Scenic Hotels in Koh Lanta

"I stayed at this wonderful hotel in May. It's a perfect place. Every detail has been thought of, ensuring a comfortable stay for guests. 1) The hotel grounds are large and well-maintained, with lots of greenery. The bamboo arch and several bridges are particularly eye-catching. Every corner of the hotel invites you to take a photo, and it will be beautiful. The lobby is spacious, with a beautiful view. Monitor lizards roam freely throughout the hotel. 2) The rooms. I stayed in the most basic room. Again, everything has been thought of for a comfortable stay. The bathroom is spacious and perfectly clean. The bed is super comfortable, with plenty of pillows to choose from and crisp white linens. The TV has a wide selection of channels. The room has plenty of shelves for storing things, which sets it apart from other hotels. A large bag with large towels for the pool is provided in the room. The terrace is spacious. I felt as comfortable as at home. 3) Pools and beach. The central pool, although small, is clean and chlorine-free. The water is always clean. There's a second pool where there weren't any swimmers. I liked it because it's suitable for professional swimmers. Klong Dao Beach is clean and well-maintained, located near the hotel. In the evenings, there are great sunset views. During the day, there were very inexpensive happy hours on drinks from the restaurant. 4) Spa. Special thanks to Su, who has golden hands. It was a wonderful relaxation experience. I want to come back again and again. In May, there was also a free happy hour. The spa at this hotel is worth the money! 5) Food. The breakfasts are varied and varied. It's impossible to go hungry. The breakfast spot has a gorgeous view from any angle. The coffee is delicious! In the evening, you can dine on delicious dishes at the Barracuda bar. I recommend the tuna salad and minestrone soup. Finger-licking good! 6) Staff! These are the people I want to express my deepest gratitude to and thank the hotel management for such great staff. Michelle, Nina, and others whose names I didn't recognize helped me every time I asked for help. Whether it was me not being able to turn on the TV, or there was a huge scorpion outside my room, or I urgently needed laundry, they always helped promptly. The staff is pleasant to talk to; everyone is smiling, tactful, and ”in their element.” At breakfast, in the bar, by the pool, in the lobby, at reception, in the spa, and even the drivers in the car—everyone is very pleasant! 7) General. The hotel is located on a clean beach, near the pier. After the taxi, a minicar will meet you and take you to reception, then to your room. You can rent a bike and ride around the island. There is a place for volleyball. I liked the hotel perfectly; I promised to come back again! It's a shame you can't stay with children during high season, but that's the hotel's policy. Everything is done to ensure a quiet and relaxing stay for guests. 🤷🏻♀️There are three separate, comfortable areas for smokers. Smoking is prohibited on the terraces. The only minor drawback for me was the forks. They were so uncomfortable that I wanted to buy a plastic fork and eat with it. We will definitely come back here! I recommend it 100%!! 👌❣️"

"What a wonderful resort! I would recommend Long Beach x1000. The staff were fab, amenities were fab and value for money was brilliant. There’s an on site restaurant which is delicious but also local restaurants which are super reasonably priced. You have the pool and beach, massages and laundry on site. The breakfast buffet is the best I have ever encountered! We will certainly come again. The only negative was that it’s a lined pool which wasn’t the cleanest but I know they’re building a new pool at the moment and the private Jacuzzi and beach more than made up for it. Also the happy hour is brilliant (and available on room service!!)"

"This resort is truly exceptional. The accommodations are generously proportioned, featuring direct pool access from some rooms, in addition to a beachfront pool. The staff consistently provides outstanding assistance, and the manager was particularly supportive in addressing my needs beyond standard hotel services. The resort's prime beachfront location is a significant advantage. Furthermore, charming cottage-style rooms are available. I highly recommend this establishment for a comprehensive resort and spa experience."

"We stayed at rawi warin for 4 nights in one of the hillside rooms. The room was spacious with a small balcony. The bed in particular felt huge as it was 2 beds pushed together. As other reviews mention, the hillside rooms are about a 10 mins walk away from the main pool. Walking is quite pleasant though as you are surrounded by greenery. And there's a closer hillside pool that has a great view. The facilities were great esp. the main pool which was huge, chlorine free, and very empty past 6pm - we were often the only ones using it in the evening. Also enjoyed the table tennis and pool tables. My only piece of feedback is that the resort could be better lit at night - it was too dark walking down paths/stairs. Loved seeing lizards and monkeys around the resort. Didn't try the hotel food much - there are some good restaurants a short walk away. The stretch of beach attached to the resort was beautiful and good for swimming."

"The first time I went, I was very impressed from the moment I saw the island and felt that this place was as beautiful as on TikTok. No kidding. The staff were lovely and cheerful. There were few Thais, mostly foreign tourists. But it was lovely because the place was quiet and not chaotic. If anyone likes to relax and have fun, I recommend this place. It's not chaotic, there are no drunk tourists, no ***** to bother you. When it was 10 pm, everyone went back to their rooms. No one came to see us. It felt safe and the service was good. Steps to go to the island for friends who don't know yet 1. Book through the app or call to ask about the accommodation price first. Because the price is not the same. Sometimes you may get it cheaper than on the app. Or the app may be cheaper than the store. 2. Once you have booked, go to the pier to ask how many people will go. The price per person is 350 baht per person. But if you want it cheaper, try to negotiate a round trip. 350 baht for the round trip and 300 baht for the return trip. 3. The boat will leave 2 times. There are rounds at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Leave on time. Wait 5-10 minutes in advance. Caution: Be careful of mosquitoes at night. You can bring mosquito spray or apply mosquito repellent at night (the accommodation has mosquito nets and plug-in mosquito repellent). Pros: Everything is good, whether it's the accommodation, strong shower water, good hot water, good service, good food, not too expensive. Some bars that are not on the island are more expensive. On the island, the price is acceptable. Good service, not too delicious food but not too bad. The view is very good. The water is clear. In the evening, the water level goes down a lot. At 10:30, when the water rises, the boat will dock. Note: In summary, if I had to give a score of 10, I would give it a score of 10/10, no deductions at all, because it's worth the money spent and it's quiet and not chaotic. Go, if it's good, I'll say it's good."

"Much has been said about the hotel’s aesthetics so I’d like the comment on the service recovery of the F&B team. Despite having an incident with my first meal, the team followed up not just with an earnest remedy but graciously checked in with me during the remainder of my stay. Particularly, P’Mai was very friendly and sincere in her demeanour, and I appreciated the gift she had prepared for me on my last day. Overall, it was a sincere and all-rounded service recovery effort delivered by staff who genuinely care about their guests. The only reason I docked a star is for the resort’s relative lack of accessibility to dining and entertainment options outside its grounds, with the closest village being a 10-15 min walk. More day/group trip options to other interesting Koh Lanta landmarks might also help to expand its offering (though it should be acknowledged that some guests might be happy to enjoy amenities/activities within the hotel). All in all, this was a wonderful property to stay in and I’d gladly return/recommend it to others visiting Koh Lanta."

"Exceptional service and a wonderful stay at Avani+!** We had an amazing stay at Avani+ Koh Lanta! It is truly a high-level hotel, and what stands out the most is the incredible service. From the front desk to the restaurant and room service, the entire staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. The rooms are highly comfortable and well-equipped. The hotel features beautiful pools and a lovely beach, though it’s worth noting that the beach is mostly rocky. A few practical tips for future travelers: * **Location & Transport:** The hotel is relatively isolated, so we highly recommend renting a scooter or a car to explore the island. The agent at the receptionist was incredibly friendly and helped us arrange everything w good prices. * **Layout:** The resort is built on a hill, so walking around can be a bit challenging with some steep climbs. However, this isn't an issue at all because you can easily call the hotel's free buggy service to take you anywhere. Overall, this is a highly recommended hotel and definitely one of the best on the island. We would love to come back!"

"I can only assume the five stars are for the bathtub, but the water pressure is quite low. 1. Check-in requires a cash deposit or logging your credit card details. 2. The bedding was genuinely damp. I thought it might be typical for a seaside location, but other hotels, even with sea view rooms, weren't nearly as damp. 3. Upon check-in, the bedding looked really old and worn, like it was long overdue for an update. 4. Razors and similar amenities are not standard; you have to ask for them. This room type has no elevator, and while it's only up to the third floor, it's quite a trek. 5. The poolside area and happy hour by the sea are nice. Compared to the Double Lotus (four-star) hotels nearby, they are significantly better than this one."

"Beautiful resort outside of town - the pool and almost private beach was amazing! The room was very spacious and had really nice amenities (good aircon, TV with online streaming, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion). The housekeeping would come daily if you wished and replenish the water, coffee, towels and sheets - if you didn’t want them to come in, they would still deliver water and toilet paper for you. The staff were always very friendly and helpful if you needed anything. The breakfast was good, as it wasn’t busy season you could pick from a variety of western or Thai dishes from a special menu. The gym was well equipped and they had a free pool table, along with an onsite massage and restaurant (we didn’t eat at the restaurant, we opted to walk around the corner to the local restaurants, which had nice Thai and some western food). Things to keep in mind ~ the resort is very far away from the main areas (no nearby 7-Eleven or connivence store). They don’t have Grab on the island, so you will need to hire a scooter if you come without transport should you wish to go anywhere. The resort has onsite scooter hire for 1 hour, 12 hours and 24 hours. They also picked us up from town when we arrived which was amazing, but to get back into town for departure was 500 baht. Due to it being monsoon season, they weren’t offering the kayaks to be taken out. They did let you borrow a snorkel and mask if you wanted to go snorkelling. Overall it was absolutely lovely and made for a really relaxing stay ✨"
