DDanzipaiduisishengfanmamaThe room and service were decent. Perhaps with the rising prices in Thailand, it doesn't stand out as much anymore. To get to and from the hotel from the pier on the island, you'll need to take a songthaew. It's definitely more convenient to rent a motorbike if you're staying on the island, you can even ride to some small beaches in the south to relax. The hotel's restaurant has a nice ambiance and is good for a fancy meal. I'd recommend a street food stall I found – for about 200 baht per person, including four or five beers, the food was delicious. They even sent a small cake on my birthday night.

TT- springerThe room's cleanliness was decent, and the environment was quite good. The beachfront massage was nice. Breakfast was very average. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel, and both were pretty good. There was a young guy who served us for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and he never smiled, which honestly dampened the vacation mood a bit. The ladies at the front desk, however, provided great service. Koh Samet is a hidden gem with jelly-like clear waters, definitely worth a visit.

GGuest UserA good place where the price matches the quality. The hotel is a complex of small separate bungalows located on a hill, so you need to walk up some stairs to get to your room. The room has everything you need: a bed, a bathroom, tea and coffee and a terrace. It really feels like living in the jungle - you can hear birds singing all the time, and we even saw geckos among the flowers. The staff was polite and unobtrusive. They brought clean towels, toiletries, and drinking water every day. The sea is very close, just across the road, and there is a nice sandy beach nearby. I would give this place a solid 4 out of 5. There were a few small issues, but they were solved quickly. For example, the shower didn’t work when we checked in, but it was fixed soon after. The location is very convenient: it’s between the more lively area with cafés and restaurants, and quieter, more secluded beaches.

GGuest UserThis resort is located in Ao Noi Na, which is very quiet and perfect for a relaxing getaway. We booked a beachfront pool villa, and it was fantastic! You can walk straight from your room into the ocean. The breakfast wasn't very diverse. The staff provided good service, especially the front desk personnel who were very welcoming and helpful. However, other staff members were foreigners and couldn't communicate in either Thai or English, which caused a bit of a communication problem. Overall, it's pretty good for the price of accommodation on the island.

QQuenxWe stayed from April 15-17 in a family room on the first floor. There were three of us, and I can't imagine how four people could fit in there—the room is tiny. There's one armchair right outside the room, and that area is also very cramped, with people constantly walking by. There's no restaurant, only drinks available. The sun loungers are quickly packed away in the evening. There's a lot of hustle and bustle nearby; if you're looking for relaxation, this isn't the place for you. Honestly, for this price, you can find a much better hotel on this island. The hotel is definitely in need of renovation. The staff, however, were lovely ❤️

NNipoditangxianzuStayed for 2 nights and 3 days. You can snorkel directly in front of the hotel, and there are more fish near the coral reefs, but I wouldn't recommend going there if the waves are big. It's best to wear long pants and diving socks to avoid scratches. The sand right outside is very fine and soft. Breakfast is served by the sea with ocean views. The bar street can get a bit noisy at night, so it might not be suitable for light sleepers, but since we usually go to bed late, it didn't bother us. A major plus is that the bedsheets are changed for every new guest. The room has many windows, making it bright and airy. The only downsides are that the shower only has a handheld showerhead and the water pressure is a bit low. For shopping, try to go to the 7-Eleven on the main street, as the supermarket here is about a third more expensive. Overall, it offers great value for money and is perfect for a relaxing holiday.

GGuest UserI had an amazing stay at Kira Baya on Koh Samet and would definitely recommend it overall. Ace and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The rooms were exceptionally clean, very well maintained, and we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. Both breakfast and dinner were enjoyable, with good variety and quality. We also really appreciated having access to the kayak, which added a fun touch to the experience. One thing to note, as others have mentioned, is that the beach in front of the property is quite stoney and could benefit from some cleaning. Additionally, the hotel is located at the far end of the island, so getting around requires some planning. There is a shuttle service available, but it is not included in the stay and not directly provided by the hotel, which is something other hotels tend to handle better. That said, I was able to rent a scooter for 100 THB per hour, which gave me a great opportunity to explore the island independently. Overall, despite a few minor inconveniences, this was a fantastic stay with excellent service, and I would happily return

MMegan EastThe hotel is lovely, and the traditional wooden bungalow is perfect for a solo traveler, what was not great is the constant music till 10 at night, if you are looking for peace and quiet this is not the place to stay. Starting at 5 you have the saxophone player, followed by a one man band, then the fire show, and then the one man’s band again till 10- to 10.30. It repeats the same format every night, so you have to make sure you are away from it. The way the resort is set out, it’s hard to escape the constant noise. 5 days of this and I need another vacation just from the lack of sleep. If you like the constant party vibe then you will love it. I would think they just save their money, do one massive fire show on the weekend, and have chill during the early week days.

GGuest UserI have stayed at Flamingo Villa before (In the Garden Room), but this time I decided to stay in the loft room, which apparently is called the Family Room. Flamingo Villa is somewhat strange, since the ”Hotel” is basically three rooms within the Samed Your House hotel. Our neighbors actually knocked on our door to try and check in ~ You need to call the phone number for Flamingo Villa in order to check in, as someone will come out to meet you. So, bottom line up front: Flamingo Villa is awesome, but get ready to kill a lot of mosquitos! The owners do a good job of lighting incense sticks to try and keep the them away, but there are fountains around the area and the mosquitos are no joke. I would say I killed at least 10 in our room, so it is super important to make sure you close the sliding doors behind you every time you go in and out of the room. The Family Room was awesome. The lower floor is basically a living room with a large day bed and a big TV with great speakers. The toilet room is separate from the shower. The stairs to the loft are pretty steep, but once you get up there it is really nice. There are two queen beds in the loft, and the glass wall and sliding door separate the bedroom from the main room, which is great because the bedroom has its own AC unit, and the glass keeps out the mosquitoes. The beds were comfortable, but be careful because the ceiling is very low above the beds. The view from up in the loft is very peaceful, and the owners obviously spent a lot of time decorating the place (The Christmas tree was still up while we were there). The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Sai Kaew Beach, and the pier for the ferry is only a 10 minute walk ~ but you can take a mini bus if you would like. The hotel is close to restaurants and stores, and there are two 7-11s close to the beach. We rented a motor bike the last time we were in Koh Samed, but Sai Kaew Beach seems to be the nicest on the island, so we just hung out there. I love Flamingo Villa, and I am sure I will stay there again in the future.

GGuest UserThe location is convenient, just a few meters from the sea, and close to the lively areas too. The hotel itself is in a relatively quiet spot, and I say 'relatively quiet' because it's surrounded by lush vegetation. Many birds start their dawn chorus early in the morning, which is actually lovely – waking up to the sounds of different birds is quite nice. The hotel is a bit old, and the rooms aren't large, but they do clean upon request. The rooms have everything you need for a short stay. We really enjoyed it, though our noisy neighbors who were playing loud music and singing spoiled it a little. However, the hotel staff quickly quieted them down by asking them to keep it down.
