"1. First, I suggest the hotel removes air fresheners from the rooms. Only budget hotels use them to mask odors. 2. I was given a room that was still being cleaned upon check-in. I had to wait outside in over 30-degree Celsius heat for more than 20 minutes. There was no emergency plan or special handling. A simple room swap to a similar or better room type would have sufficed. Instead, the 'emergency solution' was a room on an inferior floor, which I was moved into without any prior inspection after cleaning. Water stains were still visible in the room and on the balcony. 3. The refrigerator smelled of leftover food. The 'mini-bar' consisted of just one Fanta and one Sprite, which I wouldn't drink anyway. 4. The shower room design is flawed. There's nowhere to hang towels outside the shower stall. For a twin room with two people showering, there's no consideration for privacy. 5. The room directly faces the high-speed rail tracks. High-speed trains roar past around midnight and 7 AM. 6. The prices fluctuate greatly; booking later can actually be cheaper. 7. The breakfast is, at best, worth 68 yuan, but the advertised price is a huge exaggeration. 8. The complimentary surfing lesson needs clearer instructions and improved teaching quality. It should be clear how many people are in a 'one-to-many' session. It's definitely not worth 298 yuan."

"This trip to Hainan was with my 70-year-old mother, and our first stop was the Westin Shimei Bay in Wanning. I booked a package that included many excellent services. What stood out was our late arrival at Sanya Airport on the first day, at 7:40 PM. The driver called us at just the right time, while we were on the airport shuttle bus. He mentioned we were his only guests that night, so he picked us up in a business van. He didn't wait until 9 PM to leave; we departed from the airport around 8:15 PM. The driver was experienced and drove very steadily, thumbs up! 👍 We arrived at the hotel around 9:40 PM. Check-in was smooth, and the concierge, a lovely lady, provided excellent service and even arranged a complimentary late check-out. I regret not booking more days this time; we didn't go anywhere else, just relaxed, swam, and relaxed some more at the hotel. I'll definitely come back for another vacation. The sea at Shimei Bay is beautiful."

"The hotel boasts an excellent location, making it very convenient for getting around. The resort grounds are beautiful, with stunning scenery everywhere you look, and the ocean is a brilliant blue. The sunset in the evening creates a wonderful ambiance. Coco was attentive and proactive, always helping promptly with any requests. The super-sized pool allows for free swimming, and a stroll on the beach during downtime is incredibly relaxing. The room was clean and quiet, ensuring a very comfortable stay. It's perfect for a relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Highly recommended!"

"We were three families traveling together this time. Our butler, Kim, even helped the two families with children upgrade to family rooms! Last year we stayed at the Westin, and this year we switched to Le Méridien. The butler was really thoughtful and even arranged an extra breakfast for our room. In the afternoon, she also booked a spa treatment for me. The room was also cleaned very quickly. This time, because we stayed in a pool room, I also ordered an afternoon tea. They gave us a lot of food and even included Haagen-Dazs ice cream, which made the kids especially happy. Overall, it was a pleasant trip. The only slight drawback was that the weather in Wanning wasn't great these past two days. I hope for better weather next year!"

"Huge thanks to our butler, Owen, for his excellent and thoughtful service. He went above and beyond to arrange an early check-in and found us a room close to the pool and lawn, which was perfect for our family with kids. We were very happy with the room! Although the in-room facilities weren't brand new, they were well-equipped and quite spacious, even including a dehumidifier. I honestly didn't have high expectations for an older hotel, but this place is like an old Ferrari – still impressive! The location is great, and the amenities are comprehensive, offering most sea activities, various dining options, and a gym. The pool is large, so it never felt crowded, making it very comfortable and relaxing. There were also plenty of lifeguards on duty. The breakfast stations were a bit limited, and the variety wasn't huge, but when you're traveling with kids, that's not a major concern."

"The hotel is located in Xinglong, making it convenient to take a taxi to Riyue Bay and Shimei Bay. Since we had already stayed in Lingshui for three days, we didn't have a strong desire for beaches. There are more activities for kids in Xinglong, and I recommend the botanical garden and farms. The hotel has three swimming pools, and although it was quite busy during the National Day holiday, it takes about 5-10 minutes to walk from the guest rooms, the pools weren't crowded, which was generally nice. The Hilton's cookies are delicious, and the breakfast spread is quite generous, but it gets a bit crowded after 9 AM, so I suggest going early. Shimei Bay has a great atmosphere in the evening, and Goofy Bar has a very good setting."

"Thanks for the room upgrade. Overall, I'm quite satisfied and would stay here again. **Service:** The housekeeping staff were much better than other staff I've encountered; they proactively greeted guests. As for the other staff, everyone just went about their business, haha. The butler's responses were quite slow, and it was hard to get through to the front desk on the phone. **Hygiene:** As a newly opened hotel, it's very clean. **Environment:** It's very close to the beach, making it easy to get into the water. The room environment is also quite good. **Facilities:** There's a large infinity pool, and a tennis court? Football field and such. The area next to it was under renovation, with a large muddy patch, so I'm not sure what will be built there later. The room facilities are very new, which is rare for a hotel by the sea."

"Our stay was one of the most memorable we’ve had in Hainan. The hotel has a unique South African style, beautiful design, and everything is very well maintained with high-quality furnishings. The swimming pool is clean and large enough for real swimming. The local breakfast noodles were delicious and the coffee was also very good. Service was excellent. The receptionist was incredibly patient from the start and went above and beyond to show us all the room options and help us find the one that suited us best. It’s also very pet friendly. The location is convenient—about a 10-minute drive to most places. The hotel even arranged a complimentary photo session. The photographer was patient and friendly, and helped us capture many beautiful memories. One small suggestion, for the private in-room Jacuzzi pool, there isn’t a shower head or sprayer to rinse it down. Only a large faucet to fill it. It would feel much cleaner and more comfortable if a handheld shower were provided for rinsing before use. Everything else was wonderful, but this little improvement would make the experience feel more hygienic and even more relaxing. We would absolutely love to return and highly recommend it to others."
