The hotel is in an original building from the foundation of the town, very interesting and characteristic. The location is great, near all of the touristic attractions but also very quiet and reserved.
Didi cannot drive into the ancient city (we didn’t know that in advance), so we had to walk a bit with our luggage on the cobblestone streets. The hotel staff can help book a car that can arrive to their courtyard, which is a lot more convenient.

A very beautiful lodging providing very authentic ancient Chinese living experience with its authentic Chinese architecture but equipped with modern bathroom conveniences. The dining area is exquisitely Chinese. Very soothing too. Very helpful staff in a very beautiful ancient city.

Perfect hotel for a visit in Pingyao, in the old center. This 280+ years old hotel is gorgeous. You dive in the old china and enjoy modernity in the same time ! What an experience. Poeple very nice, help you for every task you may need. I recommend for any stay in Pingyao!

If you wish to have a real taste of Pingyao Old Town, then this is the place to stay. A beautifully renovated courtyard dwelling conveniently located in the Old Town will take you back in time. The rooms are comfortable (- and heated in the winter) with classic furniture, and the staff are very friendly. The restaurant serves a hearty breakfast, and a tasty dinner, both with a choice of Chinese and Western fare. Highly recommended.

The staff had a very good service attitude, they were polite and courteous, and there was nothing wrong with it. After all, it was an old house, and the facilities were relatively simple. The store took the initiative to upgrade the room type, and the two families were given a suite. The small courtyard was very quiet, and it was rare to stay there during the May Day holiday.
