Sigiriya Wewa Addara Hotel - Hotel by the Lake

Wewa Addara has one of most peaceful locations with a beautiful lake view . Just sitting outside your room with the view of the Lake is so serene. The rooms are somewhat basic but with all amenities. The staff is really friendly and tries their best to accommodate your needs.

Great Location and excellent service. They have the best staff, Their food was also very good and the best view of the lake. We really enjoyed our stay there. Highly recommended to go and enjoy your time there in Sigiriya.

My overall experience at this hotel was excellent. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The highlight was the wonderful lake view, creating a serene and beautiful environment. The food offered was also exceptional.

We are a Srilankan Australian family on holiday. Spacious rooms befitting a classy abode second to none, An open dining room area with a lounge to match complimenting the open relaxing living . Here is a hideout, in the quietness of the jungle hugging an isolated lake (tank)waters extending to mingle with the hotel in silhouette. I sat by the loneliness of the evening to the humming sounds of birds watching with interest two local fishermen in mid lake exhibiting the use of their local fishing traps. The beauty of the setting sun over the lake added only charm to the ever smiling staff who served us Ceylon finest Tea with their ready assistance to comfort your stay in style. As migrant Srilankan Australians on a short holiday are glad that we chose no better place to relax in comfort to enjoy Srilankan hospitality, not forgetting the delicious food. The manager along with the well trained staff needs to be complimented for their professionalism. We will sure come again! and unhesitatingly recommend Wawa Addara to any Aussie searching for a stay when visiting historic Sigiriya. Cheers Priyanthi and Nissanka Canberra Australia

I visited hotel this month, service and food facility are so wonderful, atmosphere are so natural and beautiful and I'm experiencing one of the best experience in recent time , would love to visit again

This hotel could have been awesome - the management and staff were excellent; accommodating, friendly and helpful and we were given a room with an amazing view of the lake and the rock, with huge panoramic views. But it just felt like maybe the hotel had seen better days and there were some really important things lacking - - The food. It just wasn’t great, either for breakfast or dinner. Chicken cooked to oblivion and in tasteless sauce, awful processed sausages, chickpeas on their own for breakfast, weak and tasteless coffee. In the buffet, trays were left empty for ages and big groups of school tours were able to decimate them before we got to the table. We’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in Sri Lanka now and the food has been consistently a lot better than this - we had to find local restaurants for tastier options and this was painful - after a long day visiting monuments you want nothing more than a delicious meal and amazing food can really improve your sentiment of a hotel - The bathrooms - they either had no seal under the shower so that you’re left with a flooded floor after a shower, had taps that didn’t stay on, or had water that was either cold or boiling hot with nothing in between. On the plus side, the beds were very comfortable and we slept well after long days of activity and as I said the views and general location were exceptional. I hope that this feedback can be used to make some small but important changes to make this the exceptional hotel it could be. As it currently is I don’t think it can justify the high price.

SriLanka is a beautiful country, and Sigiriya is the place we visited first! What a beauty! And this hotel adds to it. Beautiful location-The view, the service everything was up to mark!
