Golden City Hotel Dongdaemun Reviews

Pretty mediocre, to be honest. The flooring was just stick-on tiles, and the whole hotel reeked of curry. It was full of Indian and Pakistani guests... This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at, absolutely dreadful. Even the slippers weren't disposable; they were those cushioned ones that looked like they'd been worn countless times.

the hotel location was great, and with a free parking spot! only thing is they didn‘t provide toothbrush and toothpaste… but there‘s a CU convenience store right at ground floor so no big issue

Awesome enough for a short stay with my friends, juz visiting for 3 days with my friends after our trip in japan, easier to get here, juz 3-5 mins walking from Janghanpyeong Station (forgot the name ardy), super convenient place to stay, right next to this hotel got CU Mart, and 7E

Golden City is a hotel that offers standard features of Korean hotels. Staff is nice and willing to help. However I cannot recommend to make it your base while in Seoul unless you have business to do in the neighborhood. The location although relatively close to the subway and the bus stop, is not particularly convenient for tourists. There is not much around. Another major issue is the noise from inside and even outside as the hotel is on a busy avenue. The soundproofing is bad, I had 3 nights of very bad sleep.

This was a good hotel to stay at for a fair price. The location wasn't too bad. It's not central to all the touristy places but it has easy access to buses and subways. Dongdaemun is a cute area of Seoul so will probably stay here again in the future.

The hotel was fine but a little bit out of the way. It's not near the dongdaemun you imagine.

We had fun staying in the hotel. Very accessible. We will definitely come back.

The location is quite convenient, right off Exit 1 of Changhanpyeong, and the room is right by the main road, making it easy to find. However, it can be a bit noisy at night. They don't provide toothbrushes, but there's a supermarket downstairs, and a 24-hour hangover soup place nearby that's really delicious.

Great value for money. The room was also clean.

5-10 mins walk to train station, not near bus station bed quality is good and clean

Reseptionist attitudes were not good

This hotel is decent, and the price isn't too expensive. I booked a room without breakfast. The location is a bit out of the way, not close to any tourist attractions, but the surrounding area is nice with many restaurants that stay open late.
