Took my mom out for a trip and saw Aling's live stream on Douyin. She came across as very practical, genuine, and unpretentious, so we decided to stay for a few days. Overall, it was a really good experience. As soon as you enter the courtyard, there's a water feature with koi fish, which gives a vibrant and lively feel. The two young men working there were incredibly attentive and patient in answering our questions, and their demeanor was very refined. We also had the good fortune to meet a compatible travel couple, Sister Liu and her husband, at Aling's place. It felt like such a serendipitous encounter for people from the north and south to meet here. In the evening, we gathered in Aling's courtyard to chat, drink tea, and share our travel experiences. It was truly delightful. Thank you, Aling, for bringing us all together!

**Excellent Stay with Outstanding Hospitality** I had a wonderful experience during my recent stay at Liqiang. From the moment I arrived, the level of service exceeded my expectations. The highlight of my visit was the exceptional hospitality provided by our host, Mr. Sing, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. He was incredibly caring and attentive throughout our stay, taking the time to help arrange our itinerary and providing valuable local insights. Mr. Sing's assistance was invaluable - he personally helped us with our luggage from the main entrance all the way up to the hotel, which we greatly appreciated. His local knowledge really enhanced our trip, as he introduced us to excellent dining options and guided us to the best shopping areas in the vicinity. The genuine care and attention to detail shown by our host Mr. Sing made our stay not just comfortable, but truly memorable. I would highly recommend Liqiang to anyone looking for a place that combines good accommodations with outstanding personal service. Thank you to Mr. Sing for making our visit so enjoyable!

I absolutely loved my stay at this charming boutique hotel. The hotel itself is very authentic and full of character, located right in the heart of Lijiang Ancient Town. My room had a beautiful panoramic view over the old town, which made the experience even more special. What impressed me most was the incredibly warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff genuinely cared about their guests and always tried to anticipate my needs. Whenever I needed anything, they responded immediately and did their best to help. It really felt more like staying in a lovely family home than in a typical hotel. One particularly thoughtful detail touched me a lot. When the staff found out that I had to leave for an excursion at 5 a.m., they prepared a special breakfast box for me the night before so that I could take it with me. Such a small gesture, but it showed how genuinely kind and attentive they are. They also served a lovely afternoon tea with different desserts and snacks, and the staff helped carry my luggage between the parking area and the hotel, which is especially convenient when staying inside the Ancient Town. Overall, this is a wonderful family-style boutique hotel with authentic charm, beautiful views and truly heartfelt hospitality. I felt very comfortable and well cared for throughout my stay and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

We love it here, it was our highlight in Lijiang Ancient Town, the hosts were all friendly, the rooms were as advertised, free airport pickup, complimentary tea and fruits, cleanliness was spotless, spacious and advanced. Had a small cute rooftop for the view. The hosts however were our highlight, we felt genuinely cared for, they ensured our safety and comfort. Every time we are clueless they never fail to give their best to help us, ensure we have a good time, provided all relevant information, gave tips so we don’t get scammed by extreme high prices. At the end of the journey we felt like we made friends along the way, would definitely recommend and come again. Big thanks to Ah Azhong for being our host, we were grateful for your service. The place is located near the north gate but there is a closer exit/shortcut about 10 - 15 mins that is more accessible towards the didi areas in comparison to the main location entrances in the map.

Banyan Tree Lijiang is absolutely beautiful! Even though it rained both days of our stay, the traditional Chinese courtyard felt perfectly in tune with the weather, offering a unique charm. Before booking, I was a little worried after seeing the hotel's pictures – I'm not sure how they took those promotional shots, because in person, the scenery far exceeded my expectations. All my photos were taken with a phone, so they're quite authentic. The service was also excellent; when my child wanted to sleep alone, they even set up an extra bed for them. The hotel offers plenty of activities to keep kids entertained, and there are small animals and many fruit trees on the property. The osmanthus flowers were already blooming during our visit, filling the air with their fragrant scent. On our last day, they even arranged a travel photoshoot for us. All in all, it was definitely worth it!

If you're visiting Lijiang's Shuhe Ancient Town, you absolutely cannot miss the amazing Guanxin Inn! The environment here is beautiful, with lush greenery in the courtyard and fresh air that instantly helps you relax. The bedding in the rooms is exceptionally comfortable – a good night's sleep here will leave you feeling completely refreshed! The service is incredibly thoughtful and attentive; no matter what you need, they'll help you out, making you feel as warm and welcome as if you were at home. Step outside the inn and you can immediately experience the ancient town's unique charm and leisurely pace of life, making it perfect for a relaxing vacation and capturing some great photos! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and immersive experience of Lijiang's culture!

We enjoyed the stay to the fullest. The receptionist was pleasant and helpful. As soon as we arrived, he served us with hot tea and organic peaches. He gave us tips on the area, and he knew the best deals. The hotel was clean, and the view was amazing. The hotel was located not too far from the entrance of Ancient City, which made it easy to walk to. He also gave us a free room upgrade, which had a great view of the scenery. Other than that, he helped book us a ride back to the train station at a much cheaper rate. I would definitely recommend this place to others 😁

The environment here is absolutely stunning, with a garden reminiscent of Hangzhou's West Lake. 😂 However, the room facilities are a bit dated. The hotel manager assured me they'll be improving them, and their attitude was excellent. I really hope the room lighting can be brighter! The water pressure was also a bit low. But the smart toilet was a nice touch! The twin beds can be pushed together, which is perfect for families traveling with children. Just a heads up, there are no children's bathrobes, so remember to bring your own! The front desk was very quick to deliver items and arrange transportation. We also didn't have to wait long for breakfast. My child bought fish food and bread multiple times at the restaurant to feed the animals. One of the staff members even gave us an extra bag and a discount – very kind! The swans in the lake are adorable! There were even three little baby swans, though they were a bit feisty, haha! 😄 This place is very close to Shuhe Ancient Town and the Wilderness Kingdom, making it ideal for families with kids. If you're worried about traffic, renting an electric scooter is a good option. Sitting outside for breakfast offers a beautiful view, as long as it's not raining. If you love staycations, this place is a must-try. The late check-out option is also a very thoughtful touch. There's a delicious mushroom hotpot restaurant in the nearby fashion center, within walking distance, which is very convenient. The hotel's paid activities are very reasonably priced and offer much better value for money than Club Med. However, the breakfast selection is just okay; if you're coming from Club Med, you'll definitely notice a difference in variety. 😅

I appreciated the convenient location and service, but the misleading tour arrangements, unexpected extra charges, and poor coordination made my overall stay frustrating and disappointing. Location: The hotel is in the southern part of the Old Town, which has fewer crowds than other areas. It’s quieter, still beautiful, and easily accessible. Service: The hotel offers one complimentary train/airport pickup if arranged in advance (for 3 night stay). The staff helped carry my luggage from the South Gate (cars can’t enter the Old Town) and provided welcome fruit upon request. Breakfast was as described, though the noodles were undercooked. The staff were responsive and helped me book tickets, including a trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain—but this is where things went wrong. Initially, the hotel staff quoted me a reasonable price that matched my research and said the schedule was flexible, I could spend as much time as I like. When I went to book, they suddenly told me I needed to pay about 200 RMB more because I was a foreigner—something I knew wasn’t true from my experience in other cities. They also said lunch was mandatory. I was short on time and wanted convenience, so I accepted the extra charges. Although I was told that jackets, oxygen bottles, and water would be provided, the driver took me and other Chinese tourists to a store to buy additional oxygen and energy drinks at four times the normal price. There I was told the “free” oxygen bottle was too small—information the hotel hadn’t mentioned. I bought one just in case but never needed it. I booked a sunrise tour with a 5 a.m. pickup, but we didn’t actually see sunrise at the mountain—partly due to weather, partly because the schedule wasn’t designed for it. The driver took me to Blue Moon Lake first, then the cable car, and the Impression of Lijiang show last. He kept saying I was short on time, so I needed to buy an additional ticket for battery car to get around and rushed through Blue Moon Lake without knowing how long the walk should take, only to end up waiting an hour at the cable car. After the show, we were taken to lunch, which had no menu—just a very basic hot pot shared with random strangers seated at the same table. The driver texted me to hurry up because other passengers were waiting and even told me that they didn’t pay for lunch because they knew it wasn’t good. That upset me even more. Overall, I felt rushed, overcharged, and misled, and the whole experience made the trip far less enjoyable. Amenities: The amenities were as described, but there was no daily housekeeping or towel replacement.

This was truly a unique experience! The price was great, the environment was lovely, and the service was incredibly thoughtful. The front desk lady meticulously explained how to see the 'sunrise over the golden mountains' and how to explore Lijiang. The best part? The guesthouse owner turned out to be from my hometown in Chongqing, and even our neighbor! What a small world, you couldn't make this up. We drank tea in the afternoon and had drinks together in the evening – they were so incredibly hospitable! 😍 Next time I'm in Lijiang, I'm definitely staying here again.
