"This was one of the best hotels I have stayed in China. It is world class. The staff are some welcoming and helpful. Although I don’t speak any Chinese they made every effort to communicate with me. We used translate Apps. Everyone was super nice. The room was very large, new and I loved the Tea Station. I have never seen one like this. The location is superb. Right in the middle of the historic village but it is very quiet at night. The breakfast was simple but satisfying. I recommend staying here and would love to come back."

"I recently stayed in room 3129 at this hotel and overall, I had a good experience. The location is excellent as it sits right in front of the beach. The hotel also has a hot spring which is a nice addition, although some areas were not functioning properly due to being broken. The reception staff was very attentive and friendly, particularly one male employee. However, it seemed that the female staff members were not as willing to work. I highly recommend trying the massage services offered at the hotel. I had a neck and back massage which left me satisfied. The breakfast buffet was decent and the dining room supervisor and the reception staff at the buffet were friendly and hardworking. Most of the cooks and servers provided good service. I would also recommend paying for the dinner buffet as it offers a wide variety of seafood. The only downside was a young grill cook who lacked proper manners when I asked a question about the food. He responded lazily and rudely. Additionally, there was a young waitress with a tattoo on her leg who seemed uninterested in working. While the rest of her colleagues were cleaning and setting up tables, she would simply join them and sit down or play with her mobile phone. In terms of the room, the cleanliness was below the minimum standard. It was quite neglected, as they only mopped the floor and it still wasn't clean. There were hairs from previous guests throughout the room. The private hot spring in the room could also use some improvement. "The scenery was STUNNING. If you are planning to take a quick 2-3 day trip to the beach, this location is perfect. It’s about a 5-10 minute walk to the public beaches and a couple parks. The service and food at the restaurant was mediocre, but everything else was exceptional. Quite a few seafood options available in the area, but not much else. No microwave or fridge in the room."

"J had a lovely stay at the Argyle resort and the fact that you just need to cross the parking lot to get to the Dongshan Bathing Spot is definitely amazing! There are some tourist attractions close by, but very far from historical sites. The room was ok, but it looked different from the pictures. Probably a bit of mold on the wall or water damage, dirty windows, and a piece of the wardrobe door was broken. Not what I would expect at a resort. The breakfast had so many options, but very few western choices, limited to sliced bread, butter and jam, yogurt, fruits and coffee. The coffee machine always had an issue, but the staff quickly came to fix it. During my stay there, everyday someone complained about the coffee maker. One of the things that I found really nice is that every day they would bring or leave fruit in my room. But on the last day, I was sleeping, and someone came in. She did apologize, but it was weird having someone in your room while you’re there. In terms of amenities, they have everything really! From shower cap to razors. And the blow dryer was really good! Because it was golden week, the staff was overwhelmed with work (lots of guests and weddings) and they didn’t talk about the facilities - gym, pool, hot springs."

"The room was very satisfactory and clean. We were traveling with two children and chose bunk beds. The children were also very happy. "We stayed at this hotel during the Chinese New Year holiday and had a wonderful experience. The hotel feels new and modern, with a delightful fragrance throughout—especially in the hallways. Our favorite aspects were the spacious room and the stunning bathtub overlooking the ocean. The kids absolutely loved it! The hotel's beachfront location is a major plus. Even though we visited in winter, we were lucky enough to experience snowfall on the beach, which felt surreal and added a magical touch to our stay. The indoor swimming pool on the top floor is decent, offering great views, while breakfast was plentiful and varied. We particularly enjoyed the pastries section. The Chinese restaurant next to the swimming pool is highly recommended—perfect for when you don’t feel like going out, and the food was delicious. The in-room dining service was also excellent. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I’m already looking forward to returning in the summer to try their outdoor swimming pool, which was closed during winter."
