Well situated for city centre, just by the cathedral square and shopping area, but you may have to walk to it as there is no vehicular drop off outside the hotel. The main floors are reached by a small 4 person (with luggage) lift from reception, however, some rooms are reached by a small flight of steps from the main floors. The rooms are arranged a large central oval space, so guests in the restaurant/ reception level talking loudly can be heard in all rooms. The rooms are large with good storage space, 2 double beds, a safe, TV (Spanish channels only), wonky table and chairs and a large bathroom with a really small bath, but shower was good. However, a lot of sockets were loose in the walls, the lights not being particularly bright, compared to the Lima hotels. Breakfast is taken by reception is mainly a continental style but a few types of hot eggs were available and items were only slowly replaced as they ran out. We ate out in the local area as there are many cafes/restaurants about.

We stayed here as part of an Exoticca package. The rooms are small and poorly sound insulated. Heat is supplied by a small room heater and keeps the room relatively ok. The shower is just weird. There is a high tub wall to step over with no grab bars. Once inside, the tub has a step in it that makes showering an adventure. Breakfast is minimal and not refreshed often. But the biggest issue is service. The bathroom door hinges squeeked terribly when you move the door. We asked the front desk to have it oiled in the morning and it wasn't done by the time we returned. We asked again and was asked "do you want it now". Three hours later there was no repair.

This hotel was pre booked via Exoticca for my trip around Peru. The Good * Right near to the main square, but peaceful. * Clean room. The bad * Breakfast was very, very limited. Fruit, bread, fried rice? * Rooms very dated and no outwards facing window. * Although the bathroom appeared to be clean it smelt fusty. * Photos of rooms misleading. Rooms very small.

very well located by the main plaza internet was awful, so dont count on it unless you want to sit in the lobby rooms were large and beds were comfy and warm. bathroom - needed new showerhead breakfast - weak coffee, hard boiled eggs and rolls, cereal, fresh juice. Stores do not open before 9 am so no place to buy a good capuccino or latte nearby. its a beautiful boutique hotel but there were lots of steps that made it difficult to take the luggage up and down steps. staff was helpful.

Excellent location, friendly staff and nice rooms. Just suggest you ask for a room off the street side, it was noisy at times, otherwise strongly recommend.
