Checkin Concordia Playa

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. They sell it as a 4-star property, but it could barely pass as a poor 3-star. The breakfast and dinner are decent, like everywhere else in the world — nothing exceptional. The room itself feels like a trip back in time. The windows are taped and dirty, and it doesn’t matter whether they are open or closed — the noise still comes through. The bathroom door keeps opening by itself. The water temperature constantly changes. In our room, we only had two sets of towels (far below the standard of a 3-star hotel). The cleaning staff do their best — the beds are made every day and you receive two towels daily. The beds constantly slide apart from each other, so at least once per night you need to get up and push them back together. There is only a thin sheet on the bed, and the room is too cold — especially at night. During the day, when the air conditioning is on, it is very noisy. The balcony is dirty. The entire hotel needs repainting. There are brown stains around the air-conditioning vents. The bedside lights are falling apart and have been patched up multiple times with regular super glue. This hotel is fine only if you need a place to sleep when you’re really exhausted. If you actually want to enjoy your stay, choose another option in the area.

Appalling!! Negatives - The hotel is basic, is dirty, the sofa in the room was badly stained. We paid for half board but on viewing what was on offer we didn’t eat there. The food was horrific!! No such thing has cleanliness and food not even labeled. Pool was a waste of space, swim at your own risk. Positives - Location, also the shower head had good water pressure. Nothing else!! The price was cheap for half board and for some reason the reviews I read before I went were quite positive. I realise now I was probably reading the wrong hotel reviews because I wouldn’t stay again if it was free!!

Stayed here for a week solo which I booked last minute. Room was perfect nice views from balcony, with the hotel being in a great location. Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Reception staff were able to answer any query I had and had good knowledge of the local area, bar staff made excellent drinks and cleaning staff cleaned my room well. Enough of all groups of staff spoke perfect English too Food was ok and the pool area was nice too. Would recommend.

The window in the room was dirty and the curtain was torn. The sofa bed was wrinkled and dirty and looked like it had been taken from the garbage. In the bathroom the ventilation hole was full of mold and dust. The ventilation duct hadn’t been cleaned for years - at least not since the bathroom walls were last painted because the paint partially covered the ventilation duct hatch. This is why the smell in the bathroom was awful. The dining room is a schokingly uncomfortable basement trap. The quality of the food varies: sometimes almost good but mostly monotonous and cold. Changing the places and serving dishes of the food does not improve the quality of the food. Only multilingual staff at the reception- maybe that’s why the service was a bit stiff and didn’t leave a good impression. The level of cleaning also varied. Clean sheets only when claimed to the reception. Positives: the hotel is perfectly located and the beds in the room were good. But definitely not four stars hotel - two stars would be the highest rate from us.

It in a good condition but old stylish, not modern. Staff are excellent except one lady receptionist who worked on the xmas day was so arrogant to me when I complained how we missed dinner and breakfast on the 24th night and 25th morning because of lack of information on arrival. She was not able to handle our concerns and claimed that it was our fault, no apologises. However every other things went smoothly, good xmas and new year celebrations at the restaurant, well decorated, glammed. Food was ok Overall, the hotel needs a bit of upgrade.
