4-Sterne Superior Erlebnishotel Bell Rock, Europa-Park Freizeitpark & Erlebnis-Resort
4.4/543 Reviews
Stayed for 5 nights as part of a Europa Park / Rulantica visit in a Deluxe Room. Rooms were large & tidy and despite being a relatively large hotel, everything felt 'within reach'. Certainly a cut above equivalent rooms at other European theme park resorts. The included breakfast was busy at times (though to be expected, considering the changes they'd made due to Covid-19) but tasty and at the expected level. Hotel bar was great, with reasonably priced & well made drinks. Very generous portion sizes on the bar food as well. Very short walk to the theme park through beautifully kept grounds. Buses to Rulantica were regular throughout the day. An end note - despite being part of the 5% of visitors not arriving from Germany / France / Switzerland - it didn't show. The vast majority of staff were comfortably multi-lingual and very patient with our ham-fisted attempts at using the German language! Made to feel very welcome by all staff throughout our stay and look forward to returning in the future.

The room was very beautifully decorated and nice and clean (the hotel is only 2 years old) all in a ”Scandinavian” theme. Staff was friendly and efficient. Hotel restaurants were expensive with few cheaper alternatives nearby (unless if you would take the car). Hotel parking was included in the price. Hotel 15 minutes walking distance from the park. Busses in theory every 10 minutes but in practice 15 minutes and pretty full in high season, that's a negative point. Overall very nice hotel, but rather expensive. We payed over 600 EUR for one room (3 adults) for 2 nights, (copious) breakfast included. The hotel also has an outdoor (but no indoor) swimming pool.

More 3.5* than 4*. The hotel is rather new and flashy. The receptionist was super welcoming and helpful, providing all the required information for the stay. The room we got for 4, was spacious enough with complementary water and coffee. The decor is very modern, very bright with coloured ambient lights and a super big flat TV screen with access to Netflix (your own account) and YouTube; it is a life saver, when you have kids. Couple of issue with the room (the room control panel and the shower door not working or damaged), but nothing really to complain too much. The hotel is equipped with a (open air) swimming pool, but, given the season, it was closed; it has a small restaurant for dinner and breakfast. In low season, the restaurant offers only a limited amount of choices (not regional dishes). Breakfast buffet is ok, with some highs (the waffle machine or the nutella auto serving jar); the only problem is that it is served from 9:00 am (we had to book it to have it at 8:00 and it was not possible to have it before). If you are in Rust for the Europa Park, maybe it's not a big issue, but if you are travelling it might be. Parking in front of the hotel is available and there are a couple of places for recharging electric cars. All in all, good experience.
