Avoid , totally in November, absolutely nothing to eat that was edible, a menu system for lunch and evening meals, fish so salty, burgers raw , all dire , the associated dishes were disgusting , there were absolutely no snacks anywhere , to get a drink of water was like a quest . Unless you're Spanish , preferential and racist towards anyone else, the waiters openly ignored us. There were hundreds of Spanish on the Saturday , day of arrival , they had an extensive menu , they left Sunday , as did the food. Everything was closed, the roof terrace, the bar by the street , the Jacuzzi. There is very little to do anywhere except walk . The godsend for food was a Spar in a short distance . They conned me out of £619 , disabled and claustrophobic, they stated they had ground floor rooms with disabled facilities . Wrong they didn't all were suites at an upgrade , so I had no choice . The room was very downgraded , paint peeling , cracked mirrors , worst of all the gardeners jumped over the wall at the bottom of the garden , unannounced abd tidied up I thought they were breaking in . They charged you for just about everything . Don't ever book with LOVEHOLIDAYS, they did absolutely nothing prior and after the holiday to assist and accommodate me in any way , there were NO tour reps , no one you could complain to and sort your problems out. The General Manager was there Thursday , messing around with cutting fruit in the lobby for Christmas , the only day he was there , in the bar was a small container , prawns meats and cheeses , I spoke to the barman this is a change , he stated this happened every day , welk the next day there was nothing , and every day before nothing , token gesture as the General Manager was there. Restaurants in the area exorbitant. If you do want Almeria in that area HOTEL BAHIA and nowhere else .

Arrived by car, not very clear instruction how to access the car park if or where the spaces were? Finally sorted that out. We booked a suite, room only as not a fan of all inclusive. The Small bathroom was in desperate need of a refurb, main room and the middle bath area was fine and no fault of housekeeping as they worked really hard to keep it clean. Lovely view of the seafront, tea/ coffee ironing facility’s mini bar all good. We have been to this resort before its mainly family’s, nice bars, and plenty of restaurants. Beach beds are plentiful and comfortable but the sea can be rough and its course sand . All in all a good 3 day stay.

We arrived at the hotel on the 23rd December staying for 5 days on an all inclusive basis. The hotel is very tired to say the least and the rooms were very disappointing, a complete renovation of the whole hotel is definitely required It is certainly not a 4 star hotel ! Too many unruly children and dogs ( although most of the dogs were better behaved than the children) Food -breakfast, lunch and dinner were on a self service selection, although a good variety and choice, the food was never that hot , mostly lukewarm. No Cava served with dinner but served with breakfast, most perculiar ! Entertainment was mediocre with a flamenco show and 80’s disco but was extremely loud. The Gala dinner on Christmas Eve was an average self service buffet but wonderful service from Adam who really tried to take care of our group. A thoroughly disappointing trip, the group were of the same opinion that the hotel wasn’t geared to British tourists or guests with mobility issues.

The Staff were friendly, the rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel was tired and needed redecoration. Wifi was terrible. The food was cold and limited choice. No kettle in the room which was advertised. The entertainment was not suitable for other nationalities except Spanish. Drinks were expensive and watered down. The bar was up a large set of stairs with no toilets on the same level. In December the lobby air con was pumping out cold air so people were sitting around in coats.

We stayed in this hotel all inclusive for a week in May halfterm. Our group consisted of 6 families, both adults and children (aged 3 to 13) 24 in total. I would definitely recommend a stay in this hotel, and will outline why. Cleanliness. The hotel was incredibly clean, including rooms, poolside, communal areas and restaurant. Our room was cleaned daily very thoroughly and places like the toilets next to the pool seemed to constantly have cleaning staff in attendance. Food and drink. We stayed all inclusive and this worked really well. Personally our family has never done this before so we haven’t got any other experiences to compare but others had. 3 meals a day served in the restaurant, meal times were long enough to give plenty of choice, also there was always plenty of room in terms of tables, even at busy periods. So much choice for food, with salads, buffet options and freshly cooked items such as pasta dishes for dinner, omelettes for breakfast and crepes for kids dessert. Staff were friendly, my son particularly liked Alonso as he always said hello and checked he was ok. There’s a bar by the pool and one inside that you can get drinks at all day, with a good selection of alcohol, hot drinks, ice pops, crisps and tubs of ice cream for kids. Accessibility. Big one for us as my son (9) is a full time wheelchair user. We found the hotel to be pretty good for accessibility. We had an adapted room on the second floor (accessed by 2 lifts) which had a large double bed and a double sofa bed. The bathroom was great with a lower toilet seat, sink you could roll under and lowered shower. The room was quite small for 4 of us and others in our group (some with 3 kids) had larger ones but I suspect this is because accessible rooms are more likely to be for couples than families. We kept it tidy and the beds were comfy and it was cool with air con and a nice balcony looking over the front of the hotel. Other families also got offered upgrades and were happy with the extra space but I don’t think this was possible with my sons needs. In the restaurant there were quite a few steps but also ramps (some that it took us a while to find at the back) but also they had at least 5 tables reserved for disabled guests on the lowest level and staff were good at keeping them free. There were ramps to access most places, with the exception of the raised seating area in the bar and to get into the bar from the poolside. We brought my sons manual wheelchair but think he could have managed in his power chair. One thing to note is that some of the ramps were pretty steep, so it was fine pushing him but if you were self propelling/using a walker it would be tough. We saw quite a few disabled guests and the surrounding area was fine, with dropped kerbs on the pavements and a lovely flat promenade from the back of the hotel all the way into town. The beach had a wooden walkway to the sun beds although it didn’t stretch all of the way and we didn’t enquire about be

A birthday treat for our friend to stay a couple of nights! Our rooms weren’t ready on arrival but was given a voucher for drinks while we waited which was a good gesture by the hotel. The check in receptionist was excellent and although it was really busy with long queues she remained calm and professional under pressure! A bottle of bubbly and card was left in our friends’s room for his birthday which was a nice touch! Rooms with sea view and two huge beds! Bedding and towels spotless white and rooms and bathrooms cleaned to a high standard! Room only so can’t comment about food! Used the bar/cafe between the pool and promenade! The two barmen were excellent offering good service for drinks and breakfast! Glad this area was open this time as lovely location right by the beach! A shame one of the lifts was broken as had to wait a long time at peak times. So busy at checking out time had to carry cases down many flights of stairs! We liked the location of the hotel near to bars and restaurants and plenty parking nearby! Our second stay here and will most likely stay again!
