4-Star Hotels in Rayong City

We booked two rooms with a connecting door, which at first looked great with a nice river view. However, at 9 p.m., the air conditioner in one of the rooms broke down. After we informed the hotel, a member of the front office team suddenly appeared and handed us a new room keycard without even asking if we wanted to move. We didn’t, as our main priority for staying here was the connecting rooms. He then said it would surely take a long time to fix the issue, but we were fine with waiting. Surprisingly, the engineering team fixed it within 15 minutes. This made me think the hotel staff were just too lazy to fix it right away. Also, the morning egg station chef always seemed very serious, which made our mornings feel a bit too serious as well.

This is my third time at Ao Prao Beach, and it's my favorite beach. No matter which hotel I stay at, I always make sure to come here for their Italian food. The staff even remembered us, which was a lovely surprise. The breakfast was also delicious. However, the ordered items arrived after we had finished eating. While tasty, the long wait was a bit disappointing. There are no toothbrushes among the room amenities, so it's best to bring your own. There were people smoking on the beach chairs, and the smoke was drifting over due to the wind. When I asked a staff member if they could smoke in the designated smoking area, the staff member pointed at me and said, 'That person is complaining about you.' I just wanted to avoid a problem and asked the staff to tell them there's a smoking area they should use. Being pointed at made me feel very uncomfortable. Other than the beach staff, everyone else was very friendly and accommodating.

It was great! The atmosphere was lovely, the view was beautiful, and it was peaceful and quiet. There's a swimming pool, it's private, and there's no noise disturbance. If I have the chance, I'll definitely go back again. I was impressed with both the accommodation and the staff service.

Pros: The hotel features an all-wood design, and the ocean-view rooms offer a truly pleasant experience with stunning sea views and the sound of the waves. I'd expected the bedding in the room to be damp, but to my surprise, it was dry and fluffy. The hotel restaurant: The dining environment is spacious and comfortable, with a pergola and tatami seating right on the beach. The chef's culinary skills are excellent, with both presentation and taste being perfect. Both hotel and restaurant staff are incredibly polite and friendly. Right next to the hotel is their company's pier for guest transfers. The hotel provides free shuttle service, boat rides, and luggage handling, making island access and departure very convenient, hassle-free, and effortless. Cons: The hotel offers paid laundry service, but there's no self-service laundromat. The nearest 24-hour self-service laundromat on the island is a bit far.

The room is spacious, and the air conditioning works really well, much better than the Hilton next door. But the main highlight is the breakfast — it's vastly superior to the Hilton's, and the price is lower too. Plus, there are some great Thai restaurants nearby that are also very affordable.

I've stayed on both the south and north sides of the island, and the advantages of Sacaya are clearly evident. Firstly, it's very close to the main street and 7-Eleven, making shopping, dining, and renting a scooter incredibly convenient, all within a few minutes' walk. Secondly, there are three pools: the leisure village resort pool and the beachfront pool, all perfect for a swim. Thirdly, it's very, very close to the beach. When I first booked, I couldn't tell the different room locations, but the bungalows and deluxe rooms seem to be the closest to the sea. Of course, it also depends on the angle; there are more reefs near the 'Love Tree' area and a long sandy beach near the bar/restaurant. Fourthly, there's a daily fire show and boat pick-up/drop-off service. Fifthly, the breakfast buffet offers a good variety. The service staff and the security guards across the street were all very friendly, smiling, and welcoming.

Since we were traveling as a family and wanted to stay together, we ultimately chose this hotel. The service was truly excellent; the staff were very attentive and had a great attitude. We also tried the restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the food was good and reasonably priced. In the evenings, there was a fire dance show. The hotel has a private beach with clear water and soft sand, which our kids absolutely loved. You could even see many fish in the sea. The hotel isn't on the main street, so it's about a 35-minute walk, making it quite quiet. I'd recommend renting a scooter. For going out at night, walking along the beach feels safer. Our family had a very relaxing vacation here!

The hotel is beautiful, modern, and the grounds are well-maintained, with everything blooming and fragrant, including a pond with fish. Around the pool, there are stylish sun loungers. On the sandy beach, you'll find sun loungers with umbrellas. The staff is friendly. Breakfast is delicious. The restaurant is located right by the sea. Dinner was simply magnificent: squid and shrimp with garlic and pepper, and the tuna salad was amazing. The price is reasonable at 250 baht for a dish from the chef. The room is spacious, with a large, king-sized bed and pristine white linens. The room includes a capsule coffee machine (2 capsules and 2 tea bags upon check-in), a kettle, and 2 bottles of water. Near the hotel, there are also bars and other small hotels. Be careful of sea urchins in the ocean; swim in the designated areas. A taxi from the pier costs 200 baht. When you want to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy some solitude, this is the perfect place 🫶 We loved everything and would love to return again 🥰 Thank you for your care and attention, and wishing the hotel prosperity 🌸

This is definitely one of the top resorts on the island. You can snorkel right off the beach in front and see so many fish, though the price is quite high. Getting to the main street isn't very convenient; you'll need the front desk to call a car for you. But the scenery makes up for everything! It's truly a perfect getaway.

Everything was clean, a few steps away from the beach and a big enough pool when not busy. When we initially arrived at Koh Samet, I called the hotel 5 times in the span of 10 minutes and there was no answer. But each day that we were at the hotel, there was almost always someone sat at the desk.... Breakfast was included but the food was very lacking. There is no security and the staff go home after 8pm so if you worry about theft, I wouldn't stay here.
