Anting Villa Hotel is not a modern monolith of a hotel... but an elegant return to the past. I truly enjoyed my stay. The room was comfortable and the staff was friendly. Metro line 1 is an extremely short walk away making travel around the city fairly easy. Unfortunately, between the May Day holiday and construction on the other buildings, the gym was closed and the hotel restaurant was only working the breakfast service. Speaking of, the breakfast service was delightful. There were plenty of options for those with both local and Western tastes.

great location in the French Quarter -- on a nice quiet street. nice grounds. Remodeling is a completely separate building, so did not disturb the main building. nice grass and nice grounds. Rare for this location.

The hotel staff are extremely helpful; especially the front desk workers! I have encountered many obstacles throughout my stay in Shanghai and the staff are patient, resourceful, and efficient to resolving all my obstacles. 嚴曉珍, one of the front desk workers, who is warm, friendly, and professional and has high problem solving skills! The hotel is very lucky to have a staff like her!
The location is really nice! The neighborhood is beautiful and convenient. You can find nice restaurants, cafes, and bars. All in walking distance! I highly recommend this hotel to all kinds of travelers; business or pleasure!

It's an excellent stay in this nice boutique hotel. Beautiful garden, great location easy to access to the subway and other places. The staffs are friendly, particularly Mr Wu at lobby looks after us very well. We will come back again to stay in this hotel.

A good hotel for this price, with a pleasant retro ambiance. The location is excellent. The food is good and cheap for this location. Beds are comfortable.
