Rose Garden Palace Roma by Omnia Hotels

Via Veneto Rome|1.97km from Fontana della Minerva
We enjoyed a 3 night stay at Rose Palace. The front desk gave us tired travelers a warm welcome that made us relax immediately. Our room overlooked the back of the American Embassy with guards stationed outside 24/7 so it was definitely safe. The hotel is a little off the beaten path from the usual touristy spots in Rome but in a very quiet area. The room was very clean. We had 3 in our room and the 3rd person had to sleep on a full size pull out couch. It was comfy for a pull out (you couldn’t feel the bar under the mattress) but unless you put up the bed every day the only place to sit were the beds. It had a small fridge and the bathroom was updated but limited on counter space around the sink. The buffet breakfast was geared toward a variety of tastes. Scrambled eggs, a variety of pastries, orange juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, cheese, meat, etc. When the weather was nice we enjoyed sitting outside in the garden. There is a tiny grocery store called Co-op around the corner where you can buy the basics. Also on the next block is an ATM in the alcove of the bank entrance that seemed secure to use. Reading older reviews we thought there was a restaurant in the hotel serving dinner but it turned out to just be a small bar. So we walked a couple of blocks north and ate at Cesarina and enjoyed a good meal and friendly staff. There were a lot of other restaurants to pick from in a 2-3 block radius. The ones on Via Vittorio Veneto appeared to be more expensive than the ones northeast of the hotel. There is a taxi stand a couple of blocks away and we used both Uber and inTaxi for rides back to the hotel.

B&B Hotel Roma San Lorenzo Termini

We stayed here initially as part of a group tour and added a couple of days onto the end. We were concerned it might not be central, but it’s a fantastic location. Walk to station is ok but also only a cheap taxi ride. The area has loads of great local restaurants and bars . They were safe and friendly plus the food was really well priced and local delicious delights. The hotel has everything you need, clean, great showers, good breakfast. Plus if you arrive early or late there’s fridges etc that dispense bottles of wine 6 euros or water plus snacks. The staff are friendly and efficient Wifi great Couldn’t recommend more

The first hotel to stay after arriving in Italy, 7-8 minutes walk from the subway station. There is a bus at the door to the Plaza de Espana. Because the surrounding areas are residential areas, it feels that prices are much cheaper than scenic spots. The bed at Best Western is still very comfortable, but the Italian double bed is composed of two beds. If there are children sleeping, it is better to make a large bed.

We stayed at Domus Castrense for 3 nights near the end of our European holiday. It was fairly close to Termini station. We walked there dragging our luggage. When we found it, it was just a big closed door and on entry there was an old fashionsed cage lift going up to the reception and then onwards further up to a different floor where our room was. Conveniently enough the breakfast room was on our floor too , the 5th. Breakfast was continental style with pastries, juice, yoghurts, fruit, coffee etc Would have loved a kettle or coffee machine in the room. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was small but fresh, modern and fairly newish.

Upon arrival, I found out that this is not a hotel, it is a homestay. In people's homes, we live on the first floor, only a few rooms. It seems that there is also a second floor here, and I forgot. The room was a bit stuffy, and the relationship on the first floor didn't dare to open the window, because the first day I opened the window and killed a lot of mosquitoes at night. The air conditioner is on the ground like an air purifier, and the location is unreasonable. It is wrapped in a window and covered with a window. The bathroom is slightly narrow. Fortunately, it only took two days to make up for it, but the hotel in Rome was originally very expensive. It was already cheaper at around 850, and the price was one point. Breakfast as I have shown. Simple to eat

The room is clean, people are very comfortable, good breakfast! The hotel is antique but they have been well treated, inside the bathroom finds the toothpaste, dental stick, soap, etc. There is no mini bar. The night is very quiet. The area near the University, there are restaurants, bars, supermarkets, very easy to add to the bus, metro. Excellent quality- price, I advise you!

Just got back from a city break in Rome, we loved the city and everything we did there. Then we come to the hotel so I will start with the very few good points. The young lady on reception when we arrived was very nice and friendly. Our room was cleaned daily and bed made and fresh towels left and we slept ok. Now the bad : firstly when we walked into the room i notuced there was no information about anything which i have never come across before, lots of scuff marks on walls, no TV remote (when i asked about it was told you have to use buttons on tv), no tea/coffee making facilities including no cups or glasses, , no hairdryer, broken headboard on bed, bathroom was very dated (certainly didn't look like the photos on the website), the shower head had more water coming out of one side than the other and wouldn't adjust, old mismatched furniture ( wobbly tv table). We booked bed and breakfast which wasnt on the premises, you had to get a card from reception each morning, walk up the road to a small bar where you had a coffee and a pastry, that was breakfast. I definitely wouldn't say the 3-star rating is justified more like a 2 star. If you just want somewhere to sleep, then I'm sure it would be fine for you, but it certainly isn't somewhere to go back to and relax. As a suggestion, I think they could easily provide a kettle, cups, hairdryer, and charge a deposit which you would get back when you left. I missed waking up and having a hot drink whilst getting ready to go out.
