We stayed at the hotel from the15/06/24 to 17/06/24. I am heavily pregnant and also had a disabled son. I had requested a ground floor room which could have Wheelchair access also, I given a room which was right at the end of the corridor which was quite a walk. The room wasn’t that spacious upon a first glance the room looked okay but when we actually looked into everything we found that the complimentary biscuits and teas had been opened prior to us getting there, which means they had not been changed. When it came to changing the bedding for cleaners to clean the room, they did not change the bed and they left the same bedding on the bed and just cleaned out the shower. When it came to breakfast, there was not a lot of variety I am allergic to egg and would have liked to have things labelled to be honest although there is someone there she was helping a lot of people and it was only her. Also we had paid for late checkout which I called before arriving and made sure it had been put on my room, when I arrived I spoke to the receptionist to make sure it was on my room also but then when it came to the checkout was called at 11 am And told that we should be checking out. The receptionist did not bother to check and see that our room had a late checkout which was quite annoying because this is a service that we requested and checked twice before we started our stay at the hotel considering the amount of money we paid, I would’ve expected a bit more attention to detail. Also, we had an issue with our phone in the room and when asked if it would be fixed, we was told that there was no maintenance people available over the weekend which I thought was quite irresponsible and unsafe because if there was any issues in the room there would be no way for us contacting reception in an emergency so we had no dialling out tones. Also one thing that did shock me was that there was no fridge in the rooms there was a number of us that was staying in different rooms and only The extremely big rooms had fridges but the rooms that could sleep double beds twin beds on the ground floor did not seem to have any fridges in, which was quite strange as I’ve stayed in hotels like Premier Inn, etc and they all come with a fridge Considering you’re staying there for a number of nights, it would be nice to be able to have the option to drink cold. In all considering the money that we paid, I was quite disappointed with the service we received considering I was heavily pregnant and had a disabled child which we booked and let the hotel know from 2023 .
