the hotel looks great and the location right on the beach is amazing, it lacks many things that allow it to have a 5 star service. Firstly, the staff speak very little English making it difficult to communicate and creates a massive service barrier. The location is quite isolated which to be honest is ok but the hotel has very limited options for food and drink. There is ”two restaurants” but only one menu to serve room service, the beach restaurant and the main restaurant. The beach restaurant stops serving food at 330pm and closes at 10pm. The main restaurant only do a buffet option in the evening. Service overall was very slow taking 30 to 40 mins on average to get food and drinks, a lot of which they often ran out of stock. Breakfast was great with lots of options but again we often waited 30 mins for tea and coffee which we would ask many times for. Rooms were lovely, clean and spacious with amazing views overlooking the beach. I went to the spa twice and had two full body massage. The massage was nice and relaxing but you are kind of rushed out afterwards. Overall a very impressive hotel to look at but in my opinion they don't deserve a 5 star rating as it fails service overall.
The villa is new and not far from the white sand beach and Sunset Town. You can rent a motorcycle to get around. Amie, the housekeeper, is super nice. She helps rent motorcycles and helps us find taxis when we go to far away places. The price is cheaper than taxi-hailing apps hahaha. She even helps us buy raincoats when it rains. The villa is very suitable for friends or big families to travel. I will come again next time if I have the opportunity! !

The swimming pool and beach was our most favorite facilities, others was ok. Beach water was clear under sunshine, better than the hotel we stayed on Ong Lang beach. We stayed in suite and the room furniture was a bit aged, but still worth the price. The hotel cater many tour group, but check in/out service was still fast and we were assigned at high level room per our request, thumbs up 👍🏻! Breakfast options were fair enough, love the Banh Mi. However, housekeeping staffs was quite inattentive to details, coffee stains was still found in washed cup!! We leave a note to ask for 2 water glasses but never got catered. Actually housekeeping standards was commonly low in this country no matter what hotel you stay in. The Italian and Vietnamese restaurants across street worth a try, and only short walking distance to a beachside restaurant. Quite convenient for family with kids.

Pros: - good location, walking distance to Grand World - low price, best if you don’t spend much time at the hotel and mostly out and about - clean and modern decor Cons: - no aircon in corridor and elevator, it can be very uncomfortable to step in the elevator on hot days - no room service, no service at pool area, no option to pay for food and beverage at check out. - minibar is empty, instant coffee and tea bags are available yet no milk. When we requested milk for our cup of tea, the reception staff advised we would need to go to the bar (ground floor) to purchase milk at own cost. Milk is essential and it has always been provided free of charge wherever we’ve been (Bali, Singapore, Australia, etc.) - mid-stay ROOM INSPECTION. This is very UNPLEASANT practice to Westerners and should be stopped. Not sure if this is normal in Vietnam, but it is very displeasing and annoying to us (Australians). We often stayed a few weeks to months in Bali and other Asian countries, we’ve never had room inspection where 2 staff entered our room, 1 of them walked around the room pretending to check the skirting board with a screwdriver while the other was casing the room (it was obvious that they wanted to check to room). - poor English proficiency. Only one reception staff can speak English well, the rest of the staff don’t. My husband was quite frustrated during our stay because he couldn’t communicate with staff. We’ve stayed in Bali and other Asian countries, all of their staff are fluent in English including security and housekeeping staff. - lack of attention to food safety. Signage is very small. No cover when the meals bought outside to the pool area. Food was not kept at optimum temperature can cause bacteria to grow to dangerous levels that can cause illness. - lack of knowledge about beverage. Staff didn’t understand my husband’s order of Bourbon + Cola (very common drinks to Westerners) and advised they don’t have Bourbon. When my husband went to the bar with the staff, there was a big Bourbon bottle sitting on the shelf! - lack of customer service. Staff was not attentive to customers, my husband had to walked to the restaurant to get staff attention when we wanted food and drinks while we were at the pool. Staff should walk around and simply check in with customers. Staff didn’t greet customers when they walk past, again when we were in Bali and other Asian countries, their staff (everyone including housekeeping staff) always said good morning, good afternoon or good evening. - FACIAL BIOMETRICS RECOGNITION was an entry requirement to enter buffet breakfast. This should be disclosed in booking description including third-party websites like Agoda, Booking.com, etc. No information on Facial Biometrics Recognition are found anywhere or has ever been communicated to us prior to checking in. If we have known, we would stay elsewhere for sure (we will request that our data are permanently deleted from their system and we suggest that you do the sam

I travel the world with Marriott brand only, this is the very disappointed Sheraton Phu Quoc that I happen to stay, I booked a family suite oceanfront during June1-5,2023. This review written on June 2,2023. It isn’t 5 star resort. Marriott Should not put their name on it, because it degrade the quality of Marriott Brand. We check in during lunch and went to Garden restaurant, the lunch buffer have nothing worth to eat so we order from menu total of 5 hot dish for 5 of us, only 3 dish come out 20 minute, 1 dish come out 45 minute later and final dish never come. So 1 of us can’t have lunch. We lelf the restaurant and came to our SUITE all the keys doesn’t work so after the trip to front desk again finally we got in the suite. The room temperature was at 25C degrees and keep go up. Call the maintenance no help there The resort is old and need upgrade ASAP including AC units. We went down to front desk and request to change the room, they told us to leave our phone number so they can contact us regarding the room transfer. We never received the call, we have to went out to find a decent place for our dinner because we are not sure about restaurant dinner buffet!!! So by the time get to the room we too tired to call and bother the front desk. I am a Platium Bonvoy of the Marriott. It mean I stay at least 50 nights per year with Marriott. This is the first time I feel like I got cheat out of 5 stars resort. So today I will ask them to cancel the rest of the stay and move to another resort, hopefully JW Marriott in the other end of the island. My review is not prejudiced about the staff or Food not even the normal wear and tear of the resort but mainly with the management team. On the small note to resort management director. You should try your own food in the restaurant including the ice cream in the snack bar, I think the Ice cream was there too long. I wish all the best to my fellow guess and hope that you will be better luck then me. After my first impression with The 5 star resort. I would like update my review. Just one action of the top team management in breakfast room, it change my opinion and I am very appreciated his customer services. His name is Mr Hoang. He fresh up my family’s morning with an offer a cup of Green Tea, when services like that happen, it took out of all the bad experience and show you how great the staff can brighten your day. Furthermore in the long conversation he explains to me the new management just took over last September 2022 and in process of remodel the resort. Also the staff had been trained and continue to update their customers services. Therefore I would like to update my review with a 5 stars and continue to believe in Marriott branding Sheraton Phu Quoc Long Beach. This is on my day 4 at the resort and I am very happy to share with everyone. Thank you for read my review and after all we have a happy ending. My best wish remain with the staff of the Hotel specifically with the Breakfast room management

PPatrickLA recommended hotel when you plan to stay in Phu Quoc during your vacation. The staffs here are friendly and take care of the guest. A great hospitality given by the front office - Ms My. She really done a great job and very taking care of me during my stay. Definitely, I will go back to stay with this property!
My memories is phu quoc go with family travel holidays. Wyndham garden hotel comfortable and nice place, room is clean. Breakfast is good, staff Thuong friendly and good service, near the grand world, vine Oder and safari. I had a wonderful time family at Phu Quoc.
TTamerenMy stay started off with a bumpy start. With a few things going wrongs but the staff and management were amazing and tried their best to accommodate my needs. Everyone is friendly and helpful and the location is amazing. The food is delicious and the breakfast caters for everyone. There is also a great seafood bbq buffet as well as a band that are really good. Staff are super friendly and ready to help you with anything. At the end I ended up having an awesome trip and would definitely stay here again.
GGuest UserFairly a good stay and decent spread of breakfast buffet except for the airport pickup mishap. We called the hotel and confirmed the pickup time at 16:10 following the hotel schedule. However, we waited for the hotel shuttle van for 2 hours but unfortunately it did not show up. Explained to the reception about this issue however he did not seem to care much or maybe did not have the authority to offer a solution. The manager should have handled the situation in a better way at least by providing a room upgrade to make up for this inconvenience. Since we waited at the airport for a long time and we ended up paying an overcharged rate for a taxi. I tried to reach the manager multiple times however the reception staff informed me he was not available.
GGuest UserI had an absolutely fantastic stay at this resort. Everything was top-notch, from the impeccable service to the beautiful accommodations. All the front desk staff and buggy staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The rooms were luxurious and well-maintained. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!
GGuest Userwhat a wonderful resort! the whole area is beautiful, facilities are well-managed and guest reception & service are fantastic! (special thanks to my manager Sunny and DAI NGUYEN). I've also enjoyed activity programs like yoga class with kindly teacher (for free of charge!). Thank you for giving me wonderful time ever!
GGuest UserBeing totally beach people , I and my husband like to visit many islands and beach places . After Maldives ,Thailand ,Malaysia ,Andaman ,Sri Lanka , Goa and Kerala we ended up in Phu quock Vietnam . We did last minute bookings and hadn’t researched much about where to stay etc but luckily we stumbled upon this hotel . The room had such an amazing view of the ocean , that we didn’t feel like going out to do any activities for an entire day . You can just sit and relax in the room and watch the sunset while rolling in your bed . And the Bath tub experience was just amazing too with such a great view and effective bathing salts and sipping away on cooling drinks . We could feel paecful from within If you want to unwind and just take a break from your busy life it’s perfect The hotel is also located in the main area of the island from where all the day activity pick ups happen . Very close to the night market walkable distance . It’s equidistant from the north and south of the island where you may like to visit . The staff were very friendly and ready to help in any way be it booking our diving tour , arranging for a bike ,money exchange or arranging for pure veg food which isn’t easily available in Vietnam . Only draw back would be that it doesn’t have direct access to a Sandy beach but the views more than compensate for this But long beach is very close by . All in all a very good experience
GGuest UserThe resort has alot of potential with an exclusive beach, swimming pool and eloquent rooms (some with great views). Breakfasts are great. The manager was good and takes pride in the resort, however when he was not around in the afternoons and evenings service was rare and hard to find. You have to actively go look for restaurant staff to place an order or pay. The restaurant could be alot more profitable if staff actively removed plates and asked clients if they could get them anything e.g dessert, drinks. They charge a service fee, but with little service.
It advertises a gym, but equipment is in disrepair, they should not advertise facilities which are not functional.
There is not much around the resort in terms of restaurants, bars and shops. It is also not an easy location to get to, but yet we found the reception unhelpful in getting transport.
All in all the resort could be great, but service needs to be improved.
OOLEKSANDRAI had a conflict with this hotel, I didn’t stay there and my money was not refunded. When I tried to report this to trip.com service team and they contacted the manager, the manager made up some details of our conflict, lied to trip.com that I “shouted loudly and scolded the staff”, which is absolute nonsense. The thing is the receptionist who is the only staff member left the hotel, while i was waiting for him to give me motorbike for rent, which has been agreed before. He didn’t say a word to me, he just disappeared. Later , when I contacted the hotel by number from their business card, the other person has told me, that the receptionist is her husband and he went to another hotel to help other guests check in. They have several hotels and don’t have staff, so the receptionist guy does shuttle runs between hotels. Just for the note, the description of the hotel says 24 hours front desk. Empty front desk.
The biggest problem is that the manager, the wife of the receptionist, has told trip.com that I was being impolite, because I made my decision to not stay at the hotel, where I would constantly need to wait for the service (due to their problems of staff shortage). And she lied, said I was yelling at staff. Which staff, I don’t know. The guy, who btw doesn’t even speak English, was not there. How could I yell to anyone, if I was all alone at the lobby waiting for the receptionist. And when I realized, this hotel is not where I would be comfortable, I cancelled the booking and I told the manager that I did so. And left the key. I wouldn’t think I won’t be able to get my money back.
The manager is a liar.
And they didn’t give me refund.
TTonyctca1We are here now and I have read some of the poor reviews. I don't understand them. Rooms are great, pool is clean, tiled and grouped. Staff are so helpfull and friendly. Rooms are cleaned every day, bathrooms clean and showers are top notch compared to some we have stayed in to get here. Absolute value for money with picturesque views and all amenities you could need. The walk to the main street is a bit of a walk but not a hike. Take my word for it and don't take any notice of the bad reviews. THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC VALUE FOR MONEY. Only comment is breakfast could be a bit better, but not worth not booking because of it.
