A wannabe three-star hotel but in fact two-star. The rooms seem new and from the pictures look nice. The truth is that it is poorly equipped and “empty”. The work desk is miniscule. They do not have a luggage support and the front desk does not even know what this is…I had to use the ironing board to keep my carry-on not sitting on the floor. The bathroom did not have towels…I needed to go down to the reception to ask for the towels. Never arrived! After a lot of complaining the next day I got a better equipped room but by then it was to late to change a horrible first impression The room service menu has five items to choose from and takes forever to arrive and once it finally came it was cold and tasteless. Breakfast is only average. The AC is descent…

Wonderful staff who allowed us to have a later check out for our flight. Super comfortable and lovely rooms. Swimming pool was lovely with the hot sun and the showers were amazing. There was a fire alarm in the middle of the night but the staff were really helpful and sorted it quickly and efficiently.

Deixou bastante a desejar.

I'm sad to say it was a bad experience. Location terrible, homeless sleeping & peeing every 5m = terrible smell on the streets. We booked 2 rooms, it was confirmed we'd be staying side-by-side, but in the end we were put on different floors... Rooms were quite dirty and old, walls & furniture damaged. 1 of the bed sheets had brown stains!! Shower cabin old, with hairs & flies, black moll/stuff on corners & junctions, water was flowing slow!!! 1 of the rooms had 2 ACs, whereas the other only 1. There was no gym, nor spa. It is under construction/renovation, even though when booking it says there are. From other reviews, seems this has been ongoing for months. 1 day electricity went off in the morning and didn't come back until late in the night!!! My sister-in-law was trapped in the elevator with her baby for a while, we've been all day using the stairs up/down 5 floors. In the night, we had no battery left on our phones and they didn't propose or made much effort to offer a solution; while they were having electricity in some parts of the building (reception, for instance). They really showed no concern or cared about our well-being, nor did they send any letter or explanation the day after... I tried to talk to them several times, in a very friendly and polite manner, no solution ever. They didn't care about any of the incidents, nor followed-up. No initiative or proactive attitude to make our stay better. (from conversations I overheard, other guests complained also) Avoid room 505. Even better, avoid this hotel..

I stayed in the hotel for the commitment I had because it was close. As it was one night only, I chose to book. The room was very dirty, sabble paper open in the pier, all dirty. 2 towels, 1 was acceptable and the other was completely swept and damaged. I put it on the floor because I had no courage to use it. The bed is horrible and noisy, and the dressers too. Have you seen a short shirt? Yes, it was so much to cover up to half the body and thinnerly impossible. I had nothing but that shirt to cover. Summary: I didn't sleep anything, super discomfortable. It's all about all the rooms, bad clothing. Coffee is half mouth, but in any case I've seen worse. The only positive point is that the reception official called ”D”. When we arrived at the hotel, we were surprised by the information that the system was out of the air and would take a little, then the same offered us 2 courtesy drinks for the event. The only thing I liked at the hotel, but you're only reserved in the last case if you don't want to get angry.

I actually had 2 comfortable nights at this hotel but their website just kept on charging my credit card over and over. Thankfully, it showed up on my phone, so I was able to inform the staff and show them the receipt at the time. A very helpful front receptionist said he would contact the finance department and that when I checked out early the next morning' it would all have been rectified. When I went to reception, no one could help and I was told to wait for the manager who would be on duty after my flight left..... So far, no response from this hotel and no money back.I've contacted my credit card provider and so I now have to battle to get my money back. My experience of checking in was in I’m afraid to say, truly awful. I arrived at 5am and the older gentleman checking me in was ignorant. Apparently, he was the ‘English speaker’ on duty and he completely ignored me when I asked a question. I received no information whatsoever about breakfast times, where facilities in the hotel were and he didn’t even have the good manners to look up at me when I checked in, he just opened his hand for my passport. He started huffing and getting obviously irritated when I asked if it were possible to arrange a later breakfast as I wouldn’t be getting to bed u TIL 6am, despite having to pay for the hotel for the night before. The guy actually just ignored me until I asked him directly and he didn’t even look up and said ‘no’ in a really annoyed manner. Great customer service, thanks! Thankfully, when I had need to speak to reception staff during the day, this was a much better experience. I spoke to a young woman and on another occasion a young uni man who were friendly and helpful, so much so, I decided to stay again on my return trip the following week. That was up until they kept charging my credit card, firstly through the own hotels website that said the transaction failed but charged the credit card and then again when duplicate monies had been charged by the hotel. Mistakes happen. It it how quickly and satisfactorily they are sorted that makes the difference between staying there again and avoiding it. Would I recommend staying here? Yes, breakfast is good and the hotel was clean and quiet on the 19th floor. It is dated and could do with updating but it is not bad value when they don’t empty your bank account! Just pay in cash if you’re staying there and avoid that nasty old man on reception who works at night.

Excellent
GGuest UserPositive points: great location inside the shopping mall, easy access, easy check-in, VERY good breakfast, good bed, clean room.
Bad points: During my stay the shower didn't get hot, the technician came to the room, turned on the heater and it still didn't get hot. The towels were very old, worn, frayed.
But overall I recommend the hotel and would stay there again.
GGuest UserBeautiful Hotel from room views and the the pool side and the garden beachfront so relaxing 🌅🌇 breakfast Is everything good.🥐🍳 wonderful stays disabled access ♿ toilet, elevator 🛗 so cool haha I was just confused the turnings round elevator abc number anyways on the the room.arw in circles too ☺️ probably it's the designs infrastructure is cute tallest building I love everything and would choose this hotel when comes to Rio de Janeiro don't skip to stay and experience this paranomic views, the hotel stuff are really nice the ladies ,the doorman and even the one helps our luggage the front parking lot big space taxis are outside ready to go.ooh the area is closer to leblon and far from Copacabana,I stay from the Centro when I book the hotel don't have clue how far this hotel from where I was so better check the map me or Google haha 😂 so you won't feel lost like me.its very Forest mountain 🏔️ sides and it's cooler it's difirent sides of town I guess the resort is very outstanding from the area Have a shotp, have good foods, actually don't need to go out if you come for relaxing 🌅 massage, beach eat chilling stay in the morning the sunrise 🌅 so beautiful birds chirping so calm 🦜🦜🦜🦜 it's perfect hotel for me the room have smart light or just a multi colored lights haha makes it more night so romantic ❤️⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐❤️❤️❤️
GGuest UserI was hosted in this hotel last weekend - 02 to 03/07/2022. I have contacted me, and Mrs Vanessa has answered me, she kept the forgotten pieces, and the next day she sent me for Sedex with great delight and sympathy, and I would like to congratulate her on the sensitivity and empathy shown by that person. All the staff very careful and efficient.
NNickGodliman60We live near Rio, if we are going out for a night in Rio or taking Friends out this is where we stay! We book two rooms, One for us one for the nanny and children ! Spend the day by the beautiful pool, then walk the 5 minutes to the centre of Lapa in the evening! Its a fairly ”adult” hotel, but its suits us because of the location and the babies love the pool ! I would recommend staying here one or two nights to experience the nightlife, Spanish steps and the local vibe ! Breakfast is good but the ”oasis” factor is the big deal ! Downsides, checkin can be slow, but they promise me they are working on that, and for the price which is an absolute bargain most of the time makes this a no brainer ! The rooms by the pool are perfect and worth the little extra, the staff are great! I stay here once a month and cant recommend it highly enough ! Of course you get what you pay for, there is no parking, and it can get busy, but as someone who stays in hotels a lot, I recommend this as literally an oasis in the centre of the party district ! And its great value for money !
GGuest UserThe hotel accommodation experience was good, but the charges for a local one-day tour that my friends and I signed up for at the hotel were much more expensive than those at other hotels. We had the same tour guide and the same car. Our trip was 5 hours including 5 attractions and no meals. The cost was BRL450, other tourists in the same car stay in another hotel, the cost is BRL430 one day including lunch
GGuest UserBooking: Jan 13-18, 2022 Superior Ocean view The hotel requires covid vaccine certificates. Check-in was smooth. No hassles. The room is huge. King sized bed with 2 separate comforters. Wide windows overviewing the Copacobana beach. With built -in cabinets and secured storage locker. With minibar as well (not free, charge separately). No free bottled water. No slippers. Basic toiletries only (shampoo, bar soaps and bath gel) Toilet and bath has bathtub and 2 sinks. With bidet. Daily housekeeping services. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Wide varieties to choose from. From breads to desserts. Just don't expect that it will change everyday. Booking: Jan 18-19, 2022 Standard room 18m2 room. Small but decent. With mini var and ref as well (items charge separately). With window view overlooking the Cristo Redentor. Toilet and bath has no bathtub. Only 1 sink. With bidet Cons: 1. unstable wifi connections 2. Rooms look old 3. AC took so long to cool the room (at least 8-10 waiting hours before it cooled the room). 4. With additional tax per day payment upon check-out. They called it ”ISS”. Almost 18BRL per day. Better ask first so you wont be surprised in the end! 5. If you plan to extend, they dont allow in-person reservations. All reservations must be thru Agoda or Booking.com 6. Access to pool is for everyone. Even outsiders can enter it because no one even bothers to check or ask for their key cards.
NNicholasThis property has the potential to be amazing, but it needs a few key updates. The location is fabulous, the staff is excellent, and the restaurant is great both in terms of service and food quality.
The room was spacious, and the balcony was unbeatable. If you only speak English, you can get by staying here because all of the staff speak excellent English. We encountered a problem when the showerhead broke off, but the repairman came reasonably quickly to replace it, and he was very polite and not disruptive. We ordered room service, and Dom Rio, the hotel’s restaurant, delivered it quickly. I had the filet which was cooked properly to the correct temperature (medium rare). My fiancé had the alfredo pasta which she liked a lot. The breakfast had a huge selection, and everything tasted good.
The only thing keeping this hotel from earning top marks is the general state of much of the decor in the rooms. The curtains look shabby and dirty from moisture, and the wood of the cabinets is warped also. It is very hard to maintain a room that is constantly exposed to salt water and ocean breeze, but the materials chosen have not stood up to age.
I would recommend staying here if you are interested in staying in Barra at a nice but reasonably priced hotel, but don’t expect the finest luxury. Expect a very large, fairly clean room with a comfortable bed and an amazing view.
GGuest UserThe hotel is very well located, on Av. Princesa Isabel, right after the tunnel, right where Leme beach ends and Copacabana beach begins. The service at reception was exceptional, friendly and helpful. Mr. Carlos, who checked me in, was helpful, offering us the possibility to get into the room earlier (1:00 pm, when the time would be 3:00 pm), and stored our bags at reception while we walked around the city waiting for the room to be released. The room I stayed in (a standard twin) was good, not too big, but not too tight either, two wide single beds, with new and clean sheets, but a mattress too soft for my taste (for one night, it wasn't a problem , but spending more nights sleeping on it would be complicated). Smart TV, but it couldn't connect to the internet, so it was limited to cable channels (good selection of movie and series channels). The bathroom is spacious, but the shower stall is tight and the water is not at a constant temperature, you have to keep adjusting it to warmer or colder. The whole room looked as if it was already in need of renovation, and the bathroom even more so, but everything was in good working order. The room I stayed in was a connecting room (end 15) and the noise from the neighbor when using the bathroom was quite loud, nothing that constantly bothered me, but it is something to watch out for; in another room, maybe it was smaller. We didn't use the leisure area on the roof, we just visited it. It's small, and the pool is pretty cramped, but the view is beautiful. We didn't get breakfast either, so I can't comment on the food. Anyway, for the amount I paid and to spend just one night, it was a good option, without luxuries. For a longer stay, perhaps a better room would do, or another hotel.
RRangziyouzhifengyongyuanchuifuThe room is clean and tidy, with complete facilities. The water pressure of the bathroom tap is low and the breakfast is rich. The hotel is conveniently located, with many restaurants around. It is 70 meters away from the subway entrance. It is a recommended budget hotel for traveling in Rio de Janeiro
RRicardoHotel meets the basic requirements, but it is very well located, staff are very attentive, cleanliness is ok, I didn't use the pool, but it was very clean, the view from up there is beautiful.
