"If you're coming to Koh Samet, this is the place to stay! Right outside the hotel is a great snorkeling spot. If you have fins and swim a bit further out, you'll see even more fish. Even if you don't snorkel, just tossing bread crumbs by the shore attracts a whole bunch of little fish, so it's fun for all ages. Plus, the fact that it's not crowded is a huge bonus."

"This is a fantastic place to stay! We booked the room for three people, and it was great. It had a separate room with a double bed (for two people) and another room with a single bed (for one person), complete with a TV and dining table. There's a counter, fridge, shoe cabinet, and plenty of storage space. The bathroom is shared, with two entrances: one from the single-bed room and another from the double-bed room. It's really convenient. The beds are super comfortable. The air conditioning in both rooms is easy to adjust with the remote. You can even watch YouTube on the TV, which is a great touch. Check-in is at 2 PM and check-out at 12 PM. I highly recommend booking with breakfast included – it was absolutely delicious! "The taxi from the pier cost 250 baht. The beach right in front of the hotel is fantastic, and the male attendant who manages the towels was really good – he's the reason I gave the last 100 baht as a tip. His enthusiasm also led us to book a night squid fishing trip for 9 people. However, all the staff here seem to have two different attitudes: one for Western guests and another for Chinese guests. While everyone else managed basic politeness, the female server in the restaurant (pictured in photo 2) was incredibly rude to us. This is my fifth time vacationing in Thailand, and I've also traveled to the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Mauritius, the Maldives, and Hamilton Island, but this is honestly the first time I've encountered a staff member so rude. She pointed her finger at me and loudly demanded that I push the water bottle from the middle of the table to against the wall. I was completely stunned. Upon check-in, they asked for 500 baht per night for an extra bed for our 6-year-old. Since the three of us could comfortably share the king-sized bed, we declined and only paid for the child's breakfast, which was 200 baht per day. One evening, we also encountered teenagers on the beach who were indiscriminately bullying kids playing there. I never even saw something like this in Australia, yet it happened on Koh Samet. Thankfully, my English speaking skills are decent, and after a big argument, he ended up yelling that he was going to call the police. Overall, I still wouldn't recommend booking a hotel here. The pricing attracts a certain type of clientele, and since there are many very cheap hotels nearby, the beach attracts all sorts of tourists."

"Friendly staff.. Room is beautiful. This is our second visit to same hotel. Last visit we can use the swimming pool at Samet Pavillion (we were told that they have the same owner) But this visit staff inform us the pool there is close for renovation which we checked, was fully functional as usual.. Not recommend this hotel if you are looking for hotel with swimming pool and also who can not walk up the hill & stairs."

"The room was decent, quite spacious. Breakfast was a mix of à la carte and buffet, which was pretty good, though the breakfast area didn't have air conditioning. However, the island's temperature was fine, not too hot. The location is to the right of the pier, very quiet with few people around. The fire show at the restaurant in the evening was fantastic. Remember to bring some cash for tips, as they work really hard!"
