Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree

We wanted to have an experience nearer to home. The stay was just too short. Wish have more time to explore more spots. Overall highly recommended for one who want to explore nature and same time a holiday away from home.

Good location. Walking distance to zoo, night safari and river wonders. There are plenty of restaurants outside the resort. There are complimentary shuttle to bird paradise and wildlife asia. Breakfast variety is ok but quality can be better. Ok for a family retreat.

we like the air quality and bird eye view of Upper Seletar Reservoir which blends the nature and luxury seamlessly.

Location was great, its clean and quiet. What makes our experience umpleasant,? At 9pm someone knocks the door, i was about to sleep , before i opened the door,the staff open it first which is for me is not right. She came in open the candle and fold thr side of the bed and left, it this was a routine for the hotel, they have to inform us during the check in , atleast we are aware that there is something like this happening. Knowing that the room is occupied, cant just barge in their and do ur thing, what if we require a privacy, and also if we are not there, staff came in without are knowing, is the hotel will be liable for any losses?. I call the guest service to ask about it, she just said ok i will check. And just put down the phone. You should change it. If they wanna continue it atleast inform the guest during the check in. 2nd, i ask for ice pack as my daughter head bump somewhere . I call the reception few times and no one picking up that i have to go down myself to request for it . It take more than 30mins and aftr that i got a call saying they do not have ice pack, also small details that reception/staff should know to offer alternative rather than waiting for long and saying they dont have it.

Overall the stay cation was fantastic . However , the navigations around the areas is a little complicated and far . I will rate overall 8/10 for the stay . A lot of improvements have to be made

Gave location 5* even though it is at mandai because this information is already known prior to booking. The reservoir facing room has great view and is very comfortable. Able to hear nature without the worry of insects entering the room as there is mosquito net protection. Awesome for city people like us!
