"The hotel is about an hour's drive from downtown Hurghada and is ideal for a pure getaway. There are no shopping malls or supermarkets nearby, but there is a small private shop within the hotel, though prices are high. The room was spacious, and the bedding was new, but the beach was a bit damp. Three meals a day are included, all Western-style, and the quality is acceptable. The menu changes, but a few meals a day might overwhelm a Chinese stomach. Of the five bars, I particularly enjoyed the afternoon rock bar and evening rooftop bar, where you can order your favorite cocktails. The staff's English is difficult to understand, with a slight accent. Their service is acceptable, with some being enthusiastic and others aloof. The room service call center was prompt. Snorkeling on the pier is provided by a safety officer, along with life jackets and floats. The waves can be quite rough, and the officer will ask about your swimming ability. If you're not a good swimmer, don't venture off the pier. The officer on the first day was very helpful, and we were able to see beautiful fish and corals."

"The hotel is simple in a good way. The rooms are small but well designed so it is ok. The pool is huge and everybody is around not in which is even better for people who like to swim quietly. The beach is artificial but that is the way it is. The breakfast is outstanding, on of the best ever, and god knows how many breakfasts I have eaten in hotels. The a la carte menu that you can have at the pool bar or at your lounge chair is short but very tasty. Little deception with the buffet that we took at dinner on our arrival, but you have so many options to dine out as the hotel is located 50 meters from the ”center”, an open air food court with very good restaurants if you choose carefully. Last but not least, If you are into kiting and/or wing-foiling the hotel has an agreement with the Duotone Center located in Casa Cook's a sister hotel. It is a 15 minute ride by Tuk Tuk. In a nutshell we recommend."

"Hôtel propre et récent situé dans la belle ville d’El goun. Dommage qu’il soit loin du vente d’hurghada. Néanmoins il y’a des restaurants dans le centre et une épicierie. L’hôtel est très sécurisé : ils vérifient les réservations à chaque entrée et ils ont même appelés notre guide d’excursion lorsque nous ne sommes pas rentré le soir car ils s’inquiétaient. Le buffet est correcte. Les aliments changent tous les jours et il y a largement du choix. La piscine est belle: néanmoins j’aurais préféré plus de transat. Chambres neuves et modernes. Personnel agréable et qui vous mets à l’aise. Merci pour le cookie offert à notre arrivée 🤗"

"Ich komme schnell zu den Kritikpunkten, es gibt lediglich zwei aus meiner Sicht: erstens der Meerblick. Wir hatten extra dieses Hotel aufgrund des Blicks zum Meer hinaus gebucht. Natürlich garantiert niemand, dass die Bilder genauso sind wie das Zimmer selber, jedoch haben wir aus unserem Balkon auf eine große Baustelle geschaut und auch die Sicht aufs Meer wirklich minimal, da dazwischen auch noch eine große Hotelwand ragte. Vor Ort kann man dann ein Upgrade für zwölf Euro pro Tag pro Person buchen, was bei uns knapp 250 € gewesen wären und somit nicht mehr drin war. Hätte mir gewünscht, dass das online erkennbar ist… Andere Hotels haben oft unterschieden zwischen seitlichem Meerblick und Meerblick.  Der zweite Punkt waren die hohen Preise von Getränken und dem Essen a la carte. Ein Bier aus der Flasche zum Abendessen, was 6€ kostet. Oder eine Mahlzeit zum Mittagessen für 15-20 € ist einfach zu teuer. Die Preise sind in Ägypten. Gerade für Lebensmittel sind sehr billig in Ägypten und ich habe wirklich nicht verstanden, warum Preis Leistung schlechter als in den teuren Großstädten Deutschlands ist. Ansonsten wie in vielen Rezensionen beschrieben: das Essen war gut die Lage ist wirklich top direkt am Riff und die Leute sind fantastisch und freundlich. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und wenn wir noch mal nach Hurghada, zum tauchen oder kiten fahren ist das Hotel unsere Wahl."

We tried the three restaurants: breakfast is just perfect, the beach restaurant is waaaaw food and view, the Nihon restaurant too, the Japanese food was so good and the view was amazing too. "We’ve been to Egypt a lot of times. First time we are staying Sahl hasheesh - ZEN Resort. Very good hotel, spacious room, we had a good balcony with beautiful sea view. Everyone in the resort is very helpful,especially Mohammed Riad - front office manager, he helped us to rent a golf cart and was always there to support us when needed. "This resort is a true oasis. The grounds are filled with vibrant greenery leading right to a pristine beach. A highlight was the traditional Arabic tea house—a must-visit! Our room was exactly as advertised: fresh and modern with a full panoramic water view and the bonus of a bath. It is ideally situated for explorers, being right by the mall and only a 30-minute stroll to the heart of the Old Town. Excellent food and a great overall vibe."
