If you want to avoid the crowds in Sanya, the Westin Shimei Bay is your top choice. It's surrounded by thousands of acres of green forests, with a long private beach, and the turquoise ocean and lush lawns make for perfect photo ops. The Heavenly Bed ensures a good night's sleep, and the kids' pool, beach paddleboarding, and evening bonfire create an amazing atmosphere. The only downsides are that the hotel is a bit old, so some facilities are showing their age, and driving is recommended for getting around. It's highly recommended for travelers seeking a quiet, slow-paced vacation. Service was a little slow to respond. There were too many stains on the room's sofa and a lot of dust on the bedside lamps. However, the villa views are absolutely beautiful, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The lobby bar was a bit chaotic. I recommend the villa with a sea view.

After comparing numerous online reviews, I chose Le Méridien over the Westin and was quite pleased with my decision. The courtyard-style lobby, with its coconut trees, ocean breeze, and bougainvillea, truly captured the island vibe. We booked a Splash Garden Suite with a private courtyard, which was fantastic. Every day, a family of calico cats would visit, and my daughter loved playing with them. Breakfast was available at both the Japanese restaurant and Horizon restaurant. Unfortunately, my son fell ill, so we didn't get to try Horizon, but we'll definitely make it up next time. There are two swimming pools, but we only went to the ocean-view one. It wasn't too crowded, and my little one had a wonderful time swimming. The hotel offers many family activities, including paid childcare services. We participated for a day and a half, and the kids absolutely loved it. Our butler, Lexie, was incredibly thoughtful. She checked in with us daily to see if we needed anything and provided prompt assistance – highly recommend! The front desk hotline was also excellent, with quick response times. I was very satisfied with that.

This is the first hotel I've stayed at in Wanning, and it's also my favorite. The sea view is absolutely beautiful! There are plenty of shops downstairs, including a convenience store, and car rental is also easy, making it more convenient than Shimei Bay. The environment is exceptionally good and very clean; I wake up feeling great every morning. I originally booked an inner sea view, but a lovely staff member upgraded me. This time, I stayed at a self-built house guesthouse in Tianxin Village near Riyue Bay. Overall, the experience was quite good, especially suitable for couples or young people! The room was spacious; it took about 10 minutes for the air conditioner to cool down completely. The keypad lock made check-in very convenient. The sheets and blankets were clean and fresh; Hainan's abundant sunshine not only dried them effectively but also naturally eliminated mites, making them soft and comfortable to sleep on. The room has a minimalist Japanese style and comes with a private small terrace—perfect for drying clothes, sitting and enjoying the countryside view, breathing in fresh air, and relaxing while chatting. The tatami design is very practical; there's no problem sleeping an extra adult. The guesthouse's common areas are also highlights: the floral window decorations on the first floor are perfect for taking photos, and the owner often enjoys tea and relaxation in the courtyard with his two dogs, ”Coco” and ”Hua Hua,” creating a very relaxed atmosphere. The owner is friendly and easygoing. The guesthouse offers electric scooters for rent (though the number is limited, so it's recommended to inquire in advance). It's conveniently located about a 10-minute drive to Riyue Bay (just be aware of potential traffic jams). The village is incredibly convenient, with a medium to large supermarket for daily necessities, several bikini boutiques, and affordable food along the way—a bowl of noodles costs only around ten yuan and tastes quite good. However, there are some minor suggestions: First, the guesthouse entrance lacks a clear sign and is somewhat hidden; adding a lighted sign would help prevent people from missing it at night. Second, there's no dedicated parking area; it's best to communicate with guests about their transportation plans beforehand, especially when there are many guests. Third, adding more dog-themed decorations would be helpful, as Coco and Hua Hua are adorable and would create a warmer atmosphere, especially since the rooms are quite large. Fourth, providing disposable toilet seat covers and toiletries would be beneficial. Fifth, the full-length mirror in the room looks like a funhouse mirror! There's actually a lot of potential for the guesthouse's success! In short, the service and atmosphere are key, and for the Riyue Bay area, this guesthouse is reasonably priced!

I stayed at two similarly priced hotels, one in Shenzhou Peninsula and one in Shimei Bay, both in Wanning. At Shenzhou Peninsula, I booked two 1.8-meter sea-facing rooms at 'XiXX'. At Shimei Bay, 'AiX' booked a twin room and upgraded me to a king-size bed plus a small bed overlooking the lagoon pool. Here's a multi-faceted review to help you choose (no ads). **Environment:** Since we rented a car, transportation wasn't an issue at either location. Both hotels boast beautiful surroundings, but you can't swim in the sea due to strong waves. The beach at 'Xi' is slightly better. **Facilities:** 'Xi' definitely has the edge over 'Ai'. 'Xi's' lobby is grander, and its main pool and kids' pool (Hampton by Hilton) are larger and more fun. The rooms at 'Xi' are also more comfortable; 'Ai's' beds were too soft and the floors creaked. **Service:** 'Ai' significantly outperforms 'Xi' in this regard. When checking into 'Xi', no one contacted me even though it was evening. I even drove to the wrong hotel, the Hampton next door. On the day I left, they didn't process my check-out promptly, which delayed my check-in at the next hotel. At 'Ai', the butler contacted me in advance, openly offering discounts and services, and proactively upgraded my room multiple times. **Activities:** If you're traveling with children, I recommend 'Ai' as it offers a wide range of free activities, with a full schedule throughout the day. However, the beach at 'Ai' was annoying; people constantly bothered me, asking if I wanted to take photos or do water sports, non-stop. **Dining:** 'Xi's' restaurant offers breakfast with an ocean view, which is incredibly refreshing. 'Ai' has two restaurants, with the Horizon restaurant located directly on the beach. Breakfast at both hotels is plentiful, but 'Ai's' pandan cake and coffee cake were absolutely amazing.

Bringing my family to Wanning for a vacation, choosing Four Points by Sheraton was absolutely the right decision! The hotel's cleanliness and environment were impeccable. Our deluxe king room was very clean and spacious, and opening the window revealed a lush green view – it really set the perfect holiday mood 🌊. All the facilities were new and comprehensive, especially having direct access to the beach and pool right downstairs, which made water activities super convenient. Most importantly, the service exceeded our expectations; the staff were incredibly friendly and thoughtfully provided many sightseeing suggestions. Everything was perfect, highly recommended!

Every time I go to Xinglong, I basically stay at Zhongao Hotel. The greenery and ecology of the community are great, and it has a Southeast Asian style.
